Is yn a unitary or federation? If fed how does it work?

[Ninhundland]

Ninhundand is a federation (think like the EU but more united) with the regional goverments of the country having their own government that take care of a lot of the their own affairs. Education, roads, etc are all done by the regional governments. The regions are based on historical entities that predate the unifaction of Ninhundland as well as culural lines with some of the regions having their own language that isn't Ninhundish. Ninhundish is the sole official language and any region that has another language is officially bilingual kinda like Catalonia.

More unitary than federal? Provincial rights are subject to national laws, and nobody in the nation really cares about it.

Unitary, all laws are passed and all taxes collected by central government.

Federal, as provinces are allowed to create their own taxes and laws (although they are subject to government intervention if the decisions are too radical), but the government itself is representative, so it's federally unitarily federal I guess.

Unitary. The Grand Council is responsible for governance of the entire nation. The conversation of establishing local councils has been happening in Shoalhaven for a few years now, so it may change in the future. Although, it would probably still remain unitary with the local councils obtaining limited deligated responsibility.

We're a unitary nation. Ieskarios believes that a federal system is unnecessary for its day to day functions.

The Democratic Republic is a unitary state where any powers and authorities that the administrative divisions have are delegated by the central government and can be revoked at any time.

It’s more unitary than federal. though it’s divided into three major divisions (Metro Andocara, East Andocara, and Vanctoria), most of the population lives in Metro Andocara.

The Empire as a whole has a federal structure (hence the use of the term Imperial Federation), consisting of a number of federate states collectively subject to the authority of the Imperial crown. Individual states can have highly variable structures, but are generally unitary.

[The Greater Gothic Empire]

As stated, the Greater Gothic Empire is fundamentally a unitary state with maximum-zero respect for autonomous divisions and seceding polities, whether it is an enclave or not, whether open or concealed.

The Emperors/Empresses and Most Serene Pantocrators/Pantocratrixes over All Greater Gothica alone has complete, limitless, unrestrained, unrestricted and unquestioned universal absolute power over the entire nation, and the world as a whole. No administrative unit, under pain of severe punishment, should ever secede from the Empire. While a federal system is incompatible in securing national unification, the Emperors/Empresses insisted on the use of numerous institutions, the Imperial Government included, to secure the homogeneity of the Gothic nation-state, of course with the assistance of the aristocracy, the military and numerous secret police networks and institutions. In the distant future where internal dissent is far too impossible to begin with, autonomous enclaves are already deemed non-existent, and therefore subject to instant dissolution by the Emperors/Empresses themselves and the Imperial Government, and afterwards forced direct annexation.

Swindenland is a federal republic. Each state can pass its own laws, provides its own aocial services and takes care of its finances. States can also collectively propose a law or veto the Federal Parliament.

[Habsburger Austria]

Austria is a federal constitutional monarchy consisting of nine states. Each of these states has its own elected legislature, state government, and governor. The states are responsible for regulating internal zoning, hunting, fishing, farming, as well as some degree of public health and welfare.

[The Union of British North America]

The North American Union is a federation, consisting of 51 provinces and 5 indigenous federalized protectorates. The latter are bound and integrated into the Union more by treaties with the general government while the former are tied into the Union by the Crown as well as the hybrid constitution of the Union.

The provinces and IFPs are quite autonomous and have quite a bit of power to set their own domestic agendas. They can even reject general laws that touch upon property rights. They can also refuse to implement conscription when the general government requests it (and in fact for general usage of provincial forces for any reason).

Provincial constitutions reflect the Westminster style of parliamentary governance that the general government and the rest of the United British Commonwealth of Nations uses. Indigenous protectorates are also democratic if slightly different from Westminster parliamentarism.

Lubiar is a unitary state, although its trade zones enjoy a large degree of autonomy.

The Radiatian Federation is a federation (hint's sort of in the name there), comprising of 45 republics and states with their own internal governments, laws and in many cases languages as well as a federal government.

All states will have a Premier as head of state, but many states have different internal systems and may have a First Minister or other head of government. For example, the state of Radia is internally a Parliamentary Republic with the Premier holding a mostly ceremonial role while the First Minister is the real power. By contrast, the state of Alayenia mimics the federal government in having a powerful state Premier and a bicameral legislature.

(Let's also never forget the state of Luntzbusch who were supposed to have a unicameral Parliament but thanks to a spelling mistake in the state constitution have a "unicamel" Parliament meaning that the state legislature always has one camel, but only one, at all official proceedings.)

States cannot have their own foreign or trade policies, but many will have their own immigration policies and all have their own state defence forces (who are actually used only for law enforcement). It's also still common for there to be a passport control at state borders - by law Radiatian citizens have freedom of movement in all states, but foreigners frequently need to apply for visas to visit each individual state depending on the leniency of said state toward foreign travellers.

[European Federation Reunified]

Born out of the former European Union, the European Federation includes most of the states that were once members of the Union (especially those with a stronger economy). In order to have greater administrative capacity and and for cultural reasons, some states have in turn been divided into smaller territories. Each of them is run by a governor who administers it locally.
Defense and Foreign Affairs (including trade) are instead the responsibility of the federal government, led by the President himself.

The Republic is a unitary state, however we do have a few autonomous regions and departments that are special, usually because they are not part of metropolitan Europe or have significant ethnic minorities. Like Brittany, Alsace-Lorraine, Corsica, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Polynesia, New Caledonia, Comoros, Seychelles, and Algeria.

We do have the French Community, which were former colonies, mainly in Africa, now independent countries in free association with the RSF.

Ittonia is currently a unitary republic .Once it was a federation, but Ittonian states felt so much national unity it is know a unitary republic

The Empire of Aikoland is a unitary state with only limited authorities delegated to our three states, although they all have their own unicameral Assembly (with 75 seats) and Governor.

The Apelan-Grecian Union (short name: Apela) is a federation as most power that isn't granted to the Federal government in the constitution falls into the hands of the Apelan and Grecian districts.
