LGBTQ has always been part of the Quaxoglian society.
Although, in the 30s 'til the late '80s the catholic church regained power.
In the late 80s LGBTQ was finally allowed.
Since 2014 they same-sex marriage is allowed.
Although in more conservative -more catholic- provinces there are still some troubbles, the Federal government is working on it.

The LGBT community enjoys many rights in Arkania, except the right to marry in a church, as only civil unions are recognized for LGBT. The Arkanian population is very tolerant too.

The North Sea People's Republic, colloquially known as Northaria, established in 1421 A.D. (current constitution: 2022).
A multiethnic Northern European nation with strong democratic and anti-feudal traditions, now building socialism.

Homosexuality is legal, widely tolerated and generally not an issue of contention in the Kingdom of Velosia. Same-sex marriage is legal and is not classified as separate from a heterosexual marriage under Velosian law, carrying the same privileges and responsibilities. There are however a few areas that could be considered as 'problematic' to various LGBTQ+ persons in other countries:

  • Same-sex marriage & religion - Unlike in many countries, clergymen and places of worship are not required by law to perform same-sex marriage ceremonies. Certain religions hold the belief that the marriage ceremony itself is a sacred contract that can only be performed in the union of a man and a woman. As such, forcing clergymen and religious institutions to perform same-sex marriages in their places of worship, under Velosian law, is considered to be a violation of the freedom of religion. However, since Velosia is traditionally a highly secular nation and Velosians are growing increasingly apathetic towards religion, there is yet to be a single reported case of a church or other place of worship barring same-sex weddings.

  • Transgenderism - The concept of 'transgenderism', while generally not viewed with hostility, is still treated with significant scepticism by mainstream society in Velosia and there is no great desire to spread awareness. For example, a 'transgender woman' will instead often be described as a someone who 'identifies as a woman' in the mainstream press, tacitly still referring to them as male. The ability for a person to legally change their gender, under most circumstances aside from a few medical-related ones, is not currently possible with no large scale movement currently active that is seeking to change the status quo. It is important to note though that openly identifying as anything other than your biological gender is not a criminal offence.

  • Hate speech - Intolerant or hateful speech directed at LGBTQ+ persons is perfectly legal in Velosia though there are some notable exceptions, namely inciting violence of a physical or psychological nature. While occasionally challenged by certain groups and individuals, Velosia has a strong tradition of protecting free speech, even if such speech is considered offensive or belligerent by the majority of society. As such, aside from a vocal minority, there are no widespread calls from society at large for such speech to be heavily censored or outright banned.

Absolutely, and anyone who opposes LGBTQ rights are frowned upon and ostracised by general society. Here, LGBTQ people are thought of as equals and are thought of as normal. Even still, we have strict laws against discrimination.

We are a LGBT accepting country. There is still homophobic people but in general there is acceptance of LGTBs and LGTBs are legally protected from discrimination.

Being LGTB is not illegal by law.
LGTB have the same rights and obligations as any other citizen: They can marry since 2005 and they can adopt children since 2008. Also they can try to seek asylum if they are pursuit by their sexual condition in their home country.
ICS(National health system) covers sex changes and trangenders can change their name and sex in official documents.

There is little legislation on LGBT ideas in most parts of the nation as states get to decide on most of their own laws.

Most states leave it up to certain establishments such as churches whether to accept LGBTs or not, while one, Vapora does enforce that churches must carry out gay marriages.

Federally however, LGBT ideas have not been added to the curriculum in schools and transgender surgeries are not be carried out as it's considered to be genital mutilation, although mental help is offered to those who are transgender.

Culturally, it is looked down upon as most of the population is religious, but not treated with hostility, and would only be in extreme cases such as when a 7 year old kid was forced to be transgender.

In the Wiccan Israel, LGBTQ+ rights are protected by the Basic Law. Quite a few citizens here are homosexuals and pansexuals. Hostility or prejudice based on a person's sexual orientation or gender identity is a criminal offense.

Thalapolis is accepting in the sense that LGBT people are not discriminated against, at least not by the government, and it's perfectly legal. However, it is not celebrated either, and the government neither condones nor condemns it.

Do you support LGBTQ people or discriminate against them ?

LGBT people have equal rights such as marriage, adoption etc however we also recognise religious freedom so we don't force Christian bakers to make gay wedding cakes or force Christian orphanages to give children to gay couples etc

Trans people are allowed to get sex changes provided they are 18 years old or above and are still classified as their original gender in relation to stuff like prisons, athletics etc

Gay marriage has been legal since 2007, this only applies to civil partnerships only and ‘spiritual’ marriage as the Marriage Equality Act of 2007 defines it is prohibited if a couple of the same sex wishes to marry. Adoption of children by same sex couples it allowed. Transgender surgery services are not provided by the NHS and only companies can provide it after a license is granted. Homosexual rape is a crime, Violent assault of LGBTQ members is also a crime however saying LGBTQ slurs or derogatory terms is legal because we treat it the same as using slurs and derogatory terms against minorities.

Those who are LGB are treated just like any other Thermodolian, with same-sex marriage being legal and civil protections in place.

However for those who are TQ+ while they are legally protected, however currently there is a moratorium on transitioning, culturally they are looked down upon.

Also unlike many nations marriage isn’t a religious matter but something of the state. Those who get married in a church or other religious place of worship must still get married in front of a judge in order for the marriage to be legal in the eyes of the state.
