It’s actually legal in Andocara. Just not the flags by federal buildings.

It is not illegal, but culturally frowned upon. Flags on republic property are not to be burned. Excess civil unrest would erode foreign confidence in our government. It isn't tolerated.

Whoever burns the blessed flag shall face immediate execution, and whoever shows restraint in damning the offender must be executed too.

Burning the Primotavien national flag is considered treason in our nation. Because it is considered treason, it is treated as such. So all violators of this law are arrested and sentenced to life in prison.

Do whatever you want; just don't do it by a Hypercapitalian Nationalist.

Those dudes are really passionate about the flag and would beat your head in if one of 'em was nearby.

But, Hypercapital is all about Freeness, so, ehhh.

Burning the national flag in private is not an offence. Burning a flag displayed on a public building is a crime punishable by fine and/or imprisonment from one month to two years.

If the flag burning was performed in public with the intention of inciting riot or rebellion against the authorities, the penalty is imprisonment not exceeding one year if the rebellion did not occur, or if it did occur, reclusion for 5-10 years.

If you buy the Anollasian flag and burn it, that's legal. If you burn a flag on a flagpole, that's illegal, since it's public property. It would result in community service or a hefty fine. It is illegal to burn flags of foreign nations, but flags of organizations can be burned.

Depends, most of callsign is completely lawless. Most people wont bat an eye at you burning the national flag. Some may take justice into their own hands.

The burning of the "Imperial Banner" is technically legal under Imperial Law protecting the right to protest.

However, many planets have illegalized flag burning in specific places due to the obvious fire hazards. Other planets to not recognize flag burning as a form of "protest" and consider it closer to "rebellion".

It is also not unheard of for the Imperial Inquisition to launch investigations against those who commit flag burnings in order to determine whether or not they are a traitor, agent of the Enemy, etc.

Flag burning is illegal, as the symbols of Caryton's flag are directly linked to the Gospel Church of Caryton which runs the country with no separation of church and state. It is considered the highest degree of disrespect and blasphemy, and directly punishable by excommunication and imprisonment. It is also indirectly punishable by state-sanctioned ostracization and discrimination until publicly repented. In severe cases, such as the burning of multiple flags or multiple church symbols, it is considered an act of terrorism and punishable by excommunication and execution.

Near the borders, its fairly common due to trouble managing law. Near the capital though it is illegal and enforced.

Burning the Decepticon flag is officially punished by meltdown, and in practice, by battle to the death against a military death squad. The same goes for any other intentional desecration of Decepticon symbols or any imagery strongly associated with the Nation.

Burning other nations' flags is legal, but discouraged since it doesn't actually harm them. We'd rather have our people raid our enemies.

Flag burning is considered a form of free speech in Kuuj and is perfectly legal. As long as the flag belongs to you, you are free to do whatever you want with it. If you burn a flag belonging to someone else or from a public building, you will be fined for the cost of replacing it, plus an additional fine for vandalism or destruction of property.

Drongonia wrote:This thread has one very simple question. Is the act of burning the national flag illegal in your nation? If it is, what kind of punishments are there for it?
It is legal, but almost completely unheard of, even when a flag has been retired — which generally results in recycling. However, if it is done to a flag that is not one's own without permission, it is treated as arson; punishment would most likely include community service and a fine, with more severe punishments depending on other circumstances.

Under Aikolandais law, one can be fined up to 750₣ for burning the national flag with 'intent to cause anger and hostile reactions' with the action of burning it.

However, it is very rare for people to be prosecuted under this law, so burning the Aikolandais flag is considered de facto legal in all circumstances.

Due to the fact that the Planetary Protection League does not have an official flag (and continues to use the UN logo), flag burning is not illegal. Even if the government were to make it illegal, resources that could be used to fight the alien threat being diverted to deal with a petty crime is ridiculous.
