Major Power Outage in Danlina The coastal city of Rajabo, Danlina, famous for its tourist attraction and infamous for its high-security women's prison, is going through a municipality-wide power outage after a general failure of all powerplant activity in the municipality. Along with the power failure, there has also been a failure in cordless communication methods such as cellphone and WiFi, and whether it is caused by the power failure is yet unknown.
Some experts claim that this might be the result of a large-scale cyber attack, and if it's true then it is the largest cyber attack in the history of Danlina.
More at information will be known soon, for now, our hearts are with those affected by the outage.

Pride parade in Danavev last year, 2020 (photography: Jaro Višenski) Danlina Prepares Its PrideIt is June once again, and Danlina is preparing for another round of pride parades all across the country to celebrate it being one of the most accepting countries in Drejveška to members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The Danavev Police Department has given the go for this year's pride parade to be held as usual, and this is great news for the bussling city that each year holds a record-breaking parade.
Danavev city hall is expecting to again host the largest pride parade in continental Drejveška, a title it has held since the '00s, and we are all waiting to see how it will outdo itself since last year's giant-sized pride flag. The impressive flag, measuring 93 square meters in total, is the third largest free-flying pride flag in the world.
Other pride parades will be held this June in the capital of Paralemville, and in the cities of Dašenko, Napregrud, and Rajabo (that was postponed to a currently uncertain date as a result of the recent blackout).
Update On The Rajabo Blackout & Prison BreakKaterin Rozen as minister of foreign affairs, 2018
(photography: MoFA)
A few days ago we have reported about the total blackout in the Rajabo municipal area, and since then it has been reported that during the blackout a prisoner has escaped the Rajabo prison, or as it is known officially Koppšan women's prison.
It has been confirmed by a trusted source (that will remain anonymous) that the inmate in question is Katerin Rozen, former Danlinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and convicted spy. Rozen (45) was convicted for operating a private espionage agency known as the "Wright Administration" in 2019 after denying the allegations time and again, including in a press conference in Danavev attended by the international press. She was sentenced to 35 years in prison for treason, abuse of power, and several counts of illicit trading in arms. It has also been confirmed by our source that the blackout was a result of a large-scale cyber attack.
It is uncertain how Rozen escaped the prison, and who was responsible for the cyber attack on the Rajabo municipality's power grid. Our access to reliable information is limited as a result of the PIC curtain covering the case, but stay tuned for updates to come.

Pride Celebrations Begin In DanavevMayor Luko Šamačinko of Danavev City, leaning on one of the many street poles
colored with the colors of pride (photography: Janá Kovačički) The month of June opened with a roaring celebration of pride all across Danlina, all in anticipation for what is proven time and time again to be the peak of Danlinian Pride: the pride celebrations and parade in Danavev city. Mayor Luko Šamačinko, who has proven to be very popular upon his reelection into office, has spent the month of June decorating the city for the celebrations: every single street pole has been painted with the colors of the rainbow, every second pole waves the rainbow flag, and city hall has been painted with the colors of the rainbow, making the city into an astonishingly colorful sight to behold.
On the criticisms he has received from Christian fundamentalist organizations, Šamačinko said: "They say, 'You are encouraging young people to be homosexuals', but I say that the ignorance is all theirs. The public has reelected a liberal mayor, then the public will receive a pride parade".
The events of pride will start on Friday, June 18th, with a large event at the city center in front of city hall, that will include once-in-a-lifetime performances from well-known Danlinian LGBT artists such as Ron Danišički, Doná Belá, and the band Mouse Romance. The events will take place over the weekend, with a hiatus on Sunday, before resuming with the schedule until the long waited for Danavev Pride Parade on Friday, June 25th. The theme and main attraction of this year's parade are probably the most well-kept secret in Danavev City Hall, as to whether or not they will be able to outdo their record-breaking parade from last year is a question that is still left unanswered.
