King Peter found dead!

Yesterday, King Peter was revealed to have been found dead in his room 5 days ago. According to the police, he was shot once in the head, and likely died instantly. Shortly after this was revealed, Loyalists declared this was the final straw, and declared the communists as a national enemy of Serbia and its people. The communists have retaliated, by declaring that Serbian government is corrupt, and must be overthrown. According to the new king, Alexander I, "The communists have been proven to not be trustworthy, and must be crushed. No matter the cost!". Communist militias have formed in southern Serbia, and have declared war on the north. The loyalist party has declared their support for the new king, and have formed their own militias to help the military. To those who are hesitant to fight, know that no matter what, Serbia is going to change, be it for better or worse. God save the king.

Serbian Civil War | Germany offers Volunteer Support

Image

Upon hearing on the death of King Peter of Serbia, by, as it seems, brutal assassination, the Kaiserin Victoria sent her condolences of her and the German people, and wished the new king, Alexander, all the best. However, the new king is, among many of the Serbian people, quite unpopular. This has caused Communists Militias to rise up against the legitimate government, and threaten their sovereignty. Even though these Communists are confused, weak, and inexperienced soldiers, and would be no match against the Serbian Army, the Imperial Government has offered to send Volunteer Forces to it's ally and fellow signatory of the Anti Comintern Pact, under fear that the Communists may be supported by an outside power. "The German Empire will do everything it can, to keep Communism out of the Balkans, and out of Civilised Europe!" an overexcited Chief of General Staff Rommel exclaimed in an interview. Let us hope and pray for the Serbian Government and People at this time...

THE REVOLUTION IN SERBIA

The reactionary monarchist Serbian Government has declared its intention to begin mass killings of anyone accused of being a Communist in response to the assasination of King Peter, which was blamed on the left the moment it was discovered. The circumstances of the assasination are extremely suspicious, with the Serbian Government not even establishing an investigation of any sort into the cause of King Peter’s death which points to the fact that Peter’s son, Alexander, may have had his father killed to assume the throne of Serbia and use his father’s death to remove political opponents from government and society at large. The Communists have responded by assembling militias and taking over areas in Serbia’s South along with other pro-democracy factions. The USSR has announced full support for the Serbian revolutionaries and promised aid. It is assumed that due to Serbia not being bordered by the USSR, aid will need to be smuggled through neighboring countries.

Violence in the streets of Damascus!
February 3rd, 1950

After weeks of protests and counter-protests and riots, the Anti-Vaisilos Movement has finally broken out into violence. Men with pistols and rifles have actively shot at King's Movement counter-protestors, and this lead to Police Forces and Pro-King Militias actively engaging street to street combat with the Anti-Vaisilos Movement. Riot police have been seen utilizing live ammunition to suppress riots after a few of the rioters fired their weapons at police formations. This is taking place across several major cities, and is only now beginning to show the true colors of the Anti-Vaisilos Movement as a mob of violent, anti-Damascian rebels. With time, peace will be restored and the military and Damascian government will have to respond before long.

Damascian Army deployed to restore the peace!
February 26th, 1950
Armored cars, tanks, and infantry have been seen walking down the streets of several major cities, setting up checkpoints, clearing streets, evacuating civilians from areas of particular danger, clearing and securing buildings and engaging with the Anti-Vaisilos Movement rebels. Reports have shown that the military has done its job very efficiently in capturing key buildings, capturing weapon stockpiles and suppressing the rebellion with support from police and King's Movement militias and partisans. King Vaisilos II himself has been seen out on the streets with his soldiers in Damascus giving orders and assuming command of armies in the south to maintain and enforce law and order, even commenting, "It isn't a King's duty to hide in the shadows while his nation is under attack. It is a King's duty to fight and protect the people that reside within his dominion, and that is what I will do to the greatest of my abilities." Law and Order is in the process of being restored.

Peace has been restored. Now what?
March 11th, 1950
As of today, the remaining leaders of the Anti-Vaisilos Movement has officially surrendered and stepped down, and is currently on trial on the charge of treason and are likely to face death by firing squad for their crimes. The violence conducted by said movement has turned the vast majority of the people of Damascus against them, and thus has brought unity to the people of Damascus. At least, for the most part.

