Frémont F.D. to host the Pan-American Summit

September 4, 1951 -- The Americans remain divided. Promises of American stability and unity are consistently trashed by transgressions between all four American nations. The ‘Big Three’; the United States, Federal States, and Confederate States, all claim to be the true American nation. The Americans remain almost completely isolated from world affairs but compete and scheme against each other. However, the era of the Great War and mini-skirmishes fought between each power is coming to a close. All of the American governments have agreed to meet in one location for protracted discourse at the beginning of the new year. Many agree this is an event long overdue.

Spearheading the event is the Federal States Government. Frémont F.D. has been designated as the meeting place. The Foreign Office has released a preliminary list of talking points at the Pan-American Summit.

War on the Horizon: Tensions Hot between Federal States and Imperial Mexico

September 9, 1951 -- Early on the 8th, Chihuahua Federal Guard troops conducting routine security patrols and Mexican Imperial Army forces fought a brief but intense firefight along the Chihuahua-Durango border. The firefight escalated when Mexican artillery were fired against the Federal Guard inflicting some severe casualties. Soon after the fighting stopped and both armed forces moved to reinforce their positions. Reportedly, Mexican heavy armor has been moved towards the border.

The Office of the President and Foreign Office have both confirmed the leadership of the Federal Government and the Mexican Imperial Government are in regular contact. However, there has been no indication as to the direction of their conversation. Many political analysts believe this could potentially be a prelude to war citing the sudden firefight, partial mobilization of further Mexican troops, and the non-existence of a joint-declaration between the two government calling for peacefulness. This could easily explode into a major armed conflict and spell disaster for both nations. However, ‘imperial’ ambition could outweigh the immediate negative effects. Hopefully this is not the case and this rare violent episode can pass.

Germany pledges support for Mexico

A skirmish has recently occurred on the border between the Empire of Mexico and the Federal States of Western America, and war seems around the corner. The new German Government, which only took office a week ago, have been faced with their first challenge this four year term. Chancellor Adenauer today made a joint statement with the Mexican Ambassador to Germany, after two hours of talks between the two, saying that the skirmish was an act of aggression composed by the Western American Army, on the peaceful freedom loving land of Mexico. Therefore, the German Empire will support it's old ally, the Mexican Empire in this conflict, diplomatically, and also it will send supplies to the Imperial Forces of Mexico.

The first convoy has left for the Port of Heroica Veracruz, Mexico, from Wilhelmshaven, North West Germany. It is made up of Merchant Navy vessels, packed with supplies, such as MP44s, and deassembled Panzer V Tanks, which can be built quickly and easily one in Mexico. The convoy is escorted by Kreigsmarine Destroyers, to defend it from possible strikes off the Gulf of Mexico. This will be the first of many convoys from Germany to Mexico, for however long this conflict lasts...

FAMINE STRIKES OUR GLORIOUS REPUBLIC!

Yesterday, while it was still early in the morning, thousands of civilians that went to the market noticed a shortage of food. After some self-investigation by a random man, it was discovered that farms all across the country had been unable to grow any substantial amount of crops for the yearly harvest. The Government has since declared a state of emergency, saying that rations will be delivered to the populace by the government themselves. However, many have noticed that Vodjovdina has been fine when it comes to food, with plenty to spare. However, the people should know that the government has it all under control, and, while this will likely be the cause of many lives to end, Serbia will survive! Glory to Serbia and her people!

In other news, former civil war general questions if he fought on the right side, the population in the northern border's new favorite vacation spot is Hungary, and a local animal shelter in Belgrade was forced to close due to the recent famine.

THE NORTHERN THREAT

Upon hearing of the Mongolian expansion into Sinkiang, Li Zongren responded in a interview that this is a sign to the rest of China, and all of Asia, that the Mongolian threat is planning on coming back, and this time, they have the power of the Soviets on their side. "If Mongolia decides to continue their expansions, then Guangxi must be ready for anything. We must find an ally, and find one fast.". Li Zongren was visibly concerned at this point, "While Germany is the obvious choice, we should look for other options, due to the fact of simply staying in contact with Germany will be troubling. The distance between Guangxi and Germany will lead to complications, however, Japan is much closer, and, while not as strong, likely preparing for soviet invasion.". If what Zongren is saying is true, then we must move to ally ourselves with Japan, and make sure that Guangxi and the entirety of China doesn't fall to communism.

