SAR-5 Assault Rifle. Chambering 5.45x39mm rounds, the SAR-5 is ambidextrous (seen from the charging handle), short-stroke piston, gas-operated, closed-rotating bolt action rifle. It is able to fire in single or auto mode, with some variants allowing for 3 burst rounds. It was used as a replacement from the SAR-3 rifle.

Officially it is still the M16A4, however, the military is replacing them for the Steyer AUG in a process they call "Euroization." The AUG has been used by some divisions before, most notably the 1st Naval Assault Division, to wide success, so the military is replacing the AR platform in all military branches to reduce military dependence on the United States and to build closer relationships with European allies.

AK-74M and the Zastava M70 as well as a decent amount of AKMs. 7.62x39mm and 5.45x39mm are used. (mostly, the SMA doesn't follow these rules)

The Scorpio-SI-AR & LEO-AR-1 are the main Assault Riles in Imperia with the Scorpio being recently released and being implemented as the standard issue Assault Rifle for Imperial Legions replacing the LEO-AR-1 which still used by some divisions, Army units, Imperial Marines, National Guard, Paramilitary/Auxiliary Forces, Intelligence Forces, and Police Forces.

HGS does not produce it's own small arms in mass-production quantities, we import SAR-21s from singapore with plans to switch to a local battle rifle.

Currently the USSK is in the process of adopting the SIR (Standard Infantry Rifle), a 6x49mm Unified select fire bullpup using a short stroke gas piston.

The standard assault rifle used within the Kazakh Armed Forces (As well as Internal Troops and regular police patrol units) is the Kalashnikov AK-12.

As well as the AK-12, the SRPU (Special Response Police Unit; the Kazakh successor unit to the Soviet-era OMON) are known to use the Beretta ARX160.
