Many years ago, we barcoded citizens and became one, but then we got out of dictatorship a number of issues later. We were a Psychotic Dictatorship, then Iron Fist Consumerists, then Father Knows Best State, but then we became a democracy again. We started out kinda like Sweden, before we barcoded citizens.
Btw, I'm conservative leaning IRL, but this game's algorithm was really weird when I started, but then came a re-jigger. It still does weird stuff sometimes, though, but that's okay in a game.

Does your Nation have ignorant citizens who don't follow laws? In Alingh,i the jouvanile crime, related to graffitism of private propriety (also sin most cases the private if not offensive but can give a popularity to a company the private will not denounce), pickpoketing, or other "small stuff" is present, this also because the canton's penal codes didn't a very harsh punishment. Because the cantonal penal law punish more hardly to violent crimes, but tend give a "second possibilty" for "light crimes".
Is your Nation's government tolerant towards some other Ideologies? Yes.
Are human rights obeyed in your Nation? Costitutionally.
Are there frequent revolts in your Nation? Nope. Some pacific protest not more.
Is corruption prevalent in your Nation? Alinghi is one of the least corrupted nations of the world
Has your Nation ever been a Dictatorship before? where was a period beetwen 2000-2004 when the king tryed to accentrate the power on himself trying to transform the nation de facto in absolute and autocratic monarchy. Ironically was a coup d'etat by the military of 1st May 2004 to top the process. The new established junta forced the king to organize in the succesive year an istitutional referendum between monarchy and republic, and elections of a new parliament (election helded on 25th May 2005, that makes Alinghi a Republic), and give to a military junta the powers (since 25th May 2004 became a civil junta) until the election date. One of the first acts of military junta was the reestabisment of all political and civil right denied by the king the four previous years. Is one of the few military coup d'etat that chenges a regime from near-dictatorial into a democratic regime. Comparison was done with portugese 1974 coup d'etat, or Carnation Revolution. One another period of dictatorship is was Alinghi had lost indipendence in the year 1940 to 1946 whe the nation was occupied by the Kingdom of Pavan.

Does your Nation have ignorant citizens who don't follow laws? Yes, and any people who do not follow laws are seen as uncivilized and uncultured. Social punishments (e.g. exile, excommunication, etc) are usually more than enough to deal with them.
Is your Nation's government tolerant towards some other Ideologies? Not officially, though the concept of Democratic Socialism can be interpreted by anyone. It's a bad loophole, unfortunately, and has been used to justify and legitimize military governments.
Are human rights obeyed in your Nation? Obligations come before Rights. If one follows the law, the government will give more rights to said oneself
Are there frequent revolts in your Nation? There were. However, due to some nostalgia for the more orderly authoritarian Republics, citizens tend to strive for unity and collectivism rather than individualistic goals.
Is corruption prevalent in your Nation? Yes but not for petty reasons. It's mostly funding diversion since the reputation of an area, a state-owned enterprise, or any other entity capable of being politicized is extremely important. It is not uncommon for an area to be left unfunded and has to beg to their surrounding regions. Furthering the stigma surrounding said areas.
Has your Nation ever been a Dictatorship before? Twice, during Gaulisceini's Order (Olden Republic) and the Fourth Republic.

by TURTLESHROOM II
Your Nation's full name Great Bountiful Empire of the United Turtles, Mushrooms, and Men of TurtleShroom

Does your Nation have ignorant citizens who don't follow laws? Of course, and every nation that says they don't is lying. Remember, though, not every law is just.

Is your Nation's government tolerant towards some other Ideologies? Dissent against the government is one of, if not the, most important rights in TurtleShroomian law and custom. All other ideologies are allowed unless, and only unless, they are Marxist.

Are human rights obeyed in your Nation?
Yes, of course. All sapient lifeforms have rights and privileges, including the ability to become citizens. Pure sapient life, anyway. Nekomimis are neither human nor cat.

Are there frequent revolts in your Nation? Yes. The nation just concluded its Civil War.

Is corruption prevalent in your Nation?
This is an extremely controversial question, and no two international observers (let alone TurtleShroom proper) has the same answer.

To open this can of worms, first ask the question: what is governmental corruption?

In TurtleShroom, the primary definitions are bribery, electoral fraud, and fabricating or planting evidence. All three of these crimes are punishable by death. In addition, all sexual misconduct, seduction and sleeping with others for favors (etc.) is handled as corruption (including fornication and especially adultery). In the public sector, sleeping one's way to the top, or trading sex for favors can also be punishable by death as political corruption.

Corruption in the Church and in charities are far more serious than political corruption and also carry the death penalty. Lastly, abusing positions of power for sexual favors, sexual assault, and (God forbid) rape (especially of children of any species) are the most heinous acts of corruption in TurtleShroom. Every instance of this recorded in TurtleShroom has resulted in capital punishment.