RELATIONS WITH YUNNAN

Even though Guangxi and Yunnan are neighboring countries, it's clear that their relations have been going sour recently. Li Zongren himself even stated in a interview that he fears an invasion from Yunnan, and if Guangxi wishes for it's survival, they must strike first. While the people to the east don't quite support any invasion, the west fully supports it, saying that it would be for the best of Guangxi's intentions. However, Yunnan ambassadors have denied all rumors of Yunnan planning any invasions, and that they should focus on attempting to raise the relations, and maybe even form a military alliance. Even if the rumors were true, it is unlikely that anything good is in the future between Yunnan and Guangxi, let's just hope that war isn't in fates, or anyones favor.

A Yunnan Ambassador's home was broken into yesterday, graffiti was sprayed all over the walls, demanding that the Ambassador leaves Guangxi or face death from god. A public protest was held demanding that relations must be raised between Yunnan and Guangxi. Finally, a local animal shelter was closed down due to the owner being charged with animal cruelty.

Today an Inside from Dublin Castle has Informed the Irish Independent that the High King is currently in Critical condition, Crown Prince Proinsias, Ó Burkhard who has been spending time with his cousins and uncles in Germany has returned to Ireland to spend what could potentially be his father's final hours on Earth.

High King Brian II Ó Burkhard also known by his birth name of Prince Joachim von Hohenzollern, Prince of Prussia is the Fifth Son of the German Emperor Wilhelm II and one of only two surviving sons of the Emperor he was proclaimed High King of Ireland on the Ancient Hill of Tara in the year 1919 after the accepting the crown from the provisional government of Ireland.

MARCH IN SOMBOR

Four days ago, a march was held in the City of Sombor by a party which has mostly gone unnoticed until now. The leader march was Identified as Zivko Spiridon, who has been confirmed to be the current leader of the Nationalist party. After a interview with Zivko, the party's name was revealed to be "Ujedinjeni srpski nacionalisti" (United Serbian Nationalists). Through the Interview with Zivko, we managed to learn that the main goal of the party is to eventually unite the two Serbias. This, seemingly, is likely why the party has been growing slowly in popularity. However, after the march, the party has surged in popularity, However, they're nowhere near the popularity of the Loyalist party. The king himself has even made a comment about the march, saying "While I have my suspicions of Zivko, I'll be willing to allow his marches. So long as he and his followers don't cause any trouble, then his marches will be allowed.". Zivko responded with a promise to keep those in the U.S.N. in line.

In other news, A region wide survey has shown that 58.3% of the population identify as Loyalists, 31.7% identify as Nationalists, 8.4% as Democrats, and 1.6% as others. A secret communist gathering was discovered, everyone in the gathering was arrested and awaiting trial.

1951 in a Nutshell

Alas, we have come to the end of another year, 1951. The last year was a grand one, not just for Germany but for the world. In January, our Empire celebrated 80 years of unification. We also managed to end the bloody conflict that the Serbian Civil War was with a deal, to prevent further needless losses on both sides. In September, we had the Reichstag Legislative Elections, which saw the Zentrum and Peoples Proggressives loose seats, while the Social Democrats and Fatherland Party gained, and a new Zentrum lead administration took office. Elsewhere in the world, we saw the evil Communist Soviet Puppet of Mongolia spread their vile ideology to innocent neighboring SInkiang, which resulted in a Polio outbreak - undoubtedly God's revenge on the Mongolian scum. But what definitely this years greatest achievement, was the founding of the World Defence Coalition. This wonderful alliance, crafted by our Chancellor, Konrad Adenauer, is the key to World Peace. All should bow down to the Supreme World Defence Coaltion. Let us and this alliance grow next year, and the next, and the next, and forever...

WHAT IS THE SUPREME SOVIET’S POSITION ON THE CHINESE QUESTION?

