- OOC: Since map-making is a pretty hefty undertaking, this thread might take a while to be updated. But, there are definitely more maps to come! (I'm a bit of a cartography/design geek as you can tell).
The Royal Elvectican Cartography Guild
- The Elvectican Cartography Guild is the largest geography association in Etherea, using the most modern and sophisticated magic-conjuring/alchemy-based technologies to produce high-quality images of Etherea and East Lebuknia proper. The Guild is famous worldwide for its quality so much so, that many monarchs and leaders of the world rely on the Cartography Guild for their daily updates to borders, lands, and even sometimes, geological activities. The Cartography Guild works hand in hand with the Royal Meteorology Guild of East Lebuknia to produce weather reports for many newspapers and MIC-ray broadcasts alike.
This forum factbook's purpose is to highlight some of the most famous maps and well-sought out globes that the guild has to offer.
- Found in many schoolrooms, stores, and on patriots' walls, the map of the Continental Elvectican Realms is arguably the most popular among Elvecticans. Some say even the Queen Herself has a copy of it hanging on Her very bedroom walls - a deeply profound honour it must be - and gazes upon her Realms each day. The Guild is especially proud of this one, as you can tell.
- Another popular map, albeit with a much more simpler design/focus, labels the several colonial dominions under the Elvectican Empire. While the Queen Herself may not have this one hanging on her walls, it does indeed hang on every colonial outpost, ship, and even airship belonging to the empire. Arguably popular amongst the common folk and in first years' schoolrooms.
- This next entry is the acclaimed political map that is popular with politicians and international-relations/political-science students alike; a detailed map of the great powers of the world, their projected power, and their territorial dominions. The map highlights Elvectica's current rise in economic, political, and even social/cultural influence throughout Etherea. Popular with Elvecticans, not so popular with the Helmish.
