What kind of Youtubers are there in your nation? How many subscribers do they have? And what is their content?

Youtube is not particularly big in the Roman Empire, mostly because Google has run afoul of the Senate. Regardless, there are plenty of people who use the service, and many who use it to upload content to the platform, primarily to further reach an international audience.

That in mind, the content is mostly no different than anywhere else, from what amounts of home videos, lets plays, music, or even straight up ripping stuff and re uploading.

While TurtleShroom is on its way to reintroducing the Internet into the country, it is not yet in place. When it's done, the viewership of Youtube will become a hot button topic due to its abundance of obscenity, cursing, and God knows what else.

Thankfully, the Google has entered into premature talks with the imperial government already! Early talks with the Google have yielded great fruit for a company that purports to be so hard-left. The Google has clearly demonstrated its willingness to aid foreign censors that suppress political dissent, and much to the shock and the pleasure of the Board of Censors, they were more than happy to aid TurtleShroom. You'd be amazed what the Google will do for money.

With the moral content issue in the works of being solved, the next issue is infrastructure. Reintroduction of the Internet into TurtleShroom means that TurtleShroom, and specifically, the Board of Censors, will be designing all Internet backbones. This task has allowed TurtleShroom to control Internet traffic and monitor it as tightly as it can, with tens of thousands of exit points and surveillance to block out pornography. As the Internet backbone was built by the Board of Censors for ease of monitoring, it makes the Great Firewall of China look tame in comparison. No porn shall pass!

This Internet runs on dial-up. In a world where most game streams record their computer through a VCR and distribute the VHS, that makes Youtube hard to enjoy because of the download times.