The Mongolian actions in the Xinjiang and Tarim Basin region has been subject to heavy criticism in the USSR. Premier Stalin and the Supreme Soviet have both strongly criticized the Mongolian government and questioned its proletarian character. The Supreme Soviet has authorized the use of funds to aid Mao’s army in China, and the issue has been raised of Mao’s position on the Mongolian invasion. Mao has reportedly been opposed to the Mongolian invasion and Mongolia’s continued violations of Communist International policy. The Guangxi state has exploited Mongolian intervention to wage a propaganda war against socialism and the people’s interests in China. At this moment, the USSR formally supports the Chinese Communist Party, and has taken it into consideration that Mongolia did not include them in their peace process with Sinkiang. The Soviet people and Communist International support a united China free of imperialist and capitalist influence - something the Mongolians do not seem to support. Despite the rift in relations with Mongolia, Soviet doctors have still been dispatched to aid in Polio treatment and vaccinations in Mongolian territory.

WHO BENEFITS FROM THE MEXICAN SITUATION?

What is the origin of the Western American dispute with the Mexican Empire? The answer is the same forces that compelled the European states to begin the bloodiest conflict in world history, rivaled only by various Chinese wars and the German-Soviet war of the 1930s in casualty counts. Mexican capital seeks new frontiers to expand as the economic gap left by the United States’ collapse is rapidly filled by the American successor states, Canada, and Mexico. The Soviet Union, while understanding that the West American state is a bourgeois democracy, also understands that the Mexican regime is more hostile to labor and the proletarian class interest than the West American state is. It is highly likely that if West America must wage a defensive war against the Mexican Empire, the USSR will support it. The Soviet Union is opposed to all war waged for Capitalist interests in all parts of the world.

SOVIET ENGINEERS AND SCIENTISTS MAKE LEAPS IN NUCLEAR TECHNOLOGY, EXCEED GERMANS IN KEY AREAS

The Soviet Union is proud to announce the creation of the first electricity generating nuclear reactor in the world outside Moscow. It was formally opened yesterday in a ceremony attended by Joeseph Stalin and notable members of the Central Committee and Supreme Soviet. The reactor symbolizes a technological lead over the Germans in the peaceful application of nuclear energy. Soviet uranium production related to the nuclear program continues to grow, however few government sources will tell where the uranium goes and what it is used for specifically. It is theorized that widespread use of nuclear weapons in wartime could lead to extended and severe environmental damage, an outcome the Germans and Soviets are both wishing to avoid.

THE SERBIA SITUATION

The food problems in South Serbia caused by war and a bad harvest have been rectified for the most part by Soviet food aid. German sanctions on the country have severely damaged the economy of the Southern Serbian Republic, however trade with the growing Soviet economy will likely fill that gap. In collaboration with the Serbian People’s Republic a five year plan is being drafted which will have GOSPLAN fill the roll of German capitalists, who have since fled north. GOSPLAN has also been careful to cultivate economic relations with Romania and Hungary, both of which have seen significant investment by GOSPLAN after trade agreements were finalized.

ELECTIONS FOR PRIME MINISTER BEGIN

Petru Groza has announced that the elections for Romania will soon begin, and, despite everyone's hopes, Petru Groza will not be running for Prime Minister again, and instead will let somebody else take charge. While many parties will attempt to take charge, the two most likely are the R.D.S.P. (Romanian Democratic Socialist Party), and the R.P.C.P. (Romanian People's Communist Party). The R.D.S.P., has yet to nominate a prime minister, due to the surprise that Petru Groza refuses to run again. The R.P.C.P. however, has nominated a prime minister, Gheorghe Cristescu. Due to the fact that the R.D.S.P. hasn't nominated anybody, they'll have exactly 1 week to nominate somebody. If the R.D.S.P doesn't nominate anybody within a week, they won't be allowed to run in the elections. After an Interview with Petru Groza, he revealed that the reason he won't be running is due to a recent falling out with the R.D.S.P.. "They're becoming power hungry and arrogant, why do you think they haven't nominated anybody after I left? They expected me to just be a pawn for them to use, but I won't allow that to happen.". This year will likely be the end of the R.D.S.P.'s reign, and the beginning of another party's reign. The question is, who will be the one to take the opportunity?