Many Turkish people and certain pro-capital movements were indeed involved and openly funding and supporting the Anti-Vaisilos Movement. This has led to a great many of the people of Damascus looking upon them with scorn, and has greatly bolstered support of the National Social Democratic Party and King Vaisilos II on his social and economic stances. King Vaisilos himself stated that it was "absolutely no surprise that Turks are behind this treachery as they always are," accusing a great many of the Turkish leaders of the Anti-Vaisilos Movement to be colluding with the Turkish government and being "Neo-Ottoman Sympathizers." This kind of language will undoubtedly offend the Turkish state and people, however he is far from wrong to say that or to point that out. Mehmed Burakgazi, a prominent leader in the Anti-Vaisilos Movement has openly advocated for a Damascian re-joining of the Turkish Republic and owns land in Turkey, and is likely going to face the penalty of deportation for committing an act of (albeit low-level when compared to the actions of the rest) treason. The impact of this event will have its consequences for the country, but for right now, the violence has ended. It's likely that will be a positive and hopefully things will remain positive.

Romania Allows Soviet Military access

With the recent beginning of the Serbian civil war, the Soviet Union declared full support for the communist revolution, however, there was one big problem before they
could start sending supplies to them. They were cut of via land, and with Serbia being a landlocked country, there was no possible way for the Soviet Union to send
supplies, so they had to ask for help. Two days ago, Petru Groza, the current Prime Minister of Romania, was notified that the Soviet Union had contacted the Romanian
government, asking for their troops to be allowed to pass through, so they could be able to send their troops and supplies to the Communist Serbia. Despite Petru's
political advisers telling him not to allow them access, he granted the Soviet's military access, allowing them to pass through Romania to Serbia.

SERBIA’S RED FLAG

Soviet military intervention in Serbia has begun with the Red Army and Air Force establishing bases in Communist controlled Serbia and beginning air strikes against Serbian Loyalist airbases and ground units. Il-10 bombers have been flying missions against Serbian ground troops while La-9 and Yak-3 fighters protected them and attempted to gain air superiority. The new and very modern Ilyushin Il-28 jet bomber, only put into service a few months ago, has been deployed in Serbia for the first time with high expectations. No Soviet jet powered fighter aircraft have been deployed as of yet, but the new piston engine powered La-11 may be deployed in small numbers. Training programs are being undertaken by the Red Air Force and Red Army to train Serbian Communists in modern warfare, with the hope of turning a loosely organized militia into a professional army. Propaganda leaflets were dropped from Il-28 aircraft over Serbia from high altitude urging workers to fight against the reactionary and corrupt Serbian Loyalist government and instructing them in how to avoid bombing. The first ground offensives against the Serbian Loyalists will begin in the coming days, and are expected to use large numbers of Serbian Communist troops equipped with Soviet weaponry and Red Army troops using sophisticated weapons such as the AK-47 "assault rifle".

Chairman Buck moves to join Comintern!

The Thirty-First Annual convention of the Communist Party of Canada was a far cry from the meeting of trade unionists, war veterans, and curious farmhands that came together in a barn in the Ontarian countryside all those years ago. Then again, Canada itself would be wholly unrecognizable after nearly twenty years of revolutionary progress.

This year's meeting was dominated by the debate between two camps of party members- those who believe in coming forth to take an active role in the international revolution and those who'd rather maintain the status quo and build socialism in relative isolation. Chairman Buck has grown progressively more sympathetic to the former- but keeping with the democratic values of the CPC chose to put the issue to a vote. After long hours of debate in the People's Parliament, the vote was counted 167-98 in favour of entry to the Comintern.

