Well, Howdy! The Kingdom of Wexas, after hearing one too many jokes about Rams in Ranches, has decided to open up a commission to allow Journalists and others to ask questions about Wexas. All questions asked will be personally answered by King Jerry II himself in a timely manner. Please, ask away!

Edit: Due to shenanigans regarding a lost password, a major retcon of lore, and an extension of the Wexasverse, I will no longer be answering questions as the account Wexas. However, Wejas will be answering any questions regarding Wexas or New Orleans. Meanwhile, Yooper High Kingdom will be answering any questions about Yooper High Kingdom. "Me personally? I've already achieved my end goal, both politically and personally. Wexas is safe, my family is safe, hell I have family unlike some people, and Texas is safe. The world's too chaotic for anything meaningful to happen in just one lifetime. Hell, in my lifetime, I've seen Empires grow and explode like an overfilled water pouch. To consider me alone having an end goal for a nation with millions of people both dead, alive, and yet to be born would be foolish of me. So, I simply wish to pave a path for generations to come and go just as I did and change the world in both little and large ways. And until I kick the bucket and rejoin my Pa up in Bozisvet, I am gonna make life what I make of it."

Still, natural disasters do not tend to happen in this region. It often baffles me that some Atlanzian [Gaian word for American] states are so frequently hit by natural disasters. So how do you prepare for chances of wildfires, cyclones, hurricanes and all these things, as well as what you would do after each disaster when it hits your territories?"

"Well, the most common disaster 'round these parts are wildfires surprisingly. They're especially bad because of the peat adding further fuel to the fire. We can't really do much to prevent fires, other than telling people to make sure their fires are put out, but every village near the fire is expected to put out a fire using whatever water they got as... well, if a fire goes out of control, then everyone's screwed. As for hurricanes, along the coast, we have stilted homes and walls to prevent flooding. However, our best guess is using animals and the environment to tell if one's coming. Seagulls like to hide in the eyes of storms during hurricanes, dogs seem to go mad, high winds often accompany hurricanes, etc. So by judging by the patterns of animals and weather, we can normally make a good guess if one's coming. Regardless of how powerful it really is, it is expected that people evacuate if they're really close to the coast or take shelter in pre-event buildings otherwise. Post-disaster relief is pretty simple. Being an act of the Gods, most likely Haarp, victims of the disaster are given enough coins to live off of until they're settled down again. Depending on what kind of disaster it was and how many were affected, we often hold a ritual for the fallen and the hurt, where those affected by the disaster are often given even more relief. Really though, the best we can do before, during, and after is pray. I don't mean that in a religious sense, I just mean that even with our best efforts, a lot of the time things just... happen, you know?"

"Well, it really depends on the situation, but my weapon of choice would have to be my trusty crossbow. It's small, but its strings are made in such a way it can pierce steel. It helps that, well, we have a tradition of asymmetrical warfare, so the crossbow and spear are both signature weapons down here. As for leadership, it depends on the situation. Normally, I am apart of the cavalry, with my fellow men charging into battle and harassing the enemy. However, during sieges, the terrain is too harsh for cavalry attacks. So, I can find myself among the chaos of the besieging force. That's not to say I am some hero deserving of praise though. I do get my hands dirty, but losing them out of bravado or 'honor' is something I haven't done."

"Ah... Public health and hygiene. You can imagine that those are rather poor, even for nobility such as myself. We're not totally primitive, we realize leaches don't work unlike some realms, but otherwise, public health is rather poor. The swamps and wetlands help, surprisingly. They make isolating villages much easier if there's an outbreak and they're filled with critters that eat disease harboring creatures like mosquitoes. As for hygiene, well, it's not uncommon for people to be covered with mud, swamp water, or... well, I will let the imagination run wild with that. It's not too terrible though, don't imagine think of us as covered in head-to-toe in mud 24/7, it's just we sometimes gotta get dirty... great, now I am conscious about how much dirt is on my pants.

As for biscuits, they’re just a kind of bread. Nothing too special about them, it’s just they go really good with butter or gravy."