Our very own youth reporter, Aleks Rokocinski, will be present during all of the Danevev events starting tomorrow evening, and will closely follow every noteworthy event for updates, so make sure to stay tuned on the SM Novos app!

GDU conference comes to an end
After a week of intense deliberation between Greater Drejveskan Union members and their contemporaries at camp Krešimir, GDU Headquarters, a consensus was made on matters that were considered a priority. One of the first issues discussed was the implementation of a common caliber(5.45x39 mm) for nations within the GDU. The reasoning behind this was to ease logistical constraints on military forces, streamline production, and create an abundance of the caliber for future operations and defensive actions. Acceptance of the round was almost universal, however, Moravská denied accepting the round along with the nation of Moslanka and Korya. Moravská and Moslanka cited their favorable views of their current round(7.62x39 mm) and did not wish to proceed with acceptance. Korya denied the caliber as the nation of JVP was providing Korya with its current caliber, 5.56x45 mm. Novajinnsk, invited to promote better relations with the GDU, did not wish to accept the caliber as they saw their caliber (5.56x45 mm) as superior. GDU officials allotted time for Novajinnsk representatives to put forth an argument as to why their caliber should have been accepted universally. Despite the efforts of Novajinnsk representatives, adoption of the 5.56x45 mm caliber did not proceed and the conference continued onto the next matter which was the hot topic of Novajinnsk. The Federation of Novajinnsk has been a thorn in the GDU's side, however, the same could be said about the GDU to Novajinnsk. Both hold different views regarding national sovereignty. Both have clashed on the matter only a few years prior, which led to a stalemate and a shaky peace agreement. Needless to say, the topic was heated as it pertained to the matter of Moslanka, a recent breakaway nation from the powerful federation. Novajinnsk argued that Moslanka was the rightful territory of the federation and demanded that it be re-annexed. The GDU opposed this idea due to the organization citing that the nation of Moslanka was a sovereign nation prior to its annexation by the Federation therefore had the right to leave. Novajinnsk did not find this response to their liking and wished to see the GDU backdown from their guarantee of independence for Moslanka, the GDU whole heartedly denied the Novajinnsk offer. It was at this point that Novajinnsk representatives protested the conference before leaving the building and the island in its entirety. Following the Novajinnsk representatives protest, GDU members agreed to proceed to the next matter regarding the threat to the west, the Shogunate of Furusawa. The silence of the Shogunate has left many wondering what the current heir, Furusawa Nishi, is planning for the future. Nevertheless, Furusawan forces have been beefing up their presence along the Novan, Ethranan, Rhamosian, and Prevsuznjan borders. Military structures have been appearing overnight along with defensive emplacements. Vivztem representative, Operational Commander Andrey Yarrow, put forth the idea for a joint GDU corps to combat the potential Furusawan threat. Representative Lechau argued that in order to be prepared for a potential Furusawan invasion the GDU must fully understand the tactics and inner workings of the Shogunate’s military. This joint GDU corps would be used in a first response to an Furusawan invasion. After Operational Commander Andrey Yarrow’s argument for the Joint Corps, a vote was held by GDU representatives. Moslanka, Genovika, Ruzdija, and Moravská voted no on the joint corps, however, the reasoning behind the “No” vote differed from nation to nation. Moslanka only wished to remain neutral whilst Moravská , Genovika, and Ruzdija saw their troops usefulness implemented on a threat that was closer to home, Novajinnsk. Despite the opposition the GDU joint corps idea passed. The final topic that was up for discussion at the GDU conference was Danlian representatives discussing the matter of stopping future oil spills like which had occurred off the Danlinan coast. Danlian representatives wished to create a pooled fund from member nations as an insurance measure if similar oil spills were to occur in GDU waters. Trekkish representative, Vesna Kováčová, agreed and reasoned that strengthening GDU regulations on oil wells will help curb the problem as well. The matter was voted on and was passed by member nations before the conference was concluded.

