AboutThis is a lore maintenance thread, specifically, meant to catalogue dossiers, speeches, letters, transcripts, transmissions, profiles, and reports from and between the various ministries of the Pan-Asiatic States government.
It is important to note that this will not only be restricted to traditional third-person storytelling, and that the contexts and emotional weight of features may vary greatly depending on the topic addressed and the way that it is approached. A mixture of traditional third person, first person, distant/archival, and academically-styled articles may all be posted in order to offer more avenues of bringing depth and diversity to the ideas and people of the nation.
How to "Read" This ThreadEverything in this thread should be considered primordial canon in the Pan-Asiatic States' lore. In order to maintain a sense of coherence, all posts have been classified based on their date of release, which section of government produced it, and for what purpose.
The thread should read from your own perspective as a "foreigner" to the Pan-Asiatic States, as though you were scrolling through a partially-classified archive of the Pan-Asiatic States' government, because it, in fact, is. Given this, it should be noted that when reading this database from an in-character standpoint, one should be familiar with the levels of classification indicated per document.
This determines who and what entities may access each document, and can also, most of the time, hint towards the purpose of the document. Those responsible with ensuring the confidentiality of these files, agents of the State Security Confidential Communication Division (SSCD), have come up with a streamlined classification system that encodes confidential information, with each code meaning as follows:
- SSCD-6 Classification: This document is available to the general public and can be accessed on the internet.
- SSCD-5 Classification: This document will be made available to the general public on a date (MM/DD/YY) specified following the designation. (e.g SSCD-2 1/31/04, whereby the date pertains to the date it will be or was made public)
- SSCD-4 Classification: This document, typically a memo, is available only to workers of a specified government agency, its reproduction is penalized by law. (e.g SSCD-4 SDPC, whereby SDPC pertains to the State Development and Planning Commission, whose workers are the only ones allowed to access the document)
- SSCD-3 Classification: This document can only be accessed by members of the Standing Committee of the Federal Congress and anyone whose political position is above them.
- SSCD-2 Classification: This document can only be accessed by the State-Presidents of the Pan-Asiatic States.