Buck declared this morning that "Canada has, and always shall, stand with our comrades around the world in internationalist brotherhood and revolutionary solidarity"

Baltic Election results

Image

As negotiated by the German Empire and the Soviet Union during the emergency summit at Stockholm, free, democratic elections have taken place in the Baltic States to decide their nations' future. Last night, all election results were announced for each nation to each ones own parliament. They are as follows:
In Estonia:
National Peoples Movement (Independent): 59%
Communist Party (Soviet): 23%
Democratic Party; (German): 12%
Others: 6%

In Latvia:
Communist Party (Soviet): 56%
Christian Democratic Party (German): 31%
Social Democratic Party (Independent): 9%
Others: 4%

And in Lithuania:
Conservative Party (German): 54%
Free Party (Independent): 18%
Communist Party (Soviet): 15%
Others: 13%

Therefore, it seems, Lithuania will remain with a Pro German Government, Latvia with a Pro Soviet, and Estonia with a Pro Nordic. Let us hope the Soviets accept the result, and the crisis will be over, and all future issues will be resolved democratically.

People's Military receives new equipment

Image

The technological ingenuity of the New Canada has taken to the skies, with the CL-13 'Lance' Jet Fighter and the CF-100 'Canuck' Interceptor entering into mass production. The People's Air Force will eventually receive 1,200 and 700 units respectively. Canada's vast size has led to the government seeking a modern way to connect the country, leading to a cutting edge air industry producing aircraft such as the C102 Jet Liner. For their invaluable contributions o the country, the 60,000 workers of the Canadair Enterprise have been rewarded with an additional 5 days of annual leave.

As we've joined with our comrades in the Comintern, we have gained access to weaponry such as the advanced AK-47 rifle. An initial order of 10,000 has been given to the Long Branch Arsenal Enterprise.

Romania pushes towards the Comintern!

With the Serbian civil war raging on, and tensions between the USSR and Germany rising, Petru Groza has publicly announced that Romanian neutrality can never last, saying that if Romania wants to survive, they must choose a side. While it's impossible for Romania to join any alliances with Germany, it is very possible to Romania to join the Comintern, which, by the looks of it, is what they're pushing towards. If Romania does join the Comintern, that would make it the first country in the Balkans to join the Comintern, and the second in all of Europe. However, none of that is possible without the USSR allowing them to join, and until then, only time will tell who the allies and enemies of Romania will be...

Hungary bids for Anti-Comintern Pact!

With the Serbian Crisis more heated than ever, and tensions between the USSR and Germany rising. The two biggest superpowers of the world have a clash of giants, securing any territory that they may have lost in the Serbian war. In response to this shift in power, Mr. Barsi suggests a more reasonable course of action for Hungary would be to join the Anti-Comintern Pact, so as not to destroy the delicate balance of power in the region. If Hungary does join then that would make them the third country in the Balkans to join and seventh in the entirety of Europe. Nonetheless, all that effort will be for nothing if the Germans bar Hungary entrance to the Anti-Comintern Pact. Then and only then will the universe reveal who the allies and enemies of Hungary may be...

KING ALEXANDER AND HIS FAMILY ASSASSINATED!

With Serbia already up in flames, and so far Southern Serbia winning by only a little bit, the North has been left in an extremely unstable position. What they were not prepared for however, was another assassination of another monarch. Earlier today, King Alexander had supposedly gone back to his home, it's here when we suspected the assassination took place, because after a police investigation, it seems that the driver was shot, which caused the car to steer out of control, and end up driving off a cliff. While losing king Alexander was hard enough, what they had found out was truly revealing of what the south is willing to do in order to win. As cops drove to King Alexanders home to notify his family what had happened, they found that his entire family, along with his children, had all been shot to death, leaving no heir to the throne of Serbia. This is truly, Serbia's darkest hour.

Experimentation of New Equipment

Image

With the new industrial boom a few months back it has allowed our industries to experiment with new equipment. We are currently in the planning phases of the VAR-11 Assault Rifle, a close remodel of the AK-47, as well as the MA-01A Handgun. The Army would replace most of the SMG's and Soviet pistols with these new weapons but are expected to be done by 5he beginning of next year.

The air force is also in the works of better propeller powered flight. We haven't developed the jet power as our allies have but untill then we shall only make what we have better with the MA-50 Fighter. It has speeds up to 300 MPH, about the speed of the MS-109, this is a great improvement on our old plane the MA-35 which could only reach 210 MPH.