Yesterday At A Meeting With His Advisors, A Man Stormed Into The Government Building, Somehow Unoticed, And Shot Nikolai Kalinski, Our Leader, In The Chest. The Man Was Tackled And Arrested And Was Later Sentenced To Death For His Crimes. Kalinski Was Rushed To The Hospital, But He Died By The Time They Got Him In The Building Due To Blood Loss. We Have Lost Our Leader And Someone Will Have To Pay. Power Will Be Moved To A New Leader, Who Is Claiming He Will Be Better Than The Last Man Who Was In Power And Clean Up The Mess He Made Our Country. After The Statement People Are Begining To Think The Assassination Was Staged To Take Nikolai Out Of Power In Order To Make Ourselves Less Barabric and More Civil Which Is Seeming Like A Plausable Theory. Either Way We Hope Our Next Leader Will Be More Beneficial Than The Last.

Protests in Qingdao - Reforms promised

Qingdao - a German Colony - one of our vast empires territories overseas in East Asia. However, recently protests have taken place on the streets of this town, against the Governor's supreme and unchecked authority in the city. Crowds gathered outside the German consulate and the Governors palace, demanding reforms to the 'outdated colonial system'. They were in small numbers at first, but as the hours went on, more and more fellow native Chinese joined them, and eventually on the evening of the first day, they were tens of thousands protesting. The next day, they were joined by even more people, and surrounded the palace. Some younger protesters attempted entry, but were swiftly arrested by the local police. By afternoon, the Governor agreed to meet with the protests leaders, who during a two hour meeting, set out their demands, and after some negotiation, the Governor and the German authority in Qingdao agreed. It was subsequently announced by the Governor, on the balcony of his palace, in front of the protesters, the reforms to be made. Firstly, and most importantly, an elected assembly will be formed, made of eight officials chosen by every man and woman of the colony aged over 21, who's role will be to check the Governors actions, and propose new laws, ect. Moreover, principle positions, such as Mayor and Chief Police Commissioner, will go up for election every five years, at the same time as elections for the assembly. In addition, a Constitution for the colony will be drawn up by the assembly in cooperation with the Governor.

Reforms have been made as a result of the protests, but they may not result in much change to the authority of the Governor within the colony.

MAO LEADS THE FIGHT IN CHINA

Mao Zedong, the Chinese Communist leader who helped sustain the Communist movement in China, announced in the People’s Daily that Communist rebels in central eastern and north eastern China have begun agitation and rebellion against warlords in the area and German occupying forces. For more than forty years now, China has been divided among warlords and despots. The Communist movement, once almost completely defeated, has slowly expanded its network of sympathizers and agitators throughout China and grown to a scale not seen since the 1930s. Communists have already begun protests in Beijing against the Quing pretender government and in Quingdao against German occupation and for self governance. Hong Kong has seen protests and even open distribution of socialist books at times. Smaller Chinese warlords struggling with the Communist movement have attempted to call for reinforcements from allies dealing with communists in their own territory. At points along the Soviet border with China arms and equipment flow to Communist groups. In Japanese occupied Manchuria, Communist agitators have begun to organize demonstrations for unification of CChina under a socialist government. There have also been demonstrations lead by an expanding communist movement under Kim Il Sung in Korea for independence from Japanese rule. To the south of China in Vietnam, the insurgency under Ho Chi Minh has intensified due to a German failure to address exploitative landlordism and a deepening wealth divide between the Vietnamese population and the German colonialists.

Air Force strikes insurrectionists in the East

The Rhodesian campaign to crush the insurrectionist Black Rhodesians in the countryside, where these Nationalist Marxists terrorize the local, innocent agricultural populous has been gaining momentum with a combined strike of confirmed insurrectionist bases, by the Rhodesian Air Force, and their bombers and support fighters. Inch by inch, the traitors of this Republic keep being pushed back to the border of Portuguese Mozambique, slowly tightening their supplies, and their fate. The socialist leaders of these 'Zimbabweans', will be found, captured, and when they surrender, put on trial for their crimes against the Republic. When their campaigns in the east, fail, we will consolidate against them, and destroy their operations which has caused so much heartbreak, so much death, and so much unneeded repercussions for the real Black Rhodesians, by the others of the Republic, for the last 6 years.

