I generally use NSStats. Except population. It's always 286 million. Saarkon is MT. Sorry for spelling mistakes, English is not my 1st language.

Currently this nation is under construction because I abandoned it for a year. Hopefully I will return to RPing soon.

Your nation's full name (including pretitle) Universal Empire of Greater Cosmicium
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? Yes please.

Corruption Prevalence
How many corruption-related arrests are made every year? 288.3 septillion (2.883x1026)
How many acts of corruption are estimated to go unchecked every year? 1.5 septillion (1.5x1024)
Do citizens complain about corruption via social media or other channels? Social media? What's that? For other media, the only channels are government-owned, and they sure don't want to report on corruption within their own ranks.
Have you (the official participating in this survey) seen corruption in the past year? Dunno, maybe I did a while ago when some Space Fleet officer made a suspicious deal with that shady spacecraft dealer.
Did your leader come to power via transparent, trusted and legal means? Kasren Vereyn, the current Emperor, came into power as result of the Cosmician constitution, so yes.

Corruption Prevention
Are there specific laws prohibiting individuals from participating in corrupt acts? Yes, though how strictly they are enforced is uncertain.
Are elections for national, state and local government free, fair, open and subject to inspection? Yes, but only for local-level elections, as no national-level or state-level election has taken place in more than a million years.
Are individuals standing for public office required to adhere to an oath or other agreement regarding corruption? Yes.
Is there a framework for preventing corruption in all public sectors, including health, education, police and military? Theoretically there is, but it's ignored regularly for all that moolah.
Is reporting of corruption able to be done anonymously and discretely? Yes, though most people choose to shout their complaints about corruption publicly for maximum effect.

Corruption Monitoring and Reporting
Is there a government body in place to monitor and report incidences of corruption? Yes, the Ministry for Elimination of Corruption-Related Events.
If so, how much authority does this body have? Can it make arrests? In cases corruption is suspected, the Ministry has unlimited power to perform justice on the suspects.
Are there non-government bodies who investigate and report corruption? No.
If so, are they given freedom to report on confirmed and possible cases of corruption? N/A
Are journalists and members of the public free to express their concerns regarding corruption in your nation? Depends on how much they interfere with Cosmician government interests.

Corruption Punishment
What is the maximum sentence for committing financial fraud via government means? A fine equivalent to at least the amount defrauded, and a maximum of 12 years of prison. In more extreme cases, the person may be executed without prejudice.
What is the maximum sentence for committing electoral fraud? That would only be relevant if there were any elections, but a maximum of 10 years in prison.
What is the maximum sentence for misleading voters in an election? That would only be relevant if there were any elections, but that would be a fine of no more than 50,000 IC and a maximum of two years in prison.
What is the maximum sentence for committing a conflict of interest crime? A fine of no more than 50,000 IC and a maximum of two years in prison.
Are those suspected of corruption-related crimes stood down from office while the investigation takes place? Technically yes, but if the slightest suspicion of corruption occurs, the people will depose the corrupt person first and install a commune or something.

END
Are you satisfied with this index? Yes.
Any suggestions or comments on how to improve? N/A

Your nation's full name (including pretitle) The Federation of Lillorainen.
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? If it's no trouble to you, sure!

Corruption Prevalence
How many corruption-related arrests are made every year? 100 - 150 on average (Lillorainen has a total population of about 77 million).
How many acts of corruption are estimated to go unchecked every year? Cannot be told for sure, since they are unreported, but conservative estimations assume about another 50 to 100 every year. Yet, even these are usually not of national or regional meaning, but of local one.
Do citizens complain about corruption via social media or other channels? If there is a larger amount of people affected by it, or occurs in the higher ranks, then yes, they do. But they will rarely complain, if it only involves, say, the Mayor of some small town somewhere on the other side of the country.
Have you (the official participating in this survey) seen corruption in the past year? "Not in the past year, but I happened to be around during that corruption scandal in the State of Vedjading ten years ago. Gods in Asgard, that was a huge one ... I mean, four Members of the State Parliament accepting cash and post-MP job offers from that shipping company ...!"
Did your leader come to power via transparent, trusted and legal means? Yes, he came to power in a due process appointed by the Meritocratic Council and approved by the Chamber of States. One could argue, that the means of tie-breaking was a bit "creative" from a foreign perspective, but still fully compliant with federal law.

