٤ شوّال ١٤٤٣ 4 Shawwāl 1443 5 May 2022 Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bayt al-Umam, Gu'la, Al Madhaa. Bi-smi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīmi In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Ministro degli Affari Esteri, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in light of the accession to the throne of the late Emir, Ghazi bin Qadar Al Shams, by his successor Zuhr bint Ghazi Al Shams, Emirah of Al Madhaa, and by her explicit command, considers it prudent to begin to establish various diplomatic relations with such countries that the Emirate does not yet have. As Minister, it is my duty to begin the process of establishing the presence of such missions, especially in countries such as your own. On behalf of the Emirah and her Government, I am pleased to be able to present to you this letter, of which its sole purpose is to forge a bond between the Emirate and the Republic of Montevento, with the goal of establishing an embassy in San Giovanni. The Emirate, as well as the Emirah, believe that such a bond would be in the best interests of our respective countries, and hope that your Ministry believes the same. In these times, diplomacy is well needed, and as the world and its influence expands, the ability to consider the Republic as one of its allies would bring much joy to the Ministry and its staff alike. The Emirah congratulates His Serenity on his election—though admittedly her congratulations have most likely been received during preparations for the next election (if His Serenity is so inclined)—and considers him a kindred spirit, while also acknowledging the history both leaders have made in their respective nations. Although they are more than twelve years apart in age, they have come into power a little more than a year apart from each other, carving out their own paths among the established government in order to create a better society for their citizens, and this, along with many other similarities, only strengthens the Emirate's resolve to continue to reach out to other nations, both domestically and otherwise. Enclosed below is the required documentation needed in order to establish diplomatic ties between us; although the diplomatic program is currently under construction, if after receiving this letter His Serenity's Government wishes to establish a Monteventani embassy in the capital city of Gu'la, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would be more than delighted to accept the esteemed hand of friendship while reserving a place for the expected Ambassador, and requests that any such inquiries be directed to the Ministry via letter and addressed to myself, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, the Ministry asks that accommodations be made for several of the members of the appointed diplomatic staff in regard to religion—the Safir, the Deputy Safir and Attachés are all practicing Sunni Muslims, and as such wish to inquire about the presence of any mosques/masjids that may be located in either San Giovanni or the smaller localities surrounding it. If there are none, and if possible, the Ministry requests the construction of two small prayer rooms in the embassy, segregated by gender as is the traditional custom in Islam. After studying abroad in Europe, she returned to the Emirate in 2015, but was not officially appointed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs until 2019, although the Emirah had ascended to the throne the year prior. (The Emirah, at the time, was in the process of completing her postgraduate studies in South Korea, and was the de jure, but yet uncrowned, ruler of the country.) Previously, she served as a Cultural Attaché at the Emirate's embassy in Paris, France from February of 2020 - mid March of 2021, and as Second Secretary to the appointed Safir (Ambassador) to Egypt from late March of 2021 - early April of 2022. She claims both French and Arabic (the latter including Gulf and Darija dialects) as her native tongue, and speaks fluent English, Italian, and Egyptian Arabic (Masri).
