The Rellinaiche Dynasty has ruled Ru for the entire history of our empire, a reign spanning a little over 3,000 years. It began when the mercenary captain Aiden Rel took over the city state of Ru and it's noble house of Rellinaiache, of which he had been a member of an exiled branch, crowing himself Aiden I Rellinaiche, King of Ru. He then took over 9 out of the other 11 city-states that made up the lands of today's Eastern Ru and founded the early Ruvian Empire.

The Ruvian royal family claims unbroken descent from Aiden I, and there have indeed been no Ruvian monarchs that did not take the Rellinaiche name, Ruvian historians debate over whether the dynasty should truly be considered continuous since several rulers had very tenuous links to Aiden I. Most notably Jaimeson II, who was only a half blooded royal born out of wedlock between Robere I and a baker's daughter, and his predecessor, Susanna I who was not even a Rellinaiche by blood, but rather by marriage and only took the crown because no blood Rellinaiches were left before Jaimeson made his claim. There was also more then one occasion where the line was practically extinguished, only for those in power at the time to scramble to find some distant cousin or forgotten nephew to crown as the next ruling Rellinaiche (such as when General Starly crowned Leon IV king after his successful palace coup, instead of dissolving the monarchy completely. He was not the first to assume that control could not be maintained over a united Ru without finding a Rellinaiche puppet to wear the crown.)

Although we don't have a royal house currently ruling our nation, there were some local monarchs.

The last one was the Sultanate of Oman, which became a republic upon the Sultan's abdication. He was apart of the Al Said house, which reigned Oman from 1744 to 1977

Prior to its disestablishment the House of Adesso, the last ruling dynasty, ruled Emmeria from the 15th century until the declaration of the republic in 1776. The most recent president of noble birth was Felicia Costantini (1993 - 2001)

''Although since its founding, SC has been a republic, and its predecessor never had a monarchy either, some of the states, which SC conquered, and absorbed, indeed had their own royal houses, even if they all weren't monrchies - British, Brazilian, Japanese, Spanish... Some of them had even reigned for quite a long time. All of them swept away by SC, replaced by totalitarian republicanism. Blood was spilled, when royalist purges took place, and some royal families aren't even remembered to this day. British royals are all, but a distant memory. Japanese emperor still is alive in memories, but those are slowly fading away.''