Vodnjar oil well off the coast of Danlina, where the oil spill had happened May 2019 Danlinian Oil Well Safety Bill Passes GDU VoteTwo days ago (Sunday) the GDU finished its summit in Camp Krešimir, where it discussed the Danlinian oil spill that occurred in May 2019, and how to avoid and respond to such incidents in the future. The Danlinian delegation to the summit introduced a draft resolution for a fund pooled from GDU member nations, for properly responding to such incidents. The Trekkish delegation supported the draft, and introduced its amendment to include GDU-wide safety regulations on oil wells. Once the Danlinian delegation accepted the Trekkish amendment to their draft, the two delegations introduced it to the voting floor as the Oil Well Safety Bill which passed with a clear majority.
While environmentalists all across Danlina are celebrating this small victory, some conservative politicians have managed to already voice their distaste for the bill.
Gregorj Hitrov, of the Danlinian National Party, tweeted: "This bill is a disaster to Danlina's main source of income. With the tight regulations introduced by Treko, our efficiency will be greatly reduced".
Meanwhile, outside of Danlina environmentalists are congratulating the nation on its step towards the right path. Environmentalist politician Aliná Cangušo, of Parentell's Green Party, tweeted: "Congratulations to Danlina and the GDU on the new bill. While the Danlinian people have always been sympathetic to the environmental cause, it seemed that their government was lacking the same ambition, but clearly, I've been wrong. This is a great step towards a greener Danlina and hopefully next will be a greener Parentell".

Mouse Romance New Album Release Press PartyYesterday, NovkoFal Records held a press party for the release of famous Dašenko-based alternate rock band Mouse Romance's new album, titled "Cheers To The Living, And Cheers To Our Friends" (original title in Parenese: "Do Zdrvje Živejov, I Do Zdrvje Naš Prijtlov"). The party included a warmup band who gave us a throwback to Mouse Romance's early discography with covers of their two first albums, their first self-titled album, and their second album "Thrice Hallelujah!" ("Trikrut Halelujá!"). After this comforting blast from the past, with a little twist from the local band's style, the hosts of the party finally went on stage and put on a full performance of their yet unreleased album, but not before paying tribute to Vladj Jordnski, the band's legendary former drummer, who died while recording the album.
Following the unconventional album unveiling ceremony, which was more akin to a press-only concert rather than the press party that we were convinced it will be, the band's lead singer and songwriter Gregorj Način lead the line of questions and answers asked by the reporters present. Our Arts & Music reporter, Aleksá Kolkočevski, managed to ask Gregorj a few questions.
How was the recording process for you and the rest of the band? When we started recording in 2018, I knew that this process will be great and enlightening, but I could've never guessed exactly how enlightening it will actually end up being. There were many hurdles along the way, but I feel like we managed to create something real here. How did Vladj's death affect the band members and the recording process?Well obviously it completely derailed and delayed the process, as we all fell into immeasurable grief. Vladj was with us from the beginning, and he will stay with us until the end. I think that Alj (the band's bassist and youngest member)
was hit the hardest by the grief, as they were very close, and as a fellow Christian and close friend of Vladj's family he took the longest time to let himself grieve in peace. How did you decide on the new drummer, Jakob Vinočov, and how is his chemistry with the band?We knew Jaki for a long time before Vladj passed away, he even features in our song All The Way ("Vcé Pat")
as second drummer, and many of our fans were theorizing and debating whether there was a second drummer or if Vladj is just that good. Anyway, when we got back to the recording process, we reached out to Jaki as we all thought he was the best option and who Vladj would've wanted to continue his legacy.NovkoFal Records have stated that the album will be available in record stores across Drejveška and on iTunes and Spotify starting Saturday, and that there are plans for a Mouse Romance Drejveškan tour during the fall.

