Why is your nation seeking to join the Defense Partner Program? Since the approval of the Second Constitution in 1975, opening a new age in Nanako's external politics, the Nanakian Armed Forces lost thier offensive mission, transfering to the NSDF.
The NSDF main missions had for main tasks peacekeeping missions and civilian support. The turn of the XXIth century saw the arrival of newer warfare tactics, needing no practical battleground. Terrorism scattered all around the globe. In 2006, positions of the Nanakian Government towards a pro-russian movement in a neighboring country, led to a pro-russian terror attack on sovereign territory. Moreover, the tension caused by Chinese militarism and North Korean diplomatic aggressions led to an increase of the military budget spending in late 2006. Eventually, the parliament decided to modify article 23 of the constitution and allow the NSDF to participate in joint coalitions against terrorist groups or unrecognized terrorist states. Most recently, the NSDF saw action in fighting ISIS and russian-backed guerillas in a neighboring country in which the NSDF was previously peacekeeping.

But still, despite being a super developed and modern, highly skilled and trained military, the Army lacks numbers to even think about defending themselves against Russia or China, thus, the government seeks allies all around the world.

Among current allies of the Nanakian miliatry (in Real universe) you may find Australia, Japan, New-Zealand, Canada, France-UK-USA and NATO (not part of but active participant) and most recently India.

i. Training context
This joint exercise is designed to be a brigade scaled live fire exercise in realistic combat simulation. It is made every year under the acronym AAWaRE. We propose it today in a different version suiting for joint operations. The exercise will be comprising a role-play element to give context to the exercise. Two teams will oppose during a 5 week exercise : the defense forces (BLUFOR) of fictional sovereign island of Kuteka and invading forces. The defense forces will be portrayed, in accordination with our military policies, by a joint team of the 5th brigade (NGSDF - 2nd Division) and the Ibican brigade-size troop of your choice. The enemy (REDFOR) force will be portrayed by a reserve brigade, commanded by army cadets officers and regular officers.
The BLUFOR forces will be supported by the 255 Air Service Squadron and the 43 Attack Squadron, a mechanized anti-air detachment, an engineering company and a special platoon of instructors form the Nanakian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (NAAWC).

The NASDF (NAirSDF) will also attach the 131/77 Fighter Squadron and a transport squadron. The NNSDF (NNavalSDF) will support with 1 submarine, 1 frigate and 4 coastal crafts. Amphibious landing vehicles will be supplied by the 1st Mechanized Brigade. It was planned that the HMNS Inaba (LHD) would participate in the exercise, but an accident damaged the hull and is now being repaired, the repair works may not be finished in time.

ii - Objectives of the training
Due to the sub-arctic positioning of the Islands on which the exercise will happen, the primary aim of this exercise is the teaching of arctic warfare tactics. Moreover, it is programmed that amphibious and air assault tactics will be covered in the exercise. Also, this exercise will enable our two militaries to share strategies and cooperate in establishing and proceeding through objectives. The two chapters of the exercise will contain two types of warfare, one where the defender has the intelligence advantage, and one where it does not. Thus, intelligence and recon techniques will be covered too. Furthermore, the second chapter will showcase the importance of logistics, and how to survive when logistics can not operate. To sum up, the exercise, in addition with all the regular objectives such has combat effectivness, tactical learning or combined arms, will also cover arctic warfare, amphibious and air assaults, intelligence gathering, reconaissace and survival in hostile enviroments.

iii - Exercise contents

First part
The NSDF Task Force 1st Battalion, acting has the Kuteka Armed Forces will be deployed in the fictional city of Karreteki and surrounding vicinities on Bravo Island. They will have to defend against several attempts of incursions of REDFOR for two days. On day two, a joint air assault of Ibican and NSDF troops will reinforce previous troops. The two first weeks will consist of defensive missions with cqb training and urban warfare, as well has patrols and prehentive understanding of enemy tactics. The third week will showcase a counter attack in full force from BLUFOR, showcasing HALO drops, forward strikes, mine clearing and compound clearing.

Second part
The fourth and fifth week will consist of the liberation from REDFOR entrenched positions of the second island and the fictional city of Katanga. The first day will be performed spec-ops scaled sabotage and recon operations to gather intelligence on REDFOR, day two will prepare assault and day three will consist of large scale combined amphibious assault (if no early sea ice). The first week of assault will showcase readiness to lack of supplies and last week large scale operations, and spec-ops special objectives. Exercise should end by BLUFOR victory, unless critical failure from BLUFOR joint command as the training progresses.

We believe it would also be an opportunity to showcase the new Aegis Aerodynamics A-18 carrier variant used by the Ibican Navy and Marine Corps.

Dear Admiral Paul,

Thank you for your offer for aircraft of the Royal Serpens Land Navy to train with the Ibican Navy. Aircraft from 100 Naval Air Squadron, and 127 Naval Air Squadron will be immediately flown to Ibica after a short stop in Reino do Brazil. Along with aircraft, it has been decided that we shall send two of our frigates HMSLS Gardener, and HMSLS Dyer to get a chance to train alongside aircraft carriers.