Record high food production in the Republic

In the last few years, ever since the heightened security of the agricultural regions of Rhodesia, food production has been growing steadily higher, and a few days ago, the Minister of Agriculture, Calvin Davidson, had declared that the food production for this year has surpassed the best years of production in history, under British rule. He personally said thanks to all of the people who work tirelessly in farms dotting the republic, for bringing Rhodesia into prosperity, and truly giving Rhodesia the reason to hold the mantle of the 'Breadbasket of Africa'. Activists, of both races, have cried that the people who actually do all of the work, are the Black Rhodesians, while the White Rhodesians, 'keep them in line', and force them to work harder, like a form of slavery. The Minister responded to these preposterous allegations, saying that all work equally on every farm, everyone doing the same line of work, no matter the race. Whether it is true or not, this a point of national pride, with more food in store, the Republic can sell more, and make the Rhodesian state, richer.

The Royal Marriage of the Sa'id and Princess of Hejaz

In a few weeks time, an important event for the Muslim world will happen, the royal marriage of the Prince of the Sa'id, Ibrahim al-Awwal, and the daughter of the current Hashemite King of Hejaz, Princess Niesha al-Abdullah, in the Ras El Tin Palace, Alexandria. This had finally brought some peace to the region, as for much of the 1940s, the Sultanate of Egypt and Sudan, and the Kingdom of Hejaz, have been vying for power in the Palestinian and Sinai region, even causing some incidental border skirmishes by, or right on the Suez Canal region. This, as it was said by Sultan Farouk himself, would bring some sense of stability in the region, maybe even negotiations about the fate of Sinai, and whether it will fall under Egyptian or Hashemite control. This is an event to remember for the ages in Egypt, Hejaz and the Middle East.

Corruption Scandal - Investigations on the rise

A few days ago, a whistleblower from the Ministry of Defense, revealed a massive corruption scandal with the Minister, his closest partners, and some officers in the military. The government, halted anything associated with the MoD, and the Military, putting the modernization of the Egyptian army on hold, until everything is sorted. The Sultan decreed that the government had full permission to investigate every branch of the Egyptian Military, and the Ministry of Defense. Is this scandal just a piece of a bigger conspiracy, or just one event in the Sultanate?

Princess Niesha Engaged to Prince Ibrahim I

Princess Niesha bint Abdulla I is currently engaged to Prince Ibrahim I of Sa'id, son of Sultan Farouk I. Their wedding will be held in a few weeks in Alexandria. This comes as great news for both Arabia and the Sultanate since the two nations have competed for power in the Sinai and Palestine for many years. The new bond will likely lead to peace in the region and further friendly correspondence between the two countries. King Abdullah I has said that he wishes to increase cooperation between fellow Muslim and Arab nations especially since tension between the German Empire and the Soviet Union is polarizing countries to either side. He wants to protect the Kingdom from revolutionary movements but he is also wary of German imperialism.

Successful Raid on Al-Nahda Hideout in Baghdad

Police successfully raided an Al-Nahda party hideout in Baghdad, arresting seven members and securing documents that may be helpful in further investigations. Although this raid is a significant step in eliminating the group, police have yet to arrest its leading members. The Al-Nahda Party, an Arab socialist and anti-monarchy group headquartered in Baghdad, has been causing trouble in Hashemi Arabia for several years. The party entered the public eye when Mazen Al-Janubi, a member of Al-Nahda, assassinated Sharif Faisal bin Hussein al-Hashemi of Baghdad, King Abdullah I's uncle, in 1950. SInce then, one of Abdullah I's main goals has been to eliminate the party. Socialist ideas such as those espoused by Al-Nahda have spread throughout Arabia and have gained prominence with intellectuals in Iraq and Transjordan. Abdullah I is prepared snuff out all revolutionary movements no matter the cost.

