Do human rights laws apply to women?: Absolutely.

Other relevant policies and/or laws: Law of Modesty - women are to wear relevant feminine clothing such as modest dresses, pants, knee-length skirts, jackets, etc. Men are also expected to dress their best, so there is no double standard. Premarital sex is a felony crime, pornography is declared an illegal drug, and a heteronormative method of life and education is taught to children. Thus, women are not allowed to be sexually free or dress outside of strict prudency or gender roles, but at the same time-- men aren't either. This is namely for religious reasons than anything discriminatory.

Does your nation support chivalry towards women? In theory, yes

Does your nation support gender equality? No

Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?: Women are not allowed to serve as politicians, senior military officers, military combat soldiers, corporate executives, doctors, lawyers, judges, or other "unfeminine" jobs, and are not alowed to vote. In most regions, they are also not allowed to drink, smoke, or own guns. Many regions also don’t allow them to drive or own land.

Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they): Men who have served conscription are required to own guns

Do human rights laws apply to women?: There are no human rights laws
Other relevant policies and/or laws: No state recognised church allows women to serve as a pastor, and there is also national and regional dress codes, which in practice are more restrictive on women than men.

Sex crimes are dealt with in a weird and really medieval way. Between unmarried men and women, rape is usually prosecuted as fornication. In this situation, the woman is often pressured to marry the man as the law won’t sentence you to jail. Otherwise, both parties receive up to ten years in a labour camp or jail. If either person is married, then it is adultery, which usually carries the death penalty for both people. If the husband of a married woman or the father of an unmarried woman testifies to protect the woman, the woman can escape punishment, but the man will often be convicted of robbery instead, and will rarely go to jail for more than two years. Homosexual rape is prosecuted under anti-sodomy legislation, and both parties will receive harsh sentences, including death. Woman on man rape statistics are unknown or unreliable as a man can simply accuse the woman of adultery or fornication regardless of if the woman raped him. Marital rape is not even a crime, nor is domestic violence. Sentences for regular assault largely depend on the social status of the families rather than the gender of the victim.

This nation is neither dystopian nor utopian; rather, a mix between idealist policy-making with ruthlessly-pragmatic enforcement thereof. "The Order of H Light" is an alt account of mine that plays out as a more straightforward dystopia/false utopia.

However, my IRL political views are admittedly very weird and may intersect with this nation in more ways/less ways then I care to admit.

has your nation ever had a female head of state: Yes, we have been ruled by Queens for many centuries, although the last to not be a figurehead was Queen Amber over two centuries ago.
Has your nation ever had a female head of government: Yes in the days of the monarchy, and in the 1950s we had a female President of the Central Committee, Boudicca, who served three terms before getting voted out after she tried to take away the homes of those with dementia.
Percentage of women in the population: Roughly 50%
Percentage of women in...
Senior military officers: 1%
School headteachers/principals: 37%
Legislature or equivalent:40%
Judges: 10%
Police officers: 25%
Cabinet ministers: 25%
Senior academics: 17%
Religious leaders: 11% in Megatronism, 50% in Ponyism, in the other religions it varies from 33% in Christianity, to 0% in Islam.
Lawyers: 33%
Doctors: 45%
CEOs:Roughly 33%
Major landowners: 30%

Percentage of women in the prison population: 1% of those on Death Row and 17% in general.

Percentage of women amongst victims of murder: 57%

Percentage of women amongst victim of sexual crime: 85% of reported rapes and sexual assaults'-but some men may be too embarrassed to report it if they have been sexually attacked.

Are the punishments for crimes with predominantly female victims less severe than the punishment for other crimes of similar harm and blameworthiness?:
average Sentence for violent/sexual crimes with female victims: For 1st degree rape, the death penalty, otherwise the sentence is often 20% higher for picking on someone weaker who can't defend themselves well.
average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with male victims: For 1st degree rape, the death penalty

Does your nation support chivalry towards women? Yes for the most part. As with all nations, the male population has a wide range of views towards women, from women haters to women idolizers, but most are somewhere in between.

Does your nation support gender equality? Legally, not really. Women have full rights to do things like drive, bear arms, shop and vote, but unless their contracts forbid it, women can be made redundant for willingly getting pregnant, and so far, only jobs that involve danger to the women (fire, police, medical-related jobs, bouncers, traffic wardens, security guards, the military, and spies) have equal pay for equal work, along with half a dozen progressive businesses.

Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?: Women can't get their breasts out in most public places.

Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they):

Do human rights laws apply to women?: Yes, although we have sapient life rights laws rather then human rights laws, as we have large populations of sapient ponies and changelings as well as humans and a few aliens too.
Other relevant policies and/or laws: There is a very little used law that means men can be turned into women for certain offences (maybe used once or twice a year) and it's possible in witness protection (more often, maybe 40 times a year or so, normally with the male's consent however.)

