However, the primary left-wing party in Seleyah (the Labour Party) has become increasingly aligned with other left-wing parties in the English speaking world and has developed a vicious anti-Zionism (and at times openly anti-Semitic) element. Seleyahn universities and other organisations have also been subject to boycott and divestment strategies.

Before then we recognised it as part of the Roman Empire, with a brief period as part of the Persian Empire. We are unsure what developments have occurred since then.

Officially, the USSR does not recognize the State of Israel, and hasn't since the mid to late 1940's.

In more recent years, however, the USSR has begun diplomacy with Israel and Palestine, and both Presidents Gorbachev and Lebedev have privately announced support for a two-state solution.

The Achaean Republic recognizes the State of Israel since 1950. However, recognition and relationship has been fraught in controversy regarding the Arab-Achaean minority in regards to Israel. Some left-wing and Arab-Achaeans want the Achaean Republic to either unilaterally stop recognizing Israel in favor of Palestine or both states in the interest of fairness, while right-wing Achaeans––and, in particular, fundamentalist Christian Evangelicals and Pentecostals––prefer the nation to only recognize Israel.

Because many Arab-Achaeans have dual citizenship, in particular with countries such as Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, many Arab-Achaeans face many sanctions upon even touching Israeli soil, up to and including loss of citizenship. This became particular with popular Arab-Achaean singer Nadine Tannóus, who was threatened by the Lebanese government in 2016 that she would lose her Lebanese citizenship (her mother is a French-speaking Christian Maronite from Jounieh, while her father is a Shia Muslim Jordanian) if she traveled to Jaffa, Israel for a concert. In the end, despite political wrangling between the Achaean and Lebanese governments (as well as a discussion on how to best approach Israel for the Arab-Achaean diaspora, which tends to be Christian and overwhelmingly supportive of Israel), the concert was canceled but only because she became pregnant.
