OOC: Hey there, this thread is less of a cohesive factbook and more of a general thread for the development of Catsferns lore. Pretty much i'll just be leaving all my different ideas and any developments on them here then you all can give me your thoughts on them if you want. Most posts here will be OOC, and not everything i put here will be integrated into Catsfernian lore. OOC questions about possible lore developments are welcome, and so are comments or OOC questions on pre-existing lore. Please direct IC questions to the Catsfernian Q n A I'll link below. That being said expect a dump of possible ideas soon.

If you're looking at that map you're probably noticing that a lot of Islands belong to Catsfern. I plan on having those as half colonies half navy bases or just naval colonies governed by the national government.

also im working on designing flags for all the other nations too.

alright it's been a hot minute since iv had something to put in here but I have a bit of an idea.

Currently the historical explanation for how Catsfern came to be is that the mongol empire happened, then a historical grey area, then boom the modern age, thats mostly because I havent had the time to think about a semi realistic history for it. Im going to start working on that today.

What i'm thinking is after the mongols happen then the black death happens like normal, but it hits the world a lot harder, especially Europe where like 90% of the people die in some areas and a lot of it re-tribalises. A few areas still have large population centers though, and all of them want to sort of recreate their own mongol empire, so as history goes on the major population centers start spreading their influence all over the world conquering more and more land until we reach modern times where most countries are massive, and the ones that aren't were formed by treaties between to big ones.

Feel free to give me your thoughts.

If anyone is good at writing fictional histories then id appreciate any advice.

alright the few possible major population centers would probably be iceolated enough to avoid most of the disease but in contact with the rest of the world enough to take over a lot of it once they knew it was week, so for instance the one that went on to become Catsfern would probably be on Britain of in Scandinavia, and the one that would become Diaugo would probably be on japan.

As far as the Americas are concerned i think that the inca empire would remain strong for a while before explorers from ill say an early catsfern (For now) come over and do the whole guns germs and steel thing, but they had a lot more time because of the plague hitting harder so the battles become a lot bloodier, then nations try to colonize the Americas, but give up on that after a while because there's too much resources going into it. A lot of larger nations would pretty much get together and sign a treaty all abandoning their colonies and granting them Independence, they they would just kinda do their own thing.

same sort of thing for Australia as well

Alright Iv had another idea A GREAT WAR. or rather the great war a 10 year conflict that completely changes the political atmysphere and leads to the current status quoe.

soI finally go around to updating the wiki, It now includes a better bio for all of President Edens family as well as has an actual description for scylla in the Demi humas page. god it took me a while to actually update those pages.