As the Sevevillian begins to transfer the occupation of September Island to Tyrian hands. The new caretaker mandate has sent out an invitation to the international community to invest in September Island as the Tyrian mandate begins to create a local government on September Island. Ever since the Sevevillian occupation of September Island, the inhabitants have had no representation within the occupation government till now. Will the Tyrian mandate be different from the previous Sevevillian occupation government? Or will they follow their predecessor and rule September Island with an iron fist? The future of September Island is now in Tyrias hands.

We'll the matter of September Island, is an issue in another Region. Inkling of this matter turning into a larger conflict, has been the talk of some of the High Queens Advisors.
High Queen Vivi has called for cooler heads, and for Tyria, once the transfer has been completed, to enter into talks with the KP about the future of the island.
She had also offered aid in the rebuilding of the island, under the Tyrian September Island Rebuilding Program.

Sefano Kulučinki, COO of the newly formed Markionian division of Vokšassj Trade, greeted by Henar Esh’tenen, Tyrian Steward to the September Islands Vokšassj Trade Co. Reaches MarkionWith Tyria's recent purchase of the September Islands in Markion, many companies from Wendler have started investing in the islands, a notable one being Vokšassj Trade Co.. Although the company has a great presence in Wendler, and in Drejveška specifically, it has yet to expand its business ventures into Markion, but yesterday this changed. With the quick development of September Island infrastructure by Tyria and other foreign investors, this patch of sea is a perfect venture for Vokšassj to prop up their risky Markionian division. Alongside setting up headquarters in the islands, Vokšassj has also invested in the local governorship and ports. With all these factors, and the cultural comradery between the Telroian company and the Tyrian governorship, it seems that this will not be the last we hear of the new division.

JUDEAN FIGHTER AIRCRAFT INTERCEPT AND ESCORT KANADORIKAN BOMBERS
A Judean jet fighter can be seen escorting Kanadorikan bombers in this photo released by the Judean Ministry of Defense
2021 June 28, 2021 Following a routine flight and approach towards Judean airspace, Kanadorikan bombers were greeted with Judean fighter jets that were scrambled to intercept the aircraft. The bombers, several nuclear capable ÞSB-550 Annihilators, were escorted away from Judean airspace without incident. The event occurred just several months after a flair in tensions between the Judean government and Jouf, the latter of which accused the Judean Front for the Liberation of the East Bank of shooting down a drone. The move resulted in the deployment of Khawsian troops to Judea as well as a Kanadorikan floatilla being sent off the coast. Nevertheless, as the months crept on the extra security in the region was withdrawn as tensions died down.
Kanadorika and Judea have had historically bad relations, the height of which occurred during the Judean War when the sinking of a Kanadorikan vessel prompted an invasion of Judea. Since then however the two nations have for the most part kept a sense mutual mistrust and flexed their military might via shows of force.

Treko off Track
The Kingdom of Rhamos has issued a formal diplomatic protest to the nations of Treko and Vivtzem for the theft off the kingdom’s intellectual property as well as the unlawful distribution of Rhamosian military hardware.
The kingdom was made aware of this illegal transaction through a multitude of intelligence sources that have since been thoroughly vetted and corroborated. Though many have since suspect it was only actually brought to the kingdoms attention when photos and videos began to appear online from noted military enthusiast and conspiracy theorist reacting to the vehicle’s sudden appearance in Vivtzem.
The Kingdom as formally asked Treko to cease all transfers of equipment and support to Vivtzem, pay for the lost revenue and the export licensing rights to the vehicle, and finally agree to consult with the kingdom before any future transfers of Rhamosian based equipment or technology are undertaken.
Concurrent with this protest; all contractors, support personnel, training staff have been ordered to cease working with Treko until the situation is resolved. Furthermore all vehicle spares, equipment, replacement parts, machining parts, as well as any equipment or technology being transferred for the production of all Rhamosian based equipment currently being inducted into the Trekonese military has also been haulted until such time as the government agrees to cooperate.
