This is quite a quirky topic for the Federation, it is illegal and punished by death penalty. A lot of people especially born in USSR support this, but almost same amount of young people view it as a wrong and disgusting choice, their opinion is clearly ignored though. There have been attempts to establish pride parades which have failed horribly by being suppressed by Neotitoist Guard and concerned citizens which have their own firearms and melee weapons(Federation has very permissive weapon laws) even resulting in several casualties. Organisers of such events are quickly found by concerned citizens and questioned before being hanged on public square and used as a shooting target by people that go there to have a good time with a family and relax (which is quite common in the Federation) for several days before they start to rot.

The Ephyral perception and manifestation of homosexual desires and behaviours differs strikingly from many of its contemporaries. Words for 'heterosexual' and 'homosexual' do not exist as direct translations, though a variety of words indicate the role of a person within a homosexual relationship. With regards to the sexes themselves, it is male-male homosexuality that is of greater social impact and moral concern, and this is a consequence of the restrictive dichotomy through which sex is viewed from the male position.

This dichotomy operates on the active/masculine/dominant/penetrator and the passive/feminine/submissive/penetrated. So long as an Ephyral man fulfils this active half of the dichotomy, whether his submissive partner is male or female is not at all reflective of his moral character or masculinity. Ephyral men are free to enjoy the sexual company of a male so long as he takes the dominating role. Because all Ephyral men are bound by this expectation, the homosexual relationship takes on a class-based power dynamic, as citizens will seek to penetrate males of inferior social status; often slaves, prostitutes, or other men who are without Ephyral citizenship. An Ephyral man who surrenders his body to be used by other men threatens his liberty as a citizen - committing voluntary the acts he is protected from - and damages his sexual character and masculinity, as he takes the role of a woman. However the limitation to partaking in any such affairs with another citizen woman is primarily physical, as the Ephyral woman's role is confined to the domestic sphere. Though this doesn't restrict her from leaving the house and visiting female friends, and indeed this is part of her responsibility, it can limit to a greater extent than the more publicly-oriented citizen male her time and ability to form and partake in a more equal relationship with another citizen. In conclusion, the perception of homosexuality as a desire and behaviour varies strongly depending on of it's male-male, female-female, and exactly what the social status and physical or symbolic roles the participants are taking. There is no blanket concept of homosexuality to endorse or reject, but rather a highly nuanced system of power and control where morality of action is rooted in position and self-control.

We don’t officially support it, but we don’t persecute them for it. Our King of King and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ, doesn’t allow it, but if they don’t ask you don’t have to make a big deal of it.
