What nations would appear if your Nation broke up?

As my nation was founded following a secession from The Commonwealth of Australia, it would probably just rejoin Australia. The only difference would be, that the Indigenous Republic of Australia would probably form in the north of my nation.

Should the Federal Republic of Shamsiyya collapse, the 29 cantons, who would then be independent states, would be very unlikely to remain independent forever, but, much rather, seek to form new nations by joining one another. In the long term, a new pan-Shamsiyyan state would appear, but would look very different from the current FR.

The Shamsiyyan Confederation.
The Ilkhanate of Maramiyya and Titrabul.
The Confederated States of Jazirat Alsharm.
The United Caliphates of Shemsiyystan.

The least amount of countries Turth could break into is 3 - Netret (the seaside superregion, agriculture-based), Dwjecity (current capital city) and Homon (the continental superregion, more technology-basef); on the other side we could break into 14 regions, we aren't that far from it after all.

Define 'broke up', as the Empire is already constituted of more than a dozen sovereign nations which are united in fealty, not federalization. The Empire often fragments, usually during interregnums, which see these kingdoms pitted against one another, though this happens regardless of there being an empress or not. At a guess the constitutes of the Empire would pursue their own goals, as they already do.

Due to the current nature of the Order's lands, as well as the generally fairly homogeneous nature of the people of the lands, it is unlikely if any true "nations" would emerge at first. Instead, it is more likely that the individual estates which comprise the order would devolve into petty kingdoms, city states and church lands, only unifying to form larger political entities if it is deemed necessary for their survival.

Countesia would break up into the seven counties that compose the territory of the nation. Although they spent most of their history at war with one another, almost two hundred years of peace has probably simmered any longstanding rivalries.

The most likely to become their own countries are the territories of Ecorria that are predominantly indigenous. In addition, they have representatives with a political say in the nation’s politics, if the majority supported independence from Ecorria, they could do so in a referendum. Though there is also large Aboriginal populations in the states, most of whom have integrated into Ecorrian culture and society. The second most likely to secede are the Spanish states, as they are politically, culturally, and socially different from the rest of Ecorria. In addition, Spanish Ecorrians are a marginalized group in Ecorria. The French states are also likely to secede for similar reasons. Even some English states have a likelihood of seceding, either because they feel distinct from the rest of Ecorria, they feel their culture is overshadowed, or because they feel unfairly represented by the government.

Probably the Republic of Cothon, the State of Barael, and some nation in Garydos, like it was before unification in 1947 (though Garydos joined the Union in 1957)

Though ethnic nationalism is a reactionary impulse, and one which deserves little more than condemnation, its presence throughout heavily multiethnic Eran and Aneran cannot be denied. It is a prominent enough tendency, in fact, that current state policy states that to try to suppress it outright is hopelessly futile, and so though it is considered an ideology in deep error, it is nevertheless tolerated so long as it remains within the realm of mere ideology. Those who are not satisfied with the right to practice their culture and religion unimpeded, speak their native tongue, and fill the coffeehouses of their homelands with idle chatter about the dignity and integrity of their imagined nation, and who instead take up arms in service of their misguided cause, usually end up decried as the violent extremists they are, and have their criminal activity put to an end without more than a token complaint from the moderate majority.

That said, it is without a doubt that, should state authority break down to the point that regions of the country are considering secession, ethnic nationalism would almost certainly make itself known on a much larger scale than at present. It is equally doubtless, then, that most if not all of the Anerani lands would be lost: Kappadokia, the Pontos, Armenia, Georgia, Kassogia, Abkhazia, Aghwania, the many small nations of the northwestern Caucasus, Ashoria, Arabia, and perhaps Sindh. Whether or not any of the Erani lands would similarly leave is less certain: though they have been united for centuries and a pan-Erani identity is deeply rooted in all of them, some groups, among them the Kords, the Baloches, the Pashtuns, and the peoples of Turan, remain distinct in more than just language and regional dress and cuisine. Of course, the most likely scenario for the dissolution of Eran and Aneran is not a natural death and shedding of peripheral ethnicities, but rather by means of a peace treaty ending a war with China for Eurasian hegemony that neither side will truly ever be ready for but which, if it does happen, China will almost certainly win. In that case, virtually any territory could be lost, but Mazandaran, Lorestan, and Khuzestan are most likely of those not yet mentioned.

If such a travesty was to befall our great realm, then it would be without question that the Elector States would be independent first, and tear Earth between competing powers once more. Beyond our most Divine home world, various realms throughout the solar system would also be free of any central authority, and this process would repeat all throughout the Crown Systems. It would be beyond this point, that those who pledge vassalage to the most Holy of Emperors would be released from their oaths, and without any check to their ambitions, turn on each other freely. After them any tributary states will be free from their dues.

All in all, a very dark thought.

All an unholy nationalist nightmare as a lot of these new nations would have conflicts over territorial claims.

That's actually a really difficult and yet interesting question. Having given it some thought on the basis of lore, I think there would be a reversion to the small city-state type of existence that precluded the NCR, so the likes of Shady Sands, The Hub, Vault City, etc would all become totally independent entities again. There may be some differences though, as I'd expect some of the settlements to perhaps pair up on the basis of trade links, so they'd form a small nation between themselves.

Lets just say there are a lot of cultures and ethinicities in Bala Mantre including a group of people that speak old latin so Bala Mantre would more or less become Balkanized

Likely the only nations to appear from the breaking up of Merriwhether would be Myhan'omya, the Eastern mainland, and Kuromya, the Western mainland. There is so little variation in cultural values across the whole of Merriwhether after 1400 years of unity that the notion of separation is absurd. The ancient Merrikushawen and Ykutaashawen identities that once represented the ethnic dichotomy across all of Merriwhether have, over time, so far intermixed and blended as to be mutually indistinguishable. All that would arise from the dissolution of Merriwhether would be two or more smaller Merriwhethers dividing the Islands arbitrarily between themselves, possibly along provincial lines.