Observers are already speculating that the Kingdom intends to bring both a civil suit in the GDU courts as well as a international case against Treko depending on Czarinas reaction.

The Television screeched alive with electricity as the ear piercing screaming of the speakers seemed to nearly burst with the intro to the news. The aforementioned intro was a spectacle of colors and text that flashed and disappeared nearly as soon as it came on. What little you were able to infer from the terribly designed and edited intro is that this is of the Greater Uryeĺpasadka News Network. Fortunately the intro came to an end and there sat a woman of darker complexion, though still of obvious mixed Eurasian origin. She wore all black and she sat alone at a counter, behind her was a green screen. She appeared to be rather distraught and under a great deal of stress. After but only two whole seconds of silence she stared directly into the camera with her brown eyes. “Our nation has suffered a great catastrophe. Six hours ago four men crossed our border with the Second Republic of Parentell and proceeded to assault a Tseleyan village before slipping back into the night. A total of twenty three persons have been accounted for dead, including three children and one of our own. Reporter Gustaf Zagorc, aged thirty five, was shot dead in this horrific tragedy. In memory of him and the other victims this post midnight news segment will be concluded with swiftness and a previously unreleased segment of Gustaf’s report on last June’s pride parades.”
The feed then cut to present a man in his late forties, in the black dress uniform of the Ground Forces. He stood behind a podium of mahogany wood, standing on top of an arranged platform that had at one time been used to present a poem for the village’s fair. His grey hair was covered by a black beret with a green star in the middle, denoting him as a member of the Border Corps. Audio wise murmuring could be heard in full volume, presumably from those in the crowd and also those who were operating the cameras. A caption on the bottom half of the screen read, Commander Rotar giving a statement on the Vastulka Shooting. The older Officer of the Corp took in a deep breath before speaking into the microphone of which was situated on the podium. “It is with great sadness that I must confirm the casualties of this attack and what we have deduced to be the timeline of events. At approximately one hour after sundown four gunmen crossed the border with Parentell unnoticed. They then proceeded to hike their way here for the next hour and a half, then soon arriving on the outskirts of the village. As they approached they opened fire at locals with automatic weapons and hand held improvised explosives devices. For the next twenty minutes they killed a total of twenty three people and wounded sixty others, some of whom were children. After their cowardly attack on this community they withdrew the way they came. One kilometer away from the border they were intercepted by a squad of Pickets from the Border Corp’s local detachment. In the ensuing firefight three out of the four assailants were shot dead by the pickets with one fleeing after the first shot, most definitely across the Parentelli Border. I have come here personally from my headquarters in the Southern Military District in order to affirm two things, the first being an increased presence of the Ground Forces on the Border to ensure nothing like this can ever happen again. The second being the trial of five Pickets in the failure of their duty. For they were under the influence of abusive substances while on duty last night. I can assure you that they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for their gross incompetence for this miscarriage of duty. I will make sure that this behavior dies here under my newly appointed command. Not one more miscreant will sneak across to hurt us once again. At noon I will be taking questions from the press and citizens alike here again.”