However, donating to political causes and campaigns (etc.), and even offering gift baskets and restaurant trips to politicians, are not, as long as the gift is logged and submitted to the Imperial Board of Electoral Purity (or the Parishionial equivalent). The Thirty-Fourth Amendment to the Constitution of TurtleShroom particularly addresses this definition by legalizing all campaign contributions and similar expenditures as human rights and free speech, as well as enforcing the strict logging procedures.

The definition of "bribe" versus "gift" is constantly defined and analyzed, as even under civil law, judges can't get their hands on what the legislature means. Consequently, the laws concerning bribes and gifts take up entire binders in TS legal documentation. Most of the longest laws in TurtleShroom concern matters of corruption and are expanded and redefined every time some butt much comes up with something new to mishandle.

Here's one common example. TS police are known universally as taser-happy and not shy about using their billy clubs. Unlike many nations with similar police culture, tasing is their first move over gunshots and it begins immediately.

Under TurtleShroomian law, policemen committing unnecessary violence to an active and dangerous suspect that is visibly and clearly in the course of committing a violent crime, in the presence of two or more witnesses, is not a criminal offense. This is known under TurtleShroomian law as "punitive force" and is a valid defense in court; use of punitive force against alleged nonviolent offenders is a criminal offense and is also grounds for mandatory termination of employment. Intentionally using punitive force against an individual that the officer knows is innocent is a criminal offense punishable by up to sixty years in prison.

This standard means that, on one hand, a policeman can openly engage brutality and not be punished under many specific circumstances. On the other hand, if he plants evidence or takes bribes (etc.), or deliberately damages a case (etc.), he can and will almost certainly be executed.

Furthermore, nepotism is culturally acceptable in TurtleShroom unless the family member is known by the appointing party to be stupidly incompetent. When this puts lives on the line, only then is it punished.

On the legislative side, TurtleShroom's politics has centuries of tradition revolving around earmarks, pork barrel spending, log rolling parliamentary procedure, and especially, in terms of funding, picking and choose what locations get it and what don't. Especially earmarks. Quid-pro-quo agreements between lawmakers appropriating public funds (e.g. fund my pet project and I'll fund yours), in public view, is well-known.

Has your Nation ever been a Dictatorship before? Yes, twice. The last dictatorship (a military junta) ended in 2019 AD, following the previous dictatorship that began around 2012 AD.

Are human rights obeyed in your Nation? unless it is the State Security Consulting firms and Reznoviya's State Companies hiding corruption there are no human rights violations committed by Reznoviya.
Are there frequent revolts in your Nation? one revolution happened due to Reznoviya's enemies using propaganda to lie about them in 2280, and said rebels fell in the same way Nazi Germany did. the only difference is Reznoviya's Moscow (or Vorkuta,) was unable to be stealthily or massively invaded despite the rebels being at the capital's door.
Is corruption prevalent in your Nation? not really. there is loyal people who abide the law. And the Military is aware of the Enemy's tricks.
Has your Nation ever been a Dictatorship before? Reznoviya has been accused by many Right Wing American sources (even though the Right-wing Slobodanists in Serbia and Montenegro would disagree with the sources) has greatly overexaggerated that we're some evil Stalinist Dictatorship even though elections are held after the Premier/President dies or resigns.

Does your Nation have ignorant citizens who don't follow laws? Yes, there are such folks, just like in any other non-hive mind nation. Besides, no matter, who hard we try to make laws just, sometimes they have to be broken for the sake of justice and/or common sense. Still, we keep our place somewhat civilzied, so behave.

Is your Nation's government tolerant towards some other Ideologies?
Sorta. Authoritarian and conservative ideologies are unpopular among our people, due to historical reasons, but if ya' ask if we punish people for dissent, then no. We are tolerant in this term.

Are human rights obeyed in your Nation?
Let's just say, it's a lil' bit hard to disobey human rights, when people are armed and can easily organize.

Are there frequent revolts in your Nation?
Nah, there was one in 1982, but then... not anymore.

Is corruption prevalent in your Nation?
It's prevalent among officials, yes, but it's kept inside. Should it hurt the people or cross the way of Council, the corrupt official, who made the harm would be quickly dispatched. And yes, the Council cannot abuse it's power either, as anytime, if they screw up or cause harm, people have a right to demand their resignation by popular vote, and the guily Council member will have no choice but to obey their will. Vox populi, vox dei.

Has your Nation ever been a Dictatorship before?
Sadly, yes. When Skyhooked had a name of Enthorea, there was a period of theocratic dictatorship under Edgar. We were brutally oppressed and stripped off all our culture, until First Leader Seth led us to revolution.
