"Welcome to Malacañang Palace, foreign dignitary. I am Garrick, a humble son of Father Asia. We are a fair people - but those who cross us will feel the fury of our Revolution. Do us right, lest repeat the mistakes others have made in the past. Now, what can we do for you?"

[ Miscellaneous Dialogue ]
"Greetings again, friend. Do you continue to enjoy our laurels of protection?"

"You again. By the grace of Father Asia, your days are numbered."

"Fool! The flowers of grace will blossom when your time has passed!"

"Very well. Asia will receive this insult, for now. But do not think this dishonor will be forgotten. Asia does not so easily forgive."

"Our scouts report your armies nearing our border. We do not wish to indulge these claims. I know you know better than to test me."

"Your people have been claiming territory rightful to Father Asia. Do you wish to displease purposefully? I do not want to encounter this annoyance in the near future."

[ Factbooks Constantly Updated ]

  • The Secretary-General, being the leader of an entire continent, is a very busy man. So in his absence, Veteran Diplomat and WA Delegate Zhan Yahui-Molotov Sr. or hired-diplomat "VoiceOverPete" (pictured below, respectively) may take his place to answer questions.
  • You may also request the response of a particular department of government, in which case, they will be summoned from the halls of government to satisfy your need accordingly.
  • Anything said or done by your characters on this thread enrich this AU's culture, so I incline everyone to participate on a daily basis. If it's important enough, your Nation's actions may show up in the news.
  • Feel free to ask OOC questions, but please use this font color (#AAAAAA) to indicate that it is OOC.
  • Note: The first thread was closed so that leader response quote formatting could be more uniform when responding to questions. The Ministry is sorry for any inconvenience caused by this matter.

RE: SILVER COMMONWEALTH

"If you are asking whether I support the National Bolshevik movement in Russia, or in the European Irredenta, my answer to that is a resolute stance of neutrality leaning towards a general disdain. I have fear that the National Bolshevik movement hides under a more sinister Fascist facade, and what further concerns me is that the movement is grounded in the First World. The military fervor, industrialist sentiment for 'nationalism' that brought-about the rise of Fascism seems to be fond of repetition. The sworn enemy of National Bolsheviks and Strasserism, however, that is, in my universe, the Trotskyist movement, is no better.

I am resolute in my Asia-first policy, that is to say, I believe that Nationalism is an antithesis, not a catalyst, Comrade Tom. Akin to a knife, Nationalism can be used to threaten people into submission, but also to unite it. I am interested in the latter, I despise the former. But generally, nationalism expressed by the Occident, characterized as more developed and ready for war is Fascism. Nationalism expressed by the Orient leads to Maoism, unity against cultural imperialism. Now that Pan-Asia approaches full industrialization and development, I aim to deter it from the former. Love for homeland can drive mankind to building-up their homeland, but also the destruction of the other guy's homeland. I am a builder. Make of that what you will.

Ah yes, liberalism. In wartime Pasig, I remember laissez-faire capitalism first hand. It is vile. Liberal Democratic Capitalism is a self-prescribed band-aid for that; but look at the state of the West. Capitalism drives them from crisis to crisis, creating greater and greater problems. The Pan-Asiatic States is a cross between Liberal Democratic Capitalism, and Total Socialism. The vanguard model prescribed by both myself and the State Development and Planning Commission is a slow transition towards Total Socialism through mechanization of core economic elements against the foreign sector. This means that while abolition of company-versus-company competition in Asia has, for a good majority of the economy, become replaced with state-monopolies that distribute needs based on a Socialist system; the Federation must continue to export and import foreign commodities which are premium in the nation. To sustain that system, external state-capitalist procedures are employed, but the foreign sector is kept at bay. For example, the creation of economic zones. However, I mandate this: local economies outside of the foreign-designated sector are emancipated from wage-slavery. Cooperative systems that utilize the Nuevapeso Labor Voucher have been put into place for the majority of the Pan-Asiatic States. This means that the calamities which Liberal Democratic Capitalism attempts to keep at bay, are, for the local sector of the Pan-Asiatic States, no longer applicable. Crises now revolve around the distribution of commodities by the state-monopolies, rather than traditional price ceilings and price floors. We no longer need liberalism to tighten such sections of the economy. Liberalism is obsolete.

For your third inquisition I'm afraid we are no longer accepting military contractors. I find it hard as it is to file appeals for Congress to maintain the large Army we harbor. But if you would like to work-out some sort of discussion with our Experimental Weapons Division, we are more than happy to collaborate designs. I can schedule such a congregation at your liking.

Thank you for your goodwill. The fight against Fascism is a fight which requires allies such as the Silver Commonwealth, and I am honored by your remark. I assure you, and the peoples of the world, that such nonchalant phrasemongering by a mob of cultural imperialists will not go nonchalantly into the darkness of the night. We are resolute to defend the world against the final remnants of misguided industrialism, to protect the fruits of peace which have been achieved by the democracies of the world through tireless effort.

May God indeed, bless us all, in the name of the People's will."

RE: VALENTINE Z

Well, whilst I don't think I'll be making any more major revisions; it takes me an hour or two to create unique ascii art. Reformatting of color compositions usually take anywhere between 40 minutes to an hour. Sig maintenance (replacing the OOC text) only takes around 5-10 minutes tops.

