Does your nation's government respect its citizens freedom of speech? No.
Are there any limitations on freedom of speech? Primarily hate speech and dissent.
Are citizens allowed to criticize the government and voice their opinions freely without fear of government retribution? No.

Does your nation's constitution protect freedom of speech? Absolutely not. The very notion is ridiculous.

Does your nation's government respect its citizens freedom of speech? There is no such thing for our government to respect.

Are there any limitations on freedom of speech? You must not speak, in any way, against Leader Megatron; our government; our society; our people in general; our cultural belief systems, including but not limited to the concept of Decepticon Supremacy; try to dampen enthusiasm for any wars that we are in, might get into, or have been in; speak in favor of any enemies of the State, individually or severally; speak in favor of any ideologies that are in medium or strong opposition to the Decepticon Way; call Megatronism (the state religion) a scam or otherwise insult it; and the list goes on, and on, and on. Or, tl;dr, like we said before, there IS no freedom of speech.

Are citizens allowed to criticize the government and voice their opinions freely without fear of government retribution? Absolutely not. Our government is not coded out of stupidity - it will not allow anyone to legally try to damage it, whether by speech or by any other method! Saying crap about our government is treason, and you will be melted down for it. We're not about to let culturally corrosive agents undermine us and divide us with their blather!

Does your nation's constitution protect freedom of speech? In practice, free speech is considered as an inalienable right in Nokelon and enshrined within its Basic Law and Criminal Code. Nokelon has no de jure constitution though, due to its status as an absolute monarchy.

Are there any limitations on freedom of speech? There are some minor restrictions, such as laws restricting religions and ideological extremism.

Does your nation's constitution protect freedom of speech? Yes.
Does your nation's government respect its citizens freedom of speech? Yes.
Are there any limitations on freedom of speech? Only under two cases:
- If a person uses his freedom of speech to violate someone's rights, he can be punished through a fair trail; also if a media does the same, a judge can ask to seize edited media or stop broadcasting it until a fair trial has been performed.
- Under state of emergency of state of defence, when freedom of speech can be used to destroy the sovereignty or integrity of the Nation; in this case, the limitation of the freedom of speech must be absolutely justified and delimited.
Are citizens allowed to criticize the government and voice their opinions freely without fear of government retribution?Yes, with the aforesaid limitations.

Does your nation's constitution protect freedom of speech? Despite being a dictatorship (Meritocratic), the government strongly believes the right to free speech is the best way to create the most effective policies in order to remain in power with the support of the people which will provide feedback to the state based on a policy. To see if the policy needs to be removed or modified or replaced by a better policy.
Does your nation's government respect its citizens' freedom of speech? Yes. Freedom of speech is an effective tool to create a truly prosperous society and society where its leaders are special little snowflakes that have temper tantrums when someone compares them to a cartoon bear.
Are there any limitations on freedom of speech? There are no limitations to free speech, hate speech laws are seen as unproductive and designed to protect the unworthy in a society that can't take a joke or constructive feedback. However, if violence was to theoretically occur by people's views, the persons will be punished for the crime and not the ideology.
Are citizens allowed to criticize the government and voice their opinions freely without fear of government retribution? Yes. See above. The Government can take criticism, as our politicians are adults and not children. Aquarian politicians will openly and publicly mock foreign governments that censor those who criticize them. (See China.)

Rapture City

  • In the underwater city, two roles have emerged from the City's ongoing civil war: the City Monitors who defend the peace and the Red Caps who fight against unjust systems. The city's infrastructure is crumbling under its own weight and kinship is snuffed by the paranoia of totalitarianism. Yet the people would be in for a surprise as their virtual overlord have died many years ago as the oppression continues under his name...
  • Not an 1-1 exact replica of Bioshock lore and Rapture City. Only the city's atmosphere and setting is maintained.