The Commander walked off stage and the turned to black, but only for a momentary second as it then went to a display of a picket sitting on top of a armored fighting vehicle, his feet hanging off the sides as momentum and gravity led to the heel of his boots repeatedly slamming against the side of the armored vehicle in a rhythmic pace. The picket was in his oversuit, it’s baggy nature held back at some junctions by its integrated generation three knee and elbow pad systems. His non molle AVS derivative anchored and hugged his body as his high cut helmet sat on the AFV’s armored hull, to his immediate right. The AFV itself had a large cannon and a remote controlled coaxial machine gun. The vehicle model came under the designation of the Type 21 light tank, a rather mythical and perplexing vehicle that had been rather sparse to see until the week prior due to its initial secrecy in the Bojevik Modernization Program. Derived from a Rhamosian Tank Destroyer design it’s trekkish steel hull was painted in trangingular splinter style white and green camouflage pattern, contrasting with the solid cover uniform of the picket and his blackish grey toned rifle. The rifle itself was too an anomaly within the non discord units of the Ground Forces. It looked almost exactly like the Danlianian designed MAP-16, except that the magazine inserted in it appeared to be a 5.45 version of the American STANAG. It’s barrel was only 11 inches in length and it’s stock was folded, leading to it being compact enough to be issued to this young picket. The aforementioned picket’s ear protection was sleeved down at the base of his neck, it’s wire running down the back of his carrier to the radio that laid in a magazine pouch on the carrierMs back, this ad hoc set up remained out of sight. The picket looked to be of more lesser Paranese origins than your typical resident of Vivtzem. This was explained due to the black armband that was tightened against his left sleeve, this simple piece of cloth represented him as a foreign volunteer who came to Vivtzem to join the Armed Services of the Great Experiment. After a second of being on screen a woman’s voice from behind the camera came to your ears “Is that really necessary?” The reporter asked in a skeptical tone. The picket seem confused for a few seconds before realizing that the reporter was referring to the Type 21. “Oh.” The picket said to himself before letting out a chuckle. “I am not really in a position to question the potential use of force against trespassers. If it takes a one hundred and twenty millimeter high explosive shell to protect these communities then I will gladly crew this vehicle.” There was a silence of agreement that engulfed the area for a few seconds until the reporter continued “Are you excited about this assignment?” The picket nodded his head “It’s about everything I could have wanted for an assignment when I volunteered: Community and a good chance to see the world.I just hope I can move myself up to a actual tank during Discord qualifications.” Despite not being able to see the woman behind the camera, an aura of confusion overcame the film crew. “Seeing the world? In the Defense Forces?” The picket remained firm on his stance, choosing to elaborate after seeing their confusion. “After (the) 2019 (War) I came to realize that peace on this continent is temporary; it’s only a matter of time before it hits, so after my brother joined the Danlianan Navy I decided I should join a force I can actually agree with.” The news crew, seeking to get out of this ominous message, decided to end it “Thank you for your service and your time.” she said, ending the interview and cutting the feed to the ending scene of our story.
The screen then displayed the aforementioned unreleased segment of Gustaf on the pride events in Danlina, as it was his last bit of coverage with the news cooperative. The camera was pointed at the sky, it was a beautiful day, the sky was as blue as the waters of the Danlé with not a single cloud in sight. Fireworks on the periphery of the screen added a great deal of color and vibrancy to the afternoon’s blue monopoly. The crack of the fireworks was another layer of audio pollution to the layer cake, the second layer was in fact the distant and close in music from the parade, both professional and some improvised as the people singing in adhoc melodies bleed through to the near peak top of the pyramid. The final layer was of course the human murmuring to and from each other, the natural conversation of friends and strangers alike, the cheering and yelling of the excited attendees. The camera panned down slowly to eye level, focusing on the reporter in question, of whom this segment was morbidly dedicated to. There was a visible smile on his face. His green eyes complementing well with his fair complexion. His hair was combed back in the same reserved manner of which he held his head up high as he gazed at the daytime fireworks and rainbow colored balloons that dotted the air. After