Yes, several beliefs are banned including extreme or fundamentalist forms of Christianity (such as those preaching creationism) and Islam (in fact Islam was banned outright until recently) as well as cults like Scientology.

Succinctly, conservatives attempted a coup which was backed by nearly all religious leaders after the DDP began pushing massive overhauls through the legislature.
