The current official tourism slogan for the Empire of Aikoland is simply « Aikoland, Petit et Beau » (Aikoland, Small and Beautiful)

The slogan was adopted in 2013 by Tourisme Aikoland, replacing the previous tourism slogan of « Le Paradis Caché de l'Europe » (Europe's Hidden Paradise) and Tourisme Aikoland has so far spent over 13 million francs on promoting Aikolandais tourism worldwide using the slogan.

Melvonians tend to find slogans, like many other contemporary communication strategies, rather...vulgar. We don’t have an official tourism slogan.

However, two phrases are commonly associated with holidaymakers and cultural explorers, which we welcome even as we find them confusing. (The phrases not the tourists. Although....)

In the early-to-mid zeroes, when influencers in the Trans-border Region (as the citizens of the tiny state habitually refer to the entire rest of the world) started advocating ‘digital detox’ and ‘slow living’ as the antidote to the stresses of the always-on, hyper-engaged modern lifestyle, increasing numbers of people came to the Serene Republic. These were often the most hardcore workaholics and cybertweakers who had tried and failed to relax in the Caribbean, the Scottish Highlands, the South Seas or the Arctic Circle. Melvonia’s infrastructure is so shonky, and our work-ethic so utterly non-existent, that people started to rate the enforced peace and quiet with the tag “Melvonia: Where Nothing Works, And Neither Can You!”

More concise, and showcasing a different but equally attractive (to tourists) aspect of our national culture, is mostly meme-based - though only a tiny minority of Melvonians know what a meme is. Quite simply, we have the most drug-encouraging laws imaginable, and alcohol is delivered to the doorstep with the morning milk. This sometimes leads to behaviour which Trans-borderians consider eccentric, perplexing or plain crazy, hence the simple but memorable: “Melvonia What The F***?”

Buscoduci, die ii. Septembris 1627

Omnibus has visuris salutem in Domino!

There are several beautiful cities in the diocese of 's-Hertogenbosch. Visitors will be able to tell you that the city of 's-Hertogenbosch is also known as Klein Rome (little Rome) because of the many monasteries and churches; or as Moerasdraak (swamp dragon) because the city is situated in the midst of a great swamp.

These nicknames serve as the slogans that attract visitors from all around Europe. However, the most important reason to visit 's-Hertogenbosch is the miraculous statue of Our Lady that is venerated in our Cathedral. No slogan is needed, as the miracles attract thousands of pilgrims per year.

With my episcopal blessing,
+ Michael Ophovius
Episcopus dioecesis Buscoducencis

Moltr: the only place to see a goat sacrificed for the greater good

I mean... no. That definitely doesn't happen. There's two main slogans:

There's no other choice but strong Moltr. (It's alliteration in Moltrian and doesn't work well in English)
Morgar mað mekrar mu Moltr mottr

Paradise in the north.

The current national tourism slogan is “Wing of the West”. Prior to the 26th of November, 2010, the motto was “Beauties and opportunities to be found”.
For the capital city though, the tourism slogan is “Visit the common good”. It has been the tourism logo for 2 decades and prior to 1999, there was no tourism slogan for the capital city.