Trans-Arabian Pipeline Completed

The German Arabian Standard Oil Company (GASOC) began constructing the Trans-Arabian Pipeline, spanning from Dammam to Haifa in Palestine, in 1947. It is about 1,500 kilometers long and its daily capacity is 300,000 barrels. The pipeline is expected to greatly increase the efficiency of oil transport. A major innovative success, it will surely help Hashemi Arabia's economy, as well as Palestine's. It will also give the Hashemites an edge over the Saudis in their competition in the oil industry.

Tense situation on the dutch border

After almost a year, no progress has been made about the unlawful dutch occupation of the territories of Dutch Zeeland, North Brabant and Dutch Limburg. Although Mr. Degrelle and our beloved King Léopold III have repeatedly tried to solve the issue through diplomacy, there seems to be no peaceful solution. The Dutch government has refused any negotiations, and no country has even reacted to the many telegrams sent to them to ask for arbitration.
Meanwhile, our catholic brothers are suffering. Several churches have been burned, and many people killed. Of course, the Dutch oppressors have denied most of these events, and have blamed the rest on "belgian agitators", but the Katholieke Broederschap has given us firsthand accounts of the ostracisation of the Catholics and of how bad it has gotten.
Considering how a diplomatic solution is clearly not possible, Mr. Degrelle has decided to prepare for the worst. Our army is currently mobilising along the dutch border, and a telegram has been sent to the german government to inform them that Belgium is ready to take military action if things go on like this.

Germany guarantees Dutch independence

The Belgian Government are threatening to invade the Netherlands, unless they hand over their southern regions, which have always been Dutch, and never Belgian. A spokesperson for the Chancellery has said that "if one Belgian foot steps on Dutch soil, Germany will be forced to intervene as a peacekeeping force, supporting the innocent Netherlands. German troops have gathered on the Belgo German border, in case of a conflict, which may occur any day now. Experts say the total German and Dutch troops that would be mobilised would outnumber the Belgians 3 to 1, and Germany, with much superior tanks, planes, and guns, Belgium would easily be defeated within months. It is hoped that with these facts, Leon Degrelle will give up his warmongering ambitions to take the Southern Netherlands, because otherwise they will be met with the full might of the Imperial Military.

Germany purchases rights to build Panama Canal

Panama, central America, where the Caribbean touches the Pacific... nearly. A narrow stretch of land separates the two. A canal has long been thought of, and many attempts over the years to build it... have failed. In the 1880s, the French attempted to build it, but failed due to financial and logistical issues. In 1912, the British began construction, but in 1914 work was halted as a result of the Great War. After the end of the war in 1919, work was abandoned due to Britain's lack of influence, money and stability. A private German company started design for it in the 1920s, however when the Great Deppression hit, they found they could no longer afford it. But finally, now, the Panama Canal will be built. It is a joint venture between the German Government, and German companies to be built. It will be extremely profitable, with revenue estimated up to 4 times that of the Suez Canal. Once work is complete, the canal and the area around it will become sovereign German soil, and will add to our ever expanding global empire. Many American nations have expressed their concern for Germany's growing influence in the area, and some have even gone so far as to ban ships registered with that country to pass through the canal. But, there is no doubt, this is a wise move by the German government, who look for every opportunity to expand our economy, like they have done with the canal.

Multiple Egyptian Officers and Officials Arrested

After a large amount of investigations, an inconceivable plot was discovered that would've changed the fate of Egypt. It was a plotted coup against the Sultan and his government, which would have enforced a military junta, and a republic. The Free Officers Movement has been discovered, and many of the main traitorous officers of this group have been arrested. The arrested include Major Khaled Mohieddin, Salah Salem, General Abdel Hakim Amer and Lt. Colonel Gamel Abdel Nasser. Even though many of the major officers have been arrested, many have escaped persecution, by fleeing the capital, and other major cities. They are believed to be hiding in more remote parts of Egypt, or have even fled the country. The still wanted are the former Lt. Colonel Anwar El-Sadat, Salah Nasr, Gamal Salem and former Lt. Colonel Zakaria Mohieddin. The government in Cairo calls upon it's neighbours, like the German Empire, the Hashemites and other colonial states to help find these traitors, and bring them back to Egypt, to be brought to justice.