a few long seconds of admiring the beauty he lowered his gaze to face the camera, at last he spoke in a kind and welcoming tone of voice slightly raised so that the microphone can actually pick him up from all the noises of celebration and jerring of the parade “Hello and welcome to a Greater Uryeĺpasadka News Network exclusive, I am your host Gustaf Zagorc; today we are in the heart of the continent’s biggest and perhaps most important pride parade! For the past decade Danlia has held the record for the biggest pride parade in Drevjeska! Vivtzem of course has been trying to catch up but unfortunately it doesn’t seem like we made it this year. Being the good sports we are, we have come to get the insights and experience of those in the Lesser Parens.” He then walked a couple feet to his own left hand side, revealing a row of three people that Gustaf had selected for this interview. Gustaf turned towards them and held out a handheld microphone towards the nearest, a caption appeared on the bottom half of the screen reading, Lizá Hanacurov: Event Organizer. Lizá was wearing light blue tight jeans, with a rainbow colored strip going down the middle from the seams of the belt loops. In addition to this she wore a rainbow crop top that was arranged horizontally in their rows in contrast with the stripes on the pants. She was adorned with heavy makeup, masquerading natural blemishes alongside her cherry red lipstick. From the angle that the camera was positioned in it seemed that she was matched in height with Gustaf. Gustaf then proposed a query to everyone in the line “What brings you to this year’s pride parade?” Due to the camera and microphone being directed at Lizá first and foremost it was only common sense that she answer first, and that is what she indeed did "Well, of course that I'm here as part of the organizing staff, but it is also very important and exciting for me to be here to celebrate our pride. Danlina is the most accepting country in Drejveška and, like, I believe we should all be celebrating it" Gustaf nodded his head in agreement before taking a few steps and directing his microphone over to the next person on the chopping block, the camera proceeding to as well. An excited and tall teen no older than seventeen years of age was presented to the viewer. A caption appeared on the bottom half of the screen, coming out to: Aleks Rokocinski. He had brown eyes and curly hair of the same color, additionally reading glasses adorned his natural optical organs and the bridge of his nose. He was wearing a flannel shirt alongside torn jean shorts. The aforementioned shirt originated from the popular clothing brand of Bershka, the pants originating from a local thrift store in the city. Gustaf, with a smile on his face inquired “How about you, little gay boy?” He threw himself into the question, stating “Me? I'm here for the performance by Mouse Romance tonight!" The young lad stopped for a single second so he could have the pleasure and opportunity to laugh at his own joke. His natural resting face of happiness returned as he responded with his actual answer "...I'm here to cover the pride events for my column on SM News, and of course I'm so excited to interview all the amazing artists who will be performing tonight" A large grin molded itself on Gustaf’s face as he admired the enthusiasm of the youth of the Lesser Paren states. With a sharp turn on his heels he turned the final, the third and final person in the interview row, not actually moving but rather just extending the microphone further with the reach of his hand. The same introductory caption returned to display her name: Mirija Kolokova. This interviewee was a young woman that seemed to be around the age of twenty two. She was certainly a good deal shorter than gustaf. Her verticality was accompanied by her shirt black hair. She had several metal piercings on her nose, ears, and the brows of her eyes. Her apparel was a H&M brand generic black t-shirt, her pants being slim fitting Levi jeans. She had a long black bag hanging off her shoulder containing several dozen pounds of recording equipment. Mirija responded in a rather exhausted tone after having to make sure Aleks doesn’t get in trouble “As you can see..." She stated as she raised up her camera "...I'm here to take photos of the performers and of mayor Šamačinko, for Aleks's column" Gustaf gave no visible signs of affirmation before immediately coming with a follow up question, starting with her “Are you apart of the LGBTQ+ spectrum?” He asked with a hint of genuine curiosity in his voice, despite already having an idea of the answer. “As lesbian as it gets dude?” She said in a reserved voice as the camera and the microphone quickly moved over to Aleks “Yep! I am bisexual.” Aleks exclaimed, emionatting with joy and the hopeful happiness of youth. Gustaf brought back the attention to Lizá “Yes, I am a trans woman.” With the conclusion of the second question Gustaf immediately brought a third, going off his