Is it one of your allies? We're beginning to reopen relations and become much friendlier under diplomatic and military terms but during Exodia's rise as a regional power during the 1970s through 1980s we were definitely not allies.
Is it an enemy? Not quite. We're culturally and geographically very close to the United States and are fond of their people, but our government has had frequent clashes from the 1970s through the 1990s and even still more with theirs. We developed a dislike for Washington and Washington developed a dislike for us pretty quickly after 1975, which took the lives of over 800 Exodians without an explanation.
Do you trade with it? Yes, largely out of necessity however. Our cutting of oil exports to the rest of the West exacerbated the late 1970s oil crisis heavily (while benefitting us economically), and from 1976 to 2035 our trade was strictly limited largely to importation of various goods and raw resources (mostly food, although much of it also comes from Mexico and Latin America) and media exchanges, with heavy protectionism from the Exodian side except for a few cases. We briefly reopened trade and technology transfers during the 2016-2024 Trump administration, but we limited our relationship until the Guns of the Patriots Incident in 2034.
Do you support it? We have in our past. Before 1975 America was a very strong ally and friend for the Democratic Territories, particularly during both World Wars and supporting us in our 1953 independence from the British Commonwealth. However, it cannot be said we supported their geopolitical influence for the later part of the Cold War and modern era.
Did you ever fight it? While Exodia and the United States have never openly declared war on each other, Exodia has involved itself in rather... questionable ways during the infamous Latin American proxy wars. Such included clandestine violence against several US-backed regimes and destabilization of its allied groups in Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala, as well as swaying groups such as the Contras and US allies such as Taiwan and Israel closer to our sphere of influence. Perhaps our closest breaking points were during our invasion of Cuba in 1975 in which we deliberately threatened to bomb the US Navy's Camp Omega black site (present-day Guantanamo Bay Detention Center) and other military camps and black sites if the CIA didn't release information regarding Ground Zeroes to us, and later on our involvement during the 1989-1990 Panamian attempted coup and the American invasion. Such resulted in the deaths of several US special forces and CIA operatives during the coup of which we may or may not be responsible- and the forced rerouting of US Navy and USAF operations in the Gulf of Mexico and our own invasion plans from the East that required them to switch their entire strategy with us in the mix, which we are proudly responsible for. All that mess culminated in then-Governor Joseph Menoz's revelation to then-President George H.W. Bush that we were in the possession of multiple biochemical and nuclear WMDs and were ready to deploy them in self-defense in case of a strike against the homeland.
This isn't just mentioning how our military trains frequently to defend against a hypothetical US invasion and frequently "buzz" American naval positions and airspace.
Did you ever fight alongside it? Pre-1975 the US and Exodia were practically inseparable as a fighting force, with the exceptions of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. As the US and UK had their Special Relationship, we tagged along as part of the UK's Commonwealth and as an American trade ally and neighbor. World War I and II saw us fight together in Europe and the Atlantic, and before our split the US used Exodia as a forward operating base and reserve force for its operations in Latin America, which resulted in our very large reserves of ex-American materiel and weaponry. Even when we were harsh rivals and competitors, we coordinated well for military strikes during the 2025 Latin American Escalation on the side of Columbia, Brazil, and Chile (common allies shared between us) and worked together in the high point during the War on Asha-Wang from 2025 to 2026, both of us united in our wish for revenge against the rogue Communist state. With relations coming closer as they are now, Exodian and American military cooperation has been at its highest since before our split.

• Yes.

Is it one of your allies?

• Depends on what you consider an 'ally'. Synnia in both the national and corporate aspect both provide a vast quantity of goods to the United States but in ways the same as they would to any other customer. Synne Industries is not tied up in any real international agreements with the U.S. outside of those relating to monetary profit.

Is it an enemy?

• Once again dependent on differing definitions of allies and enemies. Though the American government gives no formal stance on Synnia outside of the typical event-dependent mask to try to sway public opinion, the American populace does tend to have strong and divided opinions on Synnian-American relations and for good reason to. Since the mid 21st century Synnia has partaken in more or less loansharking on an global scale, taking advantage of numerous conflicts and other international chaos to start siphoning large sums of money from various superpowers including but not limited to the United States. Over 20 years of this sapping away has justifiably soured public opinion within the States against Synnia though the influx of Synnian-made products along with your expected rabid contrarianism within the U.S. political sphere has produced a decent number of those supporting Synnia.

• Not so much trade in the traditional sense as offer products and services for raw monetary units to parties both state and private.

• See above.

Did you ever fight it?

• There were light naval and air skirmishes between Synnian paramilitary groups throughout the 60s and early 70s but nothing too dramatic.

Did you ever fight alongside it?

• Yes, most notably during the Chinese maritime conflicts where Synnia assisted NATO forces. It should be noted that Synnia was not directed affiliated with NATO and was fighting on its own terms over several particularly violent disagreements involving cargo ships and hypersonic missile systems when the conflict broke out.