Longest has been to create the village ascii art under the little commie figures, which took around two hours: one hour to 'draw' it, another to create gradients.

People’s Party of the Republic Headquarters

From the Central Committee of the People’s Party of the Republic

Comrade Abramovich, we are truly honored by your letter.

We would be very keen on setting up a political consulate in Neo-Manila, as you have suggested. Those of a socialist perspective are few and far between in our institutions of higher learning, but we will send all the scholars we can.

Our party is just now recovering from years of being harassed and smeared by far right zealots such as Deputy Mekonen of the National Party, along with those Boulevard bourgeoisie, the Social Democrats. But we have not lost hope! This recent election has shown us that the people are waking up. We can build socialism in our own way and for our own time, through democratic means.

Our work has already begun in Central Province, at the local, provincial, and federal levels- we are fighting to protect factory engineers from exposure to dangerous chemicals, to put the criminally negligent Central and Metropolitan Utility under the control of its rank-and-file, and to form workers’ cooperatives so our young people can take charge of their own future and live with the dignity to which all working people are entitled.

It is no secret that there are reactionary elements in the Government that will oppose your outreach. But we encourage you to send someone over and make the case for unity- not to the establishment, but to the working men and women of this country, who want a future where their children do not fight in endless foreign wars, end up working a dead-end job with no living wage and benefits, or lose hope entirely and turn to organized crime.

With your support, their future is that much closer to becoming a reality.

Solidarity to the working people of Asia, from the working people of the Brukean Republic, West America, and beyond!

RE: BRUKE

"I give my thanks to the newfound allies that I have attained in the People's Party of the Republic in Bruke, and I assure the Socialists of Bruke that the consulacy and its constituents will be given the utmost attention by my ministers and commissary-generals in Neo-Manila. And of course, best of luck in your current conflict against the industrialists. "

Released through the Government Information Service on April 16th, 2019. Drafted and sent out on the same day:

Statement from the Office of the President on the Opening of the So-Called Political Consulate of the People's Party of the Republic

Although the plans for this 'political consulate' have been known to the Government, the announcement of the facility's completion warrants a formal response.

While the People's Party of the Republic is free to associate with whatever political group it wishes, at home or abroad -provided such group does not advocate hostile action against the Royal Republic- this does not mean that the party should purposefully test the boundaries of that freedom.

It would be remiss not to mention that the party has in its platform a call for revolution -albeit a democratic one- and an end to the monarchy, the guardian of the legal, constitutional, and moral orders of this country.

Especially at this time, when those of the PPR's members that rejected democratic means of change have become active once again, the prospect of ties between it and the Asian Communist Party raises concerns of undue influence on the Brukean political system.

Any attempt at undue influence would be rebuffed by the forces of state, using all necessary means. Brukean citizens involved in such an attempt would be subject to arrest and prosecution, and if convicted would face penalties provided by the Act on the Status and Governance of the Realm.

The responsibility to avoid such a troubling situation, which would be immensely damaging to Brukean-Pan-Asiatic relations, lies with the Pan-Asiatic government, the Asian Communist Party, and the People's Party of the Republic.

The Royal Republic remains vigilant against all potential threats, foreign or domestic, and the Government will be mindful of further developments.

Released through the Government Information Service:

Communiqué on the Pan-Asiatic intervention into Israeli-Palestinian affairs

As confirmed by the Secretary-General and later noted in the Neo-Manila Post, holy sites in Jerusalem, including Orthodox Tewahedo churches, have likely been damaged in the course of Pan-Asiatic operations in the area.

In addition to the damage to sacred spaces and potential loss of civilian life, there are men and women of the Beta Israel community -colloquially referred to as Ethiopian Jews- who have likely been injured or killed while serving with the IDF.

The Government does not expect cooperation regarding the latter concern, but it does expect cooperation regarding the former concern.

While the Government will always strive to protect the interests of those who are of the national characteristics set forth by the Constitution, wherever in the world they are, it cannot abide the destruction of the common heritage of the Habesha peoples- regardless of underlying circumstances.

Therefore, it asks that Pan-Asiatic experts in conservation and restoration be sent to Jerusalem and other locations to join Brukean experts in repairing any damage suffered by sites of importance to the Orthodox Tewahedo- and the Beta Israel as well, if damage has also occurred to their places of worship or other spaces of religious activity.

This proposal is neither meek request nor bellicose demand, but rather a part of the enduring Brukean commitment to advocate for the rights and privileges of Abyssinia of old.

However, the Pan-Asiatic States need not worry about the intentions of this country as expressed here.

In the spirit of Abrahamic unity, which has existed in the motherland since antiquity, the Royal Republic hereby recognizes Palestine as a sovereign state and pledges to respect the new status quo as established by the Treaty of Jerusalem.

Postscript from the Office of the Prime Minister:

On the advice of the Prime Minister, the President asked that the Cabinet determine the stance of the Government in this instance.

Accordingly, the Ministers of the Cabinet sought counsel from the Prime Minister in developing an appropriate response for the situation at hand and have empowered him to speak on their behalf.
