Release Date: November 1987
Introductory Price: Ԑ 3,000 (Fatiman Estanas)
Discontinued: January 1990
Operating System: BC-BASIC (Similar to Applesoft BASIC and PC-BASIC, Incompatible with Apple II and PC-8) PC-BASIC (Similar to Applesoft BASIC and Integer BASIC, Incompatible with Apple II, Optional if PC-8 Compatibility Cartridge Inserted into the Cartridge Port)
CPU: Hudson Soft HuC6280, 7.16 MHz (BC-40), Edeltian Instruments 65C280, 5 MHz (BC-20E)

Successor: SixtyFour Series, PC-Engine Series

The Edeltian Instruments Basic Computer 40 (BC-40) is a 8-bit Personal Computer made by Edeltian Instruments and NEC for the Eastern Siberian Market. It was Supposed to be the Full Successor for BC-30 and BC-35, but it has been Failed to Gain Attention due to the Heavy Competition of Gaming Computers, as well the Partnership of Edeltian Instruments with their Rival Fatimanix Systemica to Develop a Computer Heavily based on the Hardware of PC-8, BC-20, PC-9, ThirtyTwo, X2 and X3 with the Integration of the PC Engine Console, which it would called as X3duet. The Hardware are more Similar to NEC's PC Engine Gaming Console but more Expandable and it has a Keyboard, but Edeltian Instruments offered a Expansion Cartridge with a HuCard Slot, and it was Essentially a Modified Version of BC-20 with the Exception of a Different Processor.

This Computer has also Sold under the "Basic Computer Educational System 20E (BCES, BC-20E)", which it was Sold at Schools but not Advertised as a Computer for Children to Learn BASIC and to Program, but essentially only to Play Educational Games that has been already Made for the BC-20, while some Educational Games for this Software hasn't been made Available for the Consumer Version of BC-20. Although it was Successful for Schools to put this Computer in the Computer Lab as a Gaming Machine for Students to spent their Recess after eating, Schools has stated that they cannot use this Computer as a Learning Machine due to it's Size, which they Opted for a PC-8 Instead.

Edeltian Instruments SixtyFour Mango

Image

Developer: Edeltian Instruments, on Behalf of Newton Markspieler
Manufacturer: NEC, Edeltian Instruments
Type: Home Multimedia Player, Video Game Console
Release Date: N/A (Shown in SixtyFour Fest 1996)
Introductory Price: Never Sold
Discontinued: N/A
Operating System: Newton SF-GEOS II 2.0 Plus (Atari TOS 4.92 Based, GEOS Compatible)
CPU: Motorola 68040, 40 MHz
Sound: Edeltian Instruments DSC-2 (Digital Sound Chip, 32/64-Bit)
Memory: 7 MB
Predecessor: SixtyFour Jupiter
Sucessor: SixtyFour BitPly

The Edeltian Instruments SixtyFour Mango is a Prototype Home Multimedia Player and Video Game Console made by Edeltian Instruments and NEC. It is Supposed to be as Answer to Apple's Pippin by Repurposing the SixtyFour Jupiter with Features brought from the SixtyFour BitPly but it was Later Cancelled due to PR Department of the Edeltian Instruments Criticizing their Move to Compete with Apple Pippin saying that making an Another Video Game Console is a Risky Move for the Company as Edeltian Instruments Totally Focused on Computers alongside with it's Japanese Business Partner NEC, while they have the Rights from NEC to Produce PC-Engine Locally in Eastern Siberia, even to Repurpose their Video Game Consoles depending on Edeltian Instruments' Specification Requirements. The Prototype has been Shown in Various Edeltian Gaming Magazines, even Fatimanian Magazines from December 1995 until March 1996, when it has been Unveiled in SixtyFour Fest in January 20 1996.

It has a Menu when the Console hasn't Detected any Disc Inserted in the CD Tray, very Similar to BitPly but not Similar to Jupiter as the Boot Screen would Remain without a Disc unless there is an Game Disc Inserted into CD Tray. Alongside with the Features, it has a Built-in SixtyFour Emulation that could be Used to make Consumers Satisfied to buy an Cheaper Computer with a Video Game Console Capabilities, However, Business Practices has to be Blamed for the Cancellation of SixtyFour Mango since Edeltian Instruments President Lidia Matsziaski criticized the Project. After the Cancellation, Edeltian Instruments instead Brought these Features to the Second Revision of the BitPly by April 1996, making it Very Similar to the Prototype itself but without the Motorola 68040 Processor.

Edeltian Instruments SixtyFour Jupiter

Image

Developer: Edeltian Instruments, in Behalf of ManxSys
Manufacturer: NEC, Edeltian Instruments
Type: 32-Bit Home Video Game Console
Release Date: July 1 1994
Introductory Price: Ԑ 3,000 (Fatiman Estanas)
Discontinued: January 1999
CPU: Motorola 68040, 40 MHz
Sound: Edeltian Instruments DSC-1 (Digital Sound Chip, 32/64-Bit)
Predecessor: PC-Engine
Sucessor: SixtyFour BitPly

The Edeltian Instruments SixtyFour Jupiter is a 32-Bit Home Video Game Console made by Edeltian Instruments on Behalf of ManxSys for the VECTOR 3D Chip and NEC. It is Based on PC-Engine Duo-RX but it is not Entirely Compatible with the PC-Engine Games and it has a 3D Generator Chip to Generate 32-Bit Polygons and Graphically Similar to Sega Saturn and the PlayStation from Sony, but All of it's Games are Ports from the SixtyFour Computers and Enhanced it with the VECTOR 3D Chip. It is a Answer to the Growing Popularity of Sony PlayStation and to Encourage SixtyFour Developers to Port their Games from SixtyFour to Jupiter.

It is Indeed Commercially Success since People wanted to have a Gaming Machine that could Play SixtyFour Games without using a Computer. However, it was Architecturally Similar to SixtyFour since it Uses Motorola 68040 Processor, an Derivative of the Popular Motorola 68000 Processor used since the First SixtyFour Computer in 1984. However, Graphics and Music has been Controlled by a Separate Motorola 68EC040 Processor, unlike other 3D SixtyFour Games at the Time that Takes the Advantage of ERICA Graphics Chip in All SixtyFour Computers. However, since Developers are Began to Switch from Jupiter to BitPly, it's Sucessor, Edeltian Instruments Discontinued the Jupiter by January 1999, just 12 Months before the Whole SixtyFour Line being Phased Out due to Legal Pressure from Apple.