Does your nation's constitution protect freedom of speech?: It does, to the longest extent. However, there's a clause to that stating that if a large part of the population gets affected by a spree mental disorders, every type of gore in particular is censored and banned.
Does your nation's government respect its citizens freedom of speech?: It does, to the longest extent, either by fear the people are too strong, or by actually genuinely respecting the citizens' freedom of speech.
Are there any limitations on freedom of speech?: Only should that clause be accepted to be put into effect, will there ever be limitations on freedom of speech.
Are citizens allowed to criticize the government and voice their opinions freely without fear of government retribution?: Absolutely, but the population generally doesn't do that because they're at least generally happy from the current government.

Does your nation's constitution protect freedom of speech? Yes, the Bill of Rights in the Radictistani constitution guarantees freedom of speech.
Does your nation's government respect its citizens freedom of speech? In general.
Are there any limitations on freedom of speech? Restrictions on speech in Radictistan are based largely on who is speaking rather than what is being said. For instance, "military expression" is regulated much more tightly than just about any other liberal democratic democracy with persons in the various security agencies being purged for making statements that any other government would consider perfectly innocuous. As an OOC aside, Starship Troopers could never, ever, ever, be published in Radictistan.
Are citizens allowed to criticize the government and voice their opinions freely without fear of government retribution? Again, in general. The government has been known to put pressure on speech in non-criminalizing ways, such as by putting economic pressure on publishers and printers.

Does your nation's constitution protect freedom of speech? N/A; The Sovereign Kingdom does not have a Constitution.
Does your nation's government respect its citizens freedom of speech? Yes, there are several laws in place that protect the right to say whatever an Omonrosian thinks-so long as it is not hate speech.
Are there any limitations on freedom of speech? Somewhat; Hate speech, defamation, and 'vehemency' among others are all considered illegal both online and in public and will face a minor fine; though if a major incident (i.e. use of a racist slur or use of inappropriate language in the presence of children, elderly, or respected individuals, etc.) you may face some jail time and/or a hefty fine. If such speech is used in a private area, however, the individual is at the mercy of their peers and what they rule. If the hateful speech is reported in this private space by the owner or legally defined 'leader' of the space, the offender will be charged as if it were public.
Are citizens allowed to criticize the government and voice their opinions freely without fear of government retribution? Yes, so long as it steers clear of the legal definition of hate speech. It is actually smiled upon to criticize the government loudly and publicly so that the government may become aware of the opinions of the people and act accordingly.

Does your nation's constitution protect freedom of speech? No. But than again it does not talk about commoners and their rights at all. The "constitution" is basically just the treaty uniting the 7 duchies that outlines what rights and obligations they have.
Does your nation's government respect its citizens freedom of speech? For the most part. Like, it takes very deliberate effort to get censored.
Are there any limitations on freedom of speech? You aren't allowed to:
1. Spread foreign propaganda.
2. Proselytize a foreign faith.
3. Call for the overthrow, violent or otherwise, of the government.
4. Call for physical harm to any of the higher nobility.
And a few other things all in that vein. And even if you do any of these you won't really get into trouble unless you are persistent and very public about it. It really does take deliberate effort to reach that point.
Are citizens allowed to criticize the government and voice their opinions freely without fear of government retribution? Totally. As long as it's done in a civil and polite manner and you don't call for the overthrow of the government. In fact, when it comes to local officials the dukes will be and historically have been more than happy to take such complaints into account and even replace said officials if they are unpopular.
Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. -There is no official constitution of Synne Industries though it is an unspoken rule that the state not interfere with the freedom of speech.
Does your nation's government respect its citizens freedom of speech?
-Yes, and it's not like the government can do much about restricting free speech anyways.
Are there any limitations on freedom of speech?
-Just a few minor regulations on heavily guarded military stuff and some other common sense-based restrictions.
Are citizens allowed to criticize the government and voice their opinions freely without fear of government retribution?
-Of course, in either a nonviolent or violent way. Either way the message is getting through.

Does it not make far more sense to lull your dissidents into a false sense of security by allowing them to speak and even gather against the government which doubles as a good way for them to reveal them self as traitors so that they can be disposed of later on other charges? Like say getting sent on a particularly dangerous raid that just so happens to have very bad Intel or being shot by a vigilante that supports your government etc.
