Elvecticans get their daily news and political commentary from the most popular news source on the mainland, The Royal Mage. Founded a few decades ago, its main focus of educational and political articles has shifted slightly, and have broadened their scope on topics. From the latest science news to royal infighting, to even celebrity scandals. But what the Royal Mage prides itself on the most, is its world-renowed Royal Mage Reports, (also referred to as dispatches), where reporters detail the struggles, challenges, and daily lives of people of all backgrounds. Whether its a detailed dispatch on the Queen Herself, or a documentary on a small mer-folk village, barely catching up with the rest of the industrialized realms, the Royal Mage will go anywhere, anyhow, to get a story.
Elvectican Inquirer
Meanwhile, the more... eccentric tend to read and watch the Elvectican Inquirer, a vision and MIC ray (magic-induced code) broadcasting network that frequently airs in channels across the realms. Their most infamous, yet widely popular program, is the Public Probe, where hosts discuss and debate the week's headlines and highlights. It has an arguably traditionalist-loyalist leaning view on politics, and is vehemently monarchistic. There have been scandals in the past of leaks regarding the Council of the Crown's influence within the news company, however no legal action nor probe has been authorized yet. Yet with all this aside, you can trust the Inquirer to be truthfully honest in their opinions, with frank articles and juicy headlines.