Corruption Prevention
Are there specific laws prohibiting individuals from participating in corrupt acts? Yes, there are comprehensive anti-corruption laws.
Are elections for national, state and local government free, fair, open and subject to inspection? Yes.
Are individuals standing for public office required to adhere to an oath or other agreement regarding corruption? Yes, and it is thoroughly upheld.
Is there a framework for preventing corruption in all public sectors, including health, education, police and military? Yes.
Is reporting of corruption able to be done anonymously and discretely? Yes, there are numerous ways for every individual to report corruption cases without getting known for doing so.

Corruption Monitoring and Reporting
Is there a government body in place to monitor and report incidences of corruption? Yes, there is the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and its equivalents on state level (LKA), as well as state attorneys dealing with corruption specifically.
If so, how much authority does this body have? Can it make arrests? BKA and LKA can investigate and arrest; state attorneys can only investigate and pass their results on to bodies with arresting authority.
Are there non-government bodies who investigate and report corruption? Journalists, private investigators, NGOs, ordinary citizens ... you name it.
If so, are they given freedom to report on confirmed and possible cases of corruption? Since literally everyone can report cases of corruption, yes.
Are journalists and members of the public free to express their concerns regarding corruption in your nation? Yes. Freedom of expression is a thing.

Corruption Punishment
What is the maximum sentence for committing financial fraud via government means? 15 years of imprisonment, confiscation of all money and assets acquired through fraudulent means, lifetime ban from any political office. Plus, lots of public shaming in government and press.
What is the maximum sentence for committing electoral fraud? Same as above.
What is the maximum sentence for misleading voters in an election? Technically, there is no law against promising something before an election/appointment and doing the opposite afterwards. It is heavily frowned upon, though, and will lead to a lot of humiliation.
What is the maximum sentence for committing a conflict of interest crime? The worst case so far resulted in 12 years of imprisonment and a lifetime ban from public offices. This may vary depending on state legislation, though.
Are those suspected of corruption-related crimes stood down from office while the investigation takes place? Depends on severity and whether or not there is evidence beyond reasonable doubt. It is usually the case, though.

END
Are you satisfied with this index? Yes. Good job!
Any suggestions or comments on how to improve? Perhaps consider looking at the number of corruption cases per year as relative to the size/population of the country, as a number of, say, 100 cases per year would have much more of an impact onto the corruption perception in a country like Liechtenstein than it would in a country like the U.S. Other than that, it's fine! ^^
Since Lillorainen's geography is currently being overhauled a 'tiny' bit, most information on it posted before December 12, 2018, is not entirely reliable anymore. Until there's a new, proper factfile, everything you might need to know can be found here. Thank you. #RetconOfDoom (Very late update, 2020/08/30 - it's still going on ...)

Have you (the official participating in this survey) seen corruption in the past year? Yes.
Did your leader come to power via transparent, trusted and legal means? Technically yes, he was democratically elected and controls a majority in Parliament - although ballot box tampering has been reported. Moreover, the rise to power of this government comes from a constitutional loophole rather than what the constitution intended.

Corruption Prevention

Are elections for national, state and local government free, fair, open and subject to inspection? De jure, they are. However, independent watchdogs have criticised the electoral process as being rigged.
Are individuals standing for public office required to adhere to an oath or other agreement regarding corruption? Yes.
Is there a framework for preventing corruption in all public sectors, including health, education, police and military? There is a framework, and many public institutions enforce them well. However, the highest levels of government are near invulnerable to it.
Is reporting of corruption able to be done anonymously and discretely? Yes, of some public institutions; however, to bring down a leading government figure for corruption charges would be incredibly difficult.

Corruption Monitoring and Reporting
Is there a government body in place to monitor and report incidences of corruption? Yes; however, it is far from perfect.
If so, how much authority does this body have? Can it make arrests? It can make arrests, but as a body it is too subject to corruption.
Are there non-government bodies who investigate and report corruption? Yes.
If so, are they given freedom to report on confirmed and possible cases of corruption? Not particularly, they are heavily monitored and activists are often arrested for libel, defamation, etc.
Are journalists and members of the public free to express their concerns regarding corruption in your nation? Yes, but they are heavily monitored so many fear to.

