Ravenni was placed under a trade embargo in 2018 after we refused to stop our state-owned pharmaceutical manufacturer from producing generic versions of drugs developed and patented in the US. However the embargo excludes information technology, which at the time was our number one export to the United States and remains so.
Do you support it? We recognise it diplomatically, but we're not shy about criticising it's faults. On the world stage we usually find ourselves on opposing sides of issues.
Did you ever fight it? Not directly. We have openly supported many nations in their fights against US invasion and occupation (Cuba, Vietnam, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Panama, Venezuela) with logistical support, intelligence and medical support, but never with military action. US intervention was considered during the 1952 Ravennian Revolution, but were unable to mobilise in time to prevent our success.
Did you ever fight alongside it? Ravenni and the US were both on the Allied side of World Wars One and Two. Although in both cases Ravenni had been occupied by the time that the United States joined the war, Ravennian Partisans fought alongside US forces in our liberation from occupation in WWII.

Wardland primarily helped by conducting naval landings in Southern California and marching northwards before meeting up with General Henry Hopkins Sibley's Army of New Mexico (which had successfully made it into California by this point, 1862) and assisting local Californian patriots take Sacramento, ending the war in California, and resulting in the secession of California and Oregon and their unification as the "Pacific Republic", a member of the CSA.

They had us pegged as backwards in terms of technology and tactics, which over the course of several battles resulted in US forces recieving a very bloody nose, president Obama signed a mutual peace accord after the battle of Virgin Island, which resulted in said territory being invaded and occupied for several weeks. The peace accord would describe the respective zones each nation could call their terratorial waters with neutral and buffer zones. Neither side would give a penny of reperations which dragged the negotiations out.

However, tourism remains our Island's largest industry, and about 35% of these tourists are from the US.