LI ZONGREN OFF TO THE SUMMIT IN MACAU

Li Zongren, our current leader, has publicly announced that he will be attending the summit in Macau, in hopes to make peace with the current main leaders of China, and attempt to make a deal with Yunnan to mend relations. However, he stated that he fears that he might have to choose a side between one of the Three main powerhouses of China, and if he has to choose, he will choose his people over being subjugated. Li Zongren is also aware that most of china is aware of his plans to unite southern china, and that he's not planning on giving up on these plans. "Guangxi is only the beginning on our future, we will unify southern China under a powerful nation to make sure that my people will not suffer under the Qing dictatorship or the Communist Rebels. If I had to, I would die for my people, if it meant we would remain independent from those who wish to oppress us.

YUNNAN AMBASSADOR ARRESTED FOR SUSPECTED MURDER

Six days ago, Police stormed into the house of a Yunnan Ambassador after gaining a warrant for his arrest for suspected murder. A women two houses down from his was found dead after police came since her taxes were due and she hadn't paid. She had 3 stab wounds, one in her leg, one in her chest, and one in her eye. It's suspected that she was stabbed in the leg while trying to escape, then the murderer stabbed her in the chest before finishing her off by stabbing her through the eye. Both the neighbors told the cops that they saw a man with a extremely similar description to the Ambassador enter her house before leaving 17 minutes later and walking off. The Ambassador has yet to confess to anything and pleads that he's innocent. A trial will be held to determine his fate next week. This is simply more proof that Yunnan cannot be trusted, and that we must make sure that they don't attempt anything stupid.

Al-Nahda Infiltrates Military

Colonel Abdul Qadir Nejar of the Army was recently arrested for conspiring with al-Nahda, an Arab socialist opposition party. The Mukhabarat have launched an investigation into the Army and military as a whole to root out any other sympathizers. It was believed that al-Nahda only held significant influence in Baghdad, but Nejar was stationed in Fort Sabil just outside Yanbu. This proves that al-Nahda has infiltrated deeper into Arabian institutions. Investigations into the party have also revealed that it is more than just a loosely organized, isolated group, as previously believed, but rather that it may have a formal structure with powerful connections. For example, the Mukhabarat discovered from the June raid on an al-Nahda hideout in Baghdad that there may well be communications between al-Nahda and Ba'athists in Syria.

Ba'athism and al-Nahda's ideology are very similar, with both originating from the writings of Syrian philosopher Michel Aflaq. Manifestos and retrieved documents have made al-Nahda's beliefs clear. They are first and foremost against the Hashemi monarchy. They accuse the King and royal family, as well as all other monarchs, of being part of a reactionary class and being slaves of the German Empire, which they consider the most repressive nation to ever exist. They also oppose the monarchy for its Islamist laws. A government in their hands would likely be a Leninist one-party state with the goal of progressing the Arab people into a brighter future. Al-Nahda draws heavily from Marx and Lenin but is opposed to the Soviet Union's totalitarianism. Their economic policies would likely lead to the nationalization of German Arabian Standard Oil. Al-Nahda's members are also staunch Arab nationalists who advocate for the creation of a unified Arab state. They believe that Arabs can only progress if they are united, so they hope that Arabs in neighboring Syria and Egypt will also revolt.

King Abdullah I Condemns Egyptian Coup

After extensive investigation, Egyptian authorities discovered plans for a coup against the Sultanate by the Free Officers, a group of Egyptian military officers. The leaders of the group included Major Khaled Mohieddin and Lt. Colonel Gamal Abdel Nasser, who planned on establishing a republic. Many of the traitors have been arrested, but some managed to flee and are likely seeking refuge in foreign nations. Sultan Farouk has asked the leaders of nearby nations, including King Abdullah I, to return any Free Officers who might have fled. Abdullah I has agreed to assist Egypt with capturing and returning all officers who escaped into Arabia. Abdullah I has also condemned the Free Officers and any other group that seeks to undermine the legitimate monarchies of Egypt and Arabia. One must hope that the traitorous thinking of the officers does not spread to Arabia, which already has its own underground opposition parties.