internal script “How long have you been participating in these annual festivities?” He inquired as Lizá picked up from the last question, taking control “I've been going to parades since I was 19, so that makes it what, seven years ago? Yes, my first parade was in 2014, so that makes it seven years" In following a half counter clockwise motion Gustaf and the camera moved back to Aleks “My first pride parade was in 2019, so this is my third year" In quick succession the interview moved into the rhythm, reaching to Mirija "I've been doing pride since 2018 if I remember correctly, so four years" Gustaf nodded his head, half speaking to himself “Many years, many years. . .” In a shift of tone he then asked “Do you feel safe?” A few seconds of silence passed before Mirija answered “Of course I feel safe, I live in Danavev, but I am originally from Skarjavo down south where my family didn't at all approve of me being lesbian. There, in the deep country, it's nothing alike here in Danavev" Aleks then answered with barely a second passing “In Danavev? Of course. But I know that this isn't the case for other places in Danlina. I've heard of threats from homophobes who wanted to attack the parade in Skarjavo, and that they had to cancel after a police assessment of the threats" At last there was Lizá
"Well, in Danavev I feel safe, that's for sure, but this isn't true for everywhere in Danlina. We are fortunate to have cities like Danavev and Paralemville where the community can be present without being threatened, but for example in my hometown of Dašenko the situation is very different" Wanting to waste no time Gustaf shot off another question, practically itching to ask this one “Do you feel a sense of pride for your nation being the one to host the largest pride events on the continent?” Lizá of course responded “Of course I am! But the largest source of pride about this isn’t the mere fact we have the biggest parade in the continent, but that we act as a beacon of hope for lgbt youth all around the world. Ever since the GDU Free Visa Agreements, I’ve met youth from countries like Telroi, Treko and Slaveška who come to Danavev on their own to feel what it’s like to celebrate pride. And it’s not just from the GDU too, I’ve met such kids from Japan, Russia, India, and even Hungary!” Aleks, next up, said “Absolutely. I consider myself a patriot, and this is a huge source of pride for me” Mirijá took a few seconds of contemplation before answering “Yes, absolutely yes. But it’s still important to remember that even with the legalization of our right to be ourselves, there’s still a long way ahead of us to fix the social issues of day-to-day homophobia, that can’t be fixed with simple legislation” There was only one question left “What are your thoughts on the progress of lgbt rights and acceptance in the Lesser Parens?” Gustaf asked in the same tone as all the other questions, not bothering to ask their opinion on the Danlinan perspective on the acceptance of LGBT community of Vivtzem, as of course Vivtzem was the most accepting without question (at least in his mind). Liza responded, “Assuming you mean the other Parenese nations, I have very mixed feelings. On one hand, you can clearly see the advancements that are being made, with LGBT couples given the right to marry in Parentell and homosexual relations no longer being illegal in Telroi, but on the other hand they have a long way to go as a society. It is still dangerous for homosexual couples to walk in the streets, as harassment is still a big part of their reality, and Telroi's plague of police brutality hasn't skipped the community. Hopefully, we can see more progress in the future" Aleks poured his heart out, stating “Oh, I think the situation is horrible. A gay couple can't go in the streets of Hefaki (Parentell) or Kapernov (Telroi) without being called Pidari Klabaci ("Gay Sausages", used in the same vein as "f@ggots"). The legislative development in LGBT rights may be impressive, but it clearly does not take care of the real problem" Mirija visibly cringe at the question “First of all, if you can not call it "The Lesser Parens" it would be great, it's pretty weird to use this term in these parts. Maybe not in Vivtzem, but in here yeah. And to your question, I think the advancements in LGBT rights in Parentell are great. I have family and friends there who can finally celebrate and accept who they are. But Telori, that's something else. In Telroi, we LGBT folk are shunned, suppressed. Maybe gay sex isn't illegal anymore, but it sure as hell ain't accepted" The camera then returned to center on Gustaf as he exclaimed “Thank you all for your time and your most wonderful answers!” Gustaf turned over to face the camera, his heels clapping against the concrete “And here ends our most delightful Pride Month Special of Twenty Twenty One, remember to share with all your friends on the social medias!” The television then collapsed to black as you turn it off with a simple pressing of a button.
