The 63 km2 “Quiet Zone” in Adrar Republic was formerly used as a nuclear testing site during the Cold War. After the fall of the USSR, the site was no longer used as there wasn’t a need for nuclear testing. Now, it’s an exclusion zone that receives almost no radio signals and is infamous for its several disappearances and conspiracy theories about government testing in the zone. The town of Exclude, Adrar Republic is situated on the barrier between the exclusion zone and the rest of Adrar, and is the only town within a 100 km2 radius of the zone, 522km from the nearest city, Ouadane (the capital of Adrar). Several tourists have disappeared while hiking into the zone, despite several warnings by the residents of Exclude telling them to stay away from the zone. Residents of Exclude have also reported strange static noises and faint screams coming from the zone.

Teffland has a culture, where normal people often tell others different stories about anything they can imagine:
Daily life, a fantasy story about the bridge in the park, philosophy or giant magic trees....and often, they do it together,
and enhance other poeple stories. Books written by many, or with feedback by many are quite common in Teffland.
"The most beautiful book II" or "Living with a burden" or the book band "1 million ways to have fun and happiness together" with many game rules and much life advice.

One large group created "The scariest book ever", with feedback from many people:
gravediggers, people with mental or physical disabilities, schizophrenia, "normal people" and so on.
Several authors commited suicide in the writing process but noone of the authors shared the content (only the name of its language). They are all dead.

You CAN read the book,now. It`s hidden with a very special mechanism in a room made by the authors, together with other special things.
The mechanism for the book is revealed in the very moment you lock the room for the rest of your life. You are naked and have nobody except yourself.
You can leave hints, what the book or the environment is about - e.g. on the wall, write, paint with blood or other liquids- you are allowed to lie or to tell, if you are willing to commit suicide. The wall contradicts itself, but the truth lies in it.
You can ring a bell, and have to commit suicide within 2 hours in one of the ways presented - one is overusage of recreational drugs. Or in 2 hours the book does it for you...the writings on the wall say...

On other days, the room is open for the brave, but has several objects like a gallows tree. The dead body does not stay there. During some hours after a suicide, you ARE allowed to see it.

Next to this room is another room, where people are free to express "their inner demon".
The rooms have walls, which can be changed to a new one. And a floor, which covers a large pitfall, can be removed. And sometimes they secretely change the walls, while visitors are in the rooms.

Most people do not know, that there is this book. But that this a creepy place to be. Only chosen visitors learn the truth.
