Monarch Formality Index

Postby Hanoverian Great Britain » Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:18 am

Welcome to the Monarch Formality Index! To begin with a little context, throughout the times, we have seen various monarchs of sovereign of different styles, cultures and tradition. Some, like the former Tsar of Russia, Nicholas II was deeply entrenched in aristocratic + traditionalist values i.e absolute monarchism, despotism, while other examples such as that of the current King of the Netherlands, Willem-Alexander who practices an entirely different approach towards the royalty concept, such as the absence of a formal coronation event (having been replaced instead with a simple investiture event). In addition, the king himself is actively involved in various works in the country.

With the given explanation, this index is designed to reveal whether your sovereign is much closer to that of the Tsar of Russia and the Sultan of Brunei, or to that of the King of the Netherlands and the King of Bhutan. Let's find out!

It is also worth noting the Emperor is both a head of state of a democracy as the president of the confederation, but he is currently the direct ruler over a few states that had traditionally been the core of the Habsburg Monarchy before German unification, including the non-German states like Hungary, Bohemia, Croatia, Transylvania, etc.

It’s not included in the survey, but noteworthy that her majesty’s actual personality tends more towards the informal side, such as in her speech patterns.

VERY CASUAL

Our King is actually an elected position, very similar to a President in other countries. They serve for 13-year terms, and they can have up to two terms. They function as the Head of State, working in trade deals and alliances and visiting other countries and having cultural festivals and just altogether being the face of Middle Barael. The current King is King Solomon, of the Union of Social Democrats party. He is very popular, and has visited many nations in his tenure, including Gandenia, Mowte, Malah, BEKM, Violant (now a Gandenian possession), Rivienland, the Free Lands of the Selkie, AHSCA, Ruinenlust, and Errinunderra.

The TurtleShroomian Crown is regnant- the three Tsars have actual power -so all humanitarian work and charity work go directly through state subsidies to the Church. All public charity and most welfare programs are directly administered by the Church to any resident lawfully present in TurtleShroom. The Tsars are not paid a salary, but are instead paid in food, shelter, and privileges (etc.), so the Christian Tsars do not tithe. They are, privately, known to give offerings and other charity work in secret.

Simply put, the Tsars are not active philanthropists because the Tsars are too busy ruling to actively do charity work. It is not because they don't want to do acts of goodwill! This occupation is the same as any other active head of government of a nation.

Tsarina Tammy Olvia is a widow and she married Grigory Olvia, a hayseed plough boy, when she was sixteen. Their marriage lasted seventy-nine years. Tsar Maven Outtacountry is celibate. Tsar Grigory Wip's species (sapient mushroom, a literal fungus) does not reproduce sexually.

[ ] Nobility with a sizable degree from the common people
[X] Common people with a sizable degree from the nobility

TurtleShroom has always had oligarchs, aristocrats, and business magnates. However, no true institution of actual peerage existed before 2019 AD. The TurtleShroomian nobility is immense and varied, but all noblemen alive today were the sons of commoners.

None of the above. The Grand Duchess was never meant to rule—she was supposed to be married off when she came of age, so she wasn't brought up as a future monarch. There is no aristocracy in the Grand Duchy of Alzatia. Everybody is equal under the monarch.