Canada to deploy forces to Serbia

Image

Canadians have watched for the past month the situation in the Balkans, where the Serbian proletariat, with the aid of the Soviet Union, has battled the forces of German imperialism. Chairman Buck has announced that Canada will take a direct approach in assisting the global revolution- sending the Canadian military into overseas combat for the first time since the Great War- a decision he has not made lightly, given the devastation suffered by the Canadian Expeditionary Force at the hands of the Hun and our uncaring British masters.

The Canadian Balkan Expeditionary Force has been formed, a Corps size formation amounting to two divisions of Mechanized Infantry, one of Light Infantry, and one of Armour, along with attached Artillery and Anti-Air batteries, medical and support units. They shall be supported from the air by two Squadrons of the Lance fighter jet. All in all, around 48,000 men, drawn from the most capable volunteers in both the Regular Force and the People's Militia, have assembled in Halifax for deployment. They will be transported by the Atlantic Fleet to the northern city of Arkhangelsk, then tranported via rail to Serbia.

A civilian unit, the Serbian Relief Association, will also be deployed to provide medical aid and distribute supplies to the Serbian people. A refugee quota of 24,000 has been set, prioritizing women and children.

Belgian troops in Serbia

As all have heard, Serbia is currently torn apart by a bloody communist uprising. Mr. Degrelle, in the spirit of european resistance against communism, has decided to join two of our regiments to the german expeditionary force, which is going to defend the rightful monarchist regime in the north. Among these two regiments are one corps of Chasseurs Ardennais of 2,000 men (light infantry equipped with bicycles, adapted to difficult terrains and asymmetric warfare, which should be ideal to fight the communist militias) and one regiment of regular infantry of 2,800 men, assisted by 72 T15 light tanks. All of them have been equipped with our latest rifle, the SAFN 1949. There had been talks of air wings being sent as well, but we have to admit that our Air Force is no match for the soviet jet planes, and we hope the Germans can beat them at this game.

Catholics persecuted in southern Netherlands

Back in 1830, our people rose against the dutch oppressor, which was trying to impose their degenerate protestant doctrine onto us. We won our independence, but sadly some of our brothers remained under the boot of the vile Calvinists. In Zeeuws-Vlanderen, Noord-Brabant and Dutch Limburg, fellow Catholics are still being discriminated against and harassed. In a speech yesterday, King Léopold III has talked about the dire situation in what should have been northern Belgium, and our Chancellor, Mr. Degrelle, has sent a telegram to the dutch government in which he requested more autonomy for the catholic regions and a possibility for them to elect a catholic government. No response has been received so far.

Czechs Pledge Troops for Serbia
PRAGUE — Bohemia has pledged 8,000 troops to reinforce the German Expeditionary Force in Serbia. Defense minister Otakar Husák confirmed Czech support in a statement issued Tuesday. Bohemia previously condemned the brutal murder of Serbia's King Peter and the attempted communist seizure of power in the country. Speaking back in February, Prime Minister Emil Hácha characterized the ongoing crisis as "the gravest threat to the peace and stability of Europe today". Meanwhile, His Majesty King Maximilian has called for a swift end to hostilities, warning that a protracted conflict in the Balkans has the potential to provoke a second Great War.

After months of bloodshed, the south has become triumphant. Finally ending the Serbian civil war. the new leader, Petar Stambolić, has publicly announced that, "While in the beginning, the odds were stacked against the south, thanks to help from the Soviet Union, the corrupt dictatorship that was the north has finally been destroyed. However, the threat to our new republic is still in danger. The imperialistic Germans will likely invade, so we must work together to make sure that our beautiful republic must survive.". Following this announcement, construction on forts at the borders with Hungary and Bulgaria have begun. Meanwhile, the southern militias are either going back to their former lives, or officially joining the army, to protect their country. Today, the German Empire tested the world's first nuclear bomb, nicknamed 'Wunderwaffe' or Wonder Weapon. The bomb was launched from a station in Greenland named Daneborg on a V2 rocket, and landed on an intended test site approximately 200km North. The explosion is the biggest explosion in the history of the earth, and has the potential to destroy a small city, and an estimated 100,000 people, so could do major damage to any Soviet City, whether it be St Petersberg, Moskau, Minsk, or Tsaritsyn. The radius of total destruction was over 2 miles around the detonation, but could very easily cause major fire or spread further in an urban area. The explosion was observed by a party of German officials on the Battleship, the IMS Bismarck, which included Chancellor Adenauer, Marshal Rommel and her Imperial Highness Princess Frederica. The large mushroom cloud was filmed and photographed by German planes from a carrier in the area, and also from the IMS Bismarck. Our fatherland is the only country to have nuclear weapons, and this way it shall stay. "We have several more nuclear weapons ready for testing or deploying," said Chancellor Adenauer in an interview afterward, "and many more in production. But today, we have made our message clear. The Soviet Union know what's coming to them if they mess with us!"

