And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. Subjects taught in Akatori fall into one of three categories: combat, infiltration, or sorcery.

The first are taught in boot camps, maintained as much for the pleasure of the Crown Knights who run them as for the benefit of their students. Most students are cultists who wish to have a better chance of survival on the battlefield. A few are other Crown Knights who wish to learn specialized skills, such as operation of vehicles, or advanced close combat skills.

The second are taught at the Academy of Intrigue. Graduates are used to infiltrate Imperial society, seeding cults in places of power, especially the Imperial Guard.

The third are taught in covens, and are very hard to get into. Doing so binds you to a sorceror-lord, but you gain prestige from this.

My nation is not like my nation page at all, it contradicts itself, we don't EVER eat kangaroos, that's just very sad. Also vegetarianism is compulsory yet it still says it's the nation's favourite main course and all and stuff.

The education system of Klaed focuses on three broad categories, becoming more specific as the child gets older. These areas are Language, Reasoning, and Social Sciences. While not taught specifically until the later grades, technology is included in nearly every subject, firmly embedding a strong technological background into our students as they progress through school.

Klae children begin school at age 3.

At ages 3-4 there are two subjects taught:
Language
Reasoning

Next comes Kindergarten through 2nd grade (ages 5-7):

Language
English Literature
English Composition
Reasoning
Mathematics
Science
Social Sciences

Then in 3rd through 5th grade (ages 8-10):
Language
English Literature
English Composition
Reasoning
Mathematics
Science
Life Science
Physical Science
Social Sciences
History
Etiquette

Then 6th through 8th grade (ages 11-13)
Language
English Literature
Modern English Literature
Classic Engish Literature
English Composition
Research Composition
Persuasive Composition
Narrative Composition
Reasoning
Mathematics
6 - Algebra
7 - Geometry/Trigonometry
8 - Calculus
Science
Life Science
Biology
Anatomy
Genetics
Physical Science
Chemistry
Physics
Advanced Critical Thinking
Social Sciences
History
History by period
Etiquette
Foreign Cultures
Foreign Languages
Diplomacy

Entering into highschool (ages 14-17) the range of specification becomes too tedious to write down, with the students choosing their path based on their skills and desire to learn.

Wood Construction Studies (Woodwork and Technical Graphics)
Technical Design Graphics (Woodwork and Technical Graphics)
Metal Construction Studies (Metalwork and Technology)
Technology (Metalwork and Technology)
Musical Studies (Music)
Artistic Studies (Art)

Junior Cert is sat at the end of Middle School. Senior Cert at the end of High School. Primary teachers teach all subjects and pupils keep the same teacher throughout the school day. Middle School (MS) teachers teach 3 subjects which they choose when they train to become a teacher. High School (HS) teachers teach 4 subjects.
Children go to Primary School at 4 and start off in junior kindergarten. The table works as follows:
Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten, 1st Class, 2nd Class, 3rd Class, 4th Class and 5th Class.
They then go on to Middle school: 1st Year, 2nd Year, 3rd Year and 4th Year. They then sit their Junior Cert and then they are no longer obliged to attend school. Their results arent relevant in finding a place as the results arent released until October.
In High School they go from: Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3.

This system the Paxman system was introduced by the Northly Govt in 1940. It is so called due to the fact that the Minister of Education at the time was Felix Paxman, one of the system's biggest proponents. It was Denmanath's first federal education system as until then education was the responsiblity of the Duchies. It was proposed in 1938 but wasnt implemented until 1940 due to the fact that the duchies needed to switch over.

There are a few (less than 20) private Middle and High Schools, they are prestigious and have astronomical fees, they are classed as commercial-educational enterprises and require a licence. They must follow the curriculum. They recieve govt funding and their profits are not taxed. They are associated with the Universities Greater
They have huge campuses usually semi-rural in location and all have a Middle and a High school.

Uninversities Greater number 4 in total and are the most presigious. They are not under govt control but they do receive govt funding from the ministry, they charge tuition and registration fees and admit whom they wish.

Universities or Universities Minor (Universities Vulgarum as they are sometimes snobbishly reffered to) are less prestigious but have more places, a wider selection of courses (mostly in the Arts excl. language) and are govt funded. They charge registration fees but no tuition fees and are under Duchy control. The Duchy sets the fees, chooses the management and is the charter granter. There are 26 in total at present

At age 7 children are required to pass an IQ test (parents school thier children untill then) if the child gets a score of 156 then they are allowed to move on to science & culture school.
If they do not reach this mark they will be automatically placed in a military school where they will earn the right to fight in the Acycian Military for 20 years.
If thier IQ is below 85 they are executed via Zyklon B, as are immigrants and government offenders.

We have no required subjects. Students, in the name of freedom, may choose studies which are meaningful for them, to provide maximum enlightenment. This is the only fair method, instead of demanding they study things which hold no meaning for them. We also reject the idea of "tests", as this does nothing but detract from the learning experience.
BRIQUE ISLAND FACTBOOK

A note to coffee snobs everywhere - Do we applaud fair-trade, sustainable farmed, shade-grown joe? Sure. Why not? But when we sit down to a cup of coffee in the morning, we are not particularly interested in the blueberry, caramel, or tomato soup nuances a dedicated roaster can coax out of a bean, nor in the intricate ballet of the four-minute pour-over or the Eva Solo flagon. We want coffee that tastes like coffee, and we want it now.
