Universal Basic Income within the Holy Kingdom does not exist, as the Monarchy believes, after significant research, that it disincentives people from working, thus harming our economy. However, we do offer a form of welfare for those of whom are physically, mentally, and economically unable to work. With that welfare program, citizens are rewarded $1,200 a month for six months, assuming that they will be able to find a job within that time period. Extensions are granted to those of whom qualify for the extension.

There is no UBI in the People's Republic. Instead, we provide Universal Basic Services which all residents of our nation are entitled to. Those wishing to obtain a higher standard of living must find gainful employment serving the public good, which the vast majority of people do. Additionally, the elderly (85+), parents of minors, and the disabled are eligible for state subsidies

There is no UBI in Pooshland - it would harm our economy (discouraging people from working, and we would also have to raise our taxes).

A UBI system was enacted by the Labour-LibDem government in 2014. Under it, all citizens aged between 18 and 65 receive an additional monthly income of 1000€ in addition to whatever income they would earn normally. Citizens aged older than 65 (the mandatory retirement age) receive a 1500€ monthly income from the government.

Ru does not have the universal basic income. The opinion of our government is that a fair minimum wage for those who can work, and an effective welfare system for those who can't, will take care of the necessities of our most vulnerable citizens. The UBI would be seen as a rather extreme progressive idea in Ru.
A civilization with an over 3,000 year history of lizard people killing each other and enslaving everyone else. Now they've finally calmed down and formed a modern westernized constitutional monarchy. (long live Emperor Yoshio!)

Note: Any factbook entries over a year old are severely out of date and may be subject to extreme revision and retconning soon. If you have questions on anything about Ru, please feel free to ask.

The aristocracy and government have tested both UBI and NIT (Negative Income Tax) over the years, and prefer the latter...due to the fact that UBI is an inferior system with prettier packaging. As a 3000+ year old society, we cannot afford pretty packages.

Although Ceroem has an established welfare system with unemployment benefits and laws on the minimum wage, there is no Universal Basic Income in Ceroem. However, the pro-UBI Reform/Democratic Union Alliance has earned many votes off the back of their support for a trial of a basic income in large cities in Ceroem, and promises that if that was successful that the programme would be extended nationwide. However, a rising number of people have begun to support the idea of a Negative Income Tax, which is advocated by both members of the government and opposition parties.

We have a simple system , you work. People who deserve nothing , shall get nothing. For those who have gotten nothing out of their own choices it isn't our fault. For those who have made impacts due to some larger power , we shall give them restitute. For those who done nothing and have implicitly wish to do nothing , their shall be nothing. For those who can do nothing for themselves we shall help them if possible

All citizens of Apiary One are employed by the state in communal farms and factories, and are paid a flat allowance in return. Party members have salaries.
