HISTORY

The start of Seperated Vermont was a period during the American Revolution, when Vermont was not considered a Colony or State. Ethan Allen, the first Prime Minister of Seperated Vermont, gave the Americans an ultimatum:

Give Vermont Statehood, or they would join the British.

Well, it didnt work out and thus Vermont became its own, unchallenged entity after the American Revolution.

Marriage

Marriage is another foreign concept to Vermonters, as the people tend to love and have equal parts in the relationship as they please, rather than obedience to a deity and restriction in their personal lives. However, people do get married or have civil unions. But the government keeps out of people's relationships and sexual lives.

Speaking of that, nearly the entire populace finds it ill advised to restrict yourself from natural activities as you grow older.