Corruption Punishment
What is the maximum sentence for committing financial fraud via government means? Depends on extent, but can go up to 40 years and confiscation of property.
What is the maximum sentence for committing electoral fraud? Can go up to 30 years; however, it is selectively enforced.
What is the maximum sentence for misleading voters in an election? This is not a crime.
What is the maximum sentence for committing a conflict of interest crime? Can go up to 15 years and confiscation of property.
Are those suspected of corruption-related crimes stood down from office while the investigation takes place? Yes, they are suspended; however, it is a selectively enforced law.

END
Are you satisfied with this index? Yes, very good!
Any suggestions or comments on how to improve? Not that I can think of.

The following form is completed by a representative from the Republic of Strahcoin:

Your nation's full name (including pretitle) Republic of Strahcoin
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? No thanks.

Corruption Prevalence
How many corruption-related arrests are made every year? Zero.
How many acts of corruption are estimated to go unchecked every year? Less than one, according to various private organizations and individuals.
Do citizens complain about corruption via social media or other channels? Yes, somewhat. They are primarily alleging the Pragmatic Party of corruption; I have yet to see any complaints accusing the Strahconian President or the two main parties, and considering the President's idealist nature and his idolization by the people, I doubt there will be.
Have you (the official participating in this survey) seen corruption in the past year? Not directly, but I do share the public's suspicions regarding corruption within the Pragmatic Party. I believe that there will be an investigation soon.
Was your leader elected legitimately via a free and fair election? Yes.

Corruption Prevention
Are there specific laws prohibiting individuals from participating in corrupt acts? Yes.
Are elections for national, state and local government free, fair, open and subject to inspection? Yes.
Are individuals standing for public office required to adhere to an oath or other agreement regarding corruption? Yes.
Is there a framework for preventing corruption in all public sectors, including health, education, police and military? Yes.
Is reporting of corruption able to be done anonymously and discretely? Yes.

Corruption Monitoring and Reporting
Is there a government body in place to monitor and report incidences of corruption? The police and the SIA (Strahconian Intelligence Agency).
If so, how much authority does this body have? Can it make arrests? They have the authority and the duty to arrest suspects and conduct investigations. They themselves could be investigated by private organizations if suspected of corruption.
Are there non-government bodies who investigate and report corruption? Absolutely. There are numerous private whistleblower organizations in the Republic.
If so, are they given freedom to report on confirmed and possible cases of corruption? Yes. Actually, the freedom is not given to them per say, for it is inherent and inviolable, as outlined in our Constitution. We acknowledge and protect this freedom.
Are journalists and members of the public free to express their concerns regarding corruption in your nation? Yes. The right to speak freely is respected here.

Corruption Punishment
What is the maximum sentence for committing financial fraud via government means? Incarceration and expulsion from the government position.
What is the maximum sentence for committing electoral fraud? Incarceration and expulsion from the government position.
What is the maximum sentence for misleading voters in an election? What do you mean by misleading? One small slip-up is not a crime. An outright lie could be punishable of incarceration - or even execution, if such statements involve knowingly defaming someone by accusing him/her of a capital offense.
What is the maximum sentence for committing a conflict of interest crime? Those that are legally punishable (e.g. accepting a bribe) are mostly punishable by incarceration and expulsion from the government position. Directly and knowingly aiding the enemy at times of war, however, is treason and punishable by execution.
Are those suspected of corruption-related crimes stood down from office while the investigation takes place? They are temporarily stood down, with "technical votes" for any legislation written. If they are found guilty, the technical votes are discarded, and they are punished as required by law. If they are not found guilty, however, they resume their duties and the technical votes count as votes. Investigations should be quick, anyways, due to our advanced technology and competitive private organizations, so chances are we wouldn't need to deal with this anyways.

END
Are you satisfied with this index? Yes.
Any suggestions or comments on how to improve? No. The current version is sufficient.
Not all NS stats/policies may be used. NOTICE: Factbooks and Dispatches are mostly outdated. See here for more info.
Accidental policies: Marriage Equality. I blame nsindex.net for not mentioning that part in no. 438 even though common sense dictates that I should have figured it out myself
A 15.428571428571... civilization, according to this index.
On this index, my army is a 6-6-8.
OOC: I am a conservative and a free-market capitalist. Trump is great, even though he is a moderate. There are only two genders. I like natural rights, but strong authority and cultural moralism are needed to protect them. Nation mostly represents my views.