Are the punishments for crimes with predominantly female victims less severe than the punishment for other crimes of similar harm and blameworthiness?: Absolutely not.
average Sentence for violent/sexual crimes with female victims: it all depends on the severity of the crime, but for assault the sentence can be anywhere from one year to eight years. Rape can be punished with death.
average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with male victims: Same as above.

Does your nation support chivalry towards women? Absolutely, Oskenia is one of the few countries that has rejected the ideals of progressivism and feminism and has maintained the stance that men should be courteous and respectful to women. You will see far fewer people who identify as LGBTQ+ in Oskenia compared to other western nations because of this, primarily fewer lesbians and bi-sexuals.

Does your nation support gender equality? Yes, for the most part.

Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?: Maternity leave, tax relief on feminine products, government-subsidized female self-defense classes.

Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they): Some Governmental positions, certain careers and jobs, etc.

Has your nation ever had a female head of state:

High Queen Wilhelmina, who reigned from 1935 to 1982.
Has your nation ever had a female head of government:

Yes, with the most recent being Sarabeth Selfridge, who served as First Minister from 2014 to 2019, and as President of the Senate since 2019.

Percentage of women in the population:

50.4%

Percentage of women in...
Senior military officers:

14%. Though women have been permitted to join the armed forces since 1942 (and serve in combat positions since 1996), the military has always been a male-dominated field.
School headteachers/principals:

58%. Women have historically held a majority of positions in schools and universities.
Legislature or equivalent:

44%
Judges:

47%
Police officers:

39.4%. Though women have been allowed to join the police since 1927, it has always been a male-dominated field.
Cabinet ministers:

40%
Senior academics:

55%
Religious leaders:

21%. Religion as a whole is relatively rare (with a majority of the population either atheist or irreligious), but most religions in Barfleur are either overtly or implicitly patriarchical in nature.
Lawyers:

46%
Doctors:

43%
CEOs:

46.2%
Major landowners:

The government does not include sex in homeownership statistics, but as men and women have equal property rights, each sex has around 50% of the land.

Percentage of women in the prison population:

35%

Percentage of women amongst victims of murder:

29%. Most murders (excluding acts of terrorism) are gang-related, and gangs are almost exclusively male, leading to a low percentage of women murdered each year. Paradoxically, as the government fights back against the gang violence tearing apart some of Barfleur's poorer inner cities, the total murder rate is going down, but the percentage of women amongst victims of murder is increasing.

Percentage of women amongst victim of sexual crime:

72%

Are the punishments for crimes with predominantly female victims less severe than the punishment for other crimes of similar harm and blameworthiness?:

When setting punishments, the sex of victims was not taken into account, so as to avoid the implication of one life having more value over another.
Average Sentence for violent/sexual crimes with female victims:

20 years
average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with male victims:

11 years. The reason for the discrepancy is that when a person commits a violent crime against a woman, they generally commit a sexual crime in addition, and are sentenced for both crimes (i.e. x years for assault and y years for rape).
Does your nation support chivalry towards women?

In the sense of politeness, yes, that is generally a good thing towards all people. But no sex is afforded any special privileges or opportunities.

Does your nation support gender equality?

Yes.

Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?:

Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they):

No.

Do human rights laws apply to women?:

Of course.

all genders, races and chordate species have exactly identical rights in cameroi and have always had them. (some reduction or modification of rights exist by neccessity for some agricultural species, insects, and micro-organisms, but these are the only exceptions)

Has your nation ever had a female head of state: our state is headed by a council on which all genders and sapient species are eligable to serve, and yes, it has almost always been a balanced mix of them.
Has your nation ever had a female head of government: there is not distinction here between government and state
Percentage of women in the population: it varies over time to both (all) sides (some of our sapient species have other then two biological genders) but generally stays very close to even.
Percentage of women in...
Senior military officers: all of these reflect the same proportions as the general population.
School headteachers/principals: as above
Legislature or equivalent: as above
Judges: as above
Police officers: as above
Cabinet ministers: as above
Senior academics: as above
Religious leaders: depending on specifics, some beliefs are dominated by female leaders
Lawyers: as with our latent military structure above
Doctors: as above
CEOs: as above, though mostly not aplicable, as there is no direct equivelant to this concept
Major landowners: all land is held publicly though all individuals have right to the privacy and preservation of whatever they construct on it

Percentage of women in the prison population: as with the total population generally

Percentage of women amongst victims of murder: as above

Percentage of women amongst victim of sexual crime: as above

Are the punishments for crimes with predominantly female victims less severe than the punishment for other crimes of similar harm and blameworthiness?: no
average Sentence for violent/sexual crimes with female victims: depends entirely on the specifics of the laws and of the events that took place.
average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with male victims: as above

Does your nation support chivalry towards women? all persons are treated with the same logic regardless of gender or species.

Does your nation support gender equality? we support equality of everything that is niether lunch nor an infectious disease.

Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?:no

Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they): No

Do human rights laws apply to women?: sentient rights apply to all sentients and sapient beings.