PETAR PROMISES TO HOLD ELECTIONS!

With reconstruction on many towns and cities is undergoing, the new government is doing it's best to stray away from the corrupt dictatorship that was the Kingdom of Serbia. One thing that the other government lacked was a choice of leadership, which Petar has decided to change. A public announcement was held the following day after this decision, "While we may be lacking in many things, we must make sure that we don't become like the previous Government, so, as a show to the world that we will not be like them, we shall have a national vote on who the leader should be.". While many argue that the government is too new to begin holding elections, most Serbians agree that they must not become like the previous government, and must do their best to become better than it. Whether or not this will work however, is up for debate...

Minister of Army addresses increased Red Army Presence on border

Image

It has become evident that the Red Army has been increasing military presence on the borders of our allies in the Greater German Empire, namely the Kingdom of Lithuania, the Kingdom of Poland, and the Republic of East Galicia. Even though we doubt the Soviets are mobilising a force for an offensive against the Greater German Empire, we can take no chances. Minister of Army, General Kurt von Schleicher, today announced that German military personal on the border will be doubled, and further troops will be reassigned up to 50 miles back. "We can take no chances" said the General, "and if Stalin and his crackpot Bolsheviks do invade our allies, they will be met with fire, and fury. Even though we will not provoke a second Weltkreig, we are more than ready to fight one if need be, for the defense of the Fatherland.

In the same speech, he addressed the common issue of Soviet military aircraft crossing the border, claiming navigational failure. He warned, "If any more Bolshevik military planes enter our, or our allies' airspace, they can expect to be bought down." He also added, "Is it not ironic that Premier Stalin claims that his planes are the best in the world, but their navigation fails so often! Has there ever been one major occurrence of a German plane having navigation failure? Of course not, our aircraft and our aircraft industry is much superior to that of the inferior Soviet Union!"

Protests for independence in Moldova!

A surprising development has begun to form in Romania, as protests for Moldovan independence have begun to appear out of seemingly nowhere. While the protests right now are small, the Romanian government has quickly reacted to the protests, by stating that any chance of Moldova's independence even being considered will wait until the Serbian civil war finally ends. While the protesters aren't happy, they have seemed to understand the circumstances they're in right now, and have stopped protesting. Instead, they have begun to place posters of a party that seemingly, along with the protests, appeared out of nowhere. Some are questioning if the protests were set up by the government, which was quickly debunked due to there being no clear reason why Romania would set up protests for Moldovan independence. While the situation has quickly cooled off, the protesters have stated that once the civil war in Serbia ends, they will continue with their protests. what this means for Romania is uncertain, but one thing is for certain, Moldova is still a place, and it's a place that clearly wants independence. Who is the party that asks for Moldovan independence? That question is simple to answer, the Moldovan People's Independence Party.

Next reign to be Co-regency

Image

Today, our beloved Kaiserin, with support of her Cabinet and the Reichstag, gave permission for her son, Crown Prince Ernest Augustus, Prince of Prussia, Duke of Brunswick, Duke of Cumberland and Teviotdale, and Earl of Armagh, and his wife, Crown Princess Adelheid, Archduchess of Austria, daughter of the late Emperor Karl and brother of the current King of Austria, Otto I, to rule the German Empire as joint monarchs when she, Kaiserin Victoria, does pass to the next world. This will unify the line of German monarchs, the Houses of Hohenzollern and Habsburg, to create a dynasty representing history and the good of the people, as the office of German Emperor or Empress passes through their descendants for evermore. Of course, this is a one off, as their reign will be succeeded by a single monarch, unless further co regencies will be allowed in the future. The most likely successor to the co regency would be their Imperial Highness' daughter, Princess Victoria Alexandra Zita von Hohenzollern - Habsburg, who is currently their eldest and only child, at nineteen months old. The couple married in 1946 in Berlin, in a surprisingly quiet ceremony. They are both aged 36, both having been born in early 1914, with Crown Princess Adelheid being only three months elder than her husband. Both are well educated, both hold ranks in the military, and both have the interests of the German people at heart. Since their marriage, they have spent a lot of time in England, as the Crown Prince holds a peerage in the British House of Lords, having inherited the Dukedom of Cumberland and Teviotdale, as well as the Earldom of Armagh, when his grandfather died in 1923. His father of course, Duke Ernest Augustus Sr. of Brunswick, the Kaiserin's late husband died during the Great War, in 1919 on the Western Front, and so did not inherit the titles. But, in summary, this is a most interesting act by her Majesty, but is undoubtedly for the good of the German people.

While many believe that Romania had joined the soviets due to ideological similarities, those who live in Romania know the true reason, Romania joined the Comintern to stop any possibility of the soviets invading. However, Petru Groza and the Leader of the Moldovan People's Independence Party have come together to set up a plan. The plan will allow Romania to leave the Comintern, in return for Moldova's Independence. However, both Petru and the M.P.I.P. leader knows that there's one major problem that has to be dealt with before the plan can go any further. The Serbian civil war has to end, due to the USSR needing to use Romania in order to send supplies and soldiers to Serbia. If Romania were to just suddenly let Moldova be independent and leave the Comintern, the USSR might retaliate by invading both Moldova and Romania to make sure they stay loyal. So until the Serbian Civil war TRULY ends, Romania will have to sit and wait. Hoping for the civil war to end soon.

Adorjan Barsi signs non-aggression pact with the USSR!

Today the executive decision was made to sign a non-aggression pact between Hungary and the USSR. One motive is to settle all disputes between the two nations calmly and not to take any further military action in future conflicts, the ambition is one day there will be a global state of peace, but we all have a long way to go. Especially after the humanitarian atrocities that took place during the Serbian war. The blame falls on everyone who partook in the conflict. It all started here at the Serbian front where two armies have found each other fighting on opposing sides. The USSR, backing communist Serbia, Hungary, and allies backing the majority Royalists in the North. However after nearly 6 months of fighting the war had neatly come to a close and currently, the situation is in the process of splitting Serbia in half. The North consigned to the Pro-German Serbian Republic, and the South to the communist People's Republic of Serbia, our only hope is that all governments can learn from this horrific turn of events and observe the positive results that applying diplomacy and friendship can achieve.

The official newspaper of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union

THE SOVIET UNION’S POSITION ON THE BALKANS AND EASTERN EUROPE

The situation in the Balkans has changed much since the start of the Serbian Civil War. Hungary, a country that was once firmly in the German camp, had moved to sign a non-aggression pact with the USSR. Romania, a country vital to Soviet foreign policy, has agreed to trade and military movement agreements with the Soviet Union as well as a non-aggression pact. While fears of Soviet invasion dominate politics in Romania, these fears are completely baseless. So long as Romania makes no agressive motions towards the Soviet Union and her allies, the people of the USSR have no interest in any sort of military invasion of Romania or occupation of Romania or Moldova. Related to Moldova, the Soviet Union supports the self determination of the Moldovan people and urges a peaceful independence referendum. As it is today, the Soviet Union is prepared to release Romania from all Communist International obligations on the condition of peaceful cooperation between both countries for the future.

Hungary, a former German aligned state, has drifted closer to the Soviet Union. With regards to Hungary, the USSR supports a resolution to the ongoing territorial dispute between Romania and Hungary in the Carpathian Mountains region. The Soviet Union has also submitted several trade deals to the Hungarian government for further mutually beneficial economic integration such as measures to integrate both country’s rail networks and to ease the flow of goods across the border.
