We don't go out of our forest that much, but when we do their main criticisms about us will either be for having other nations do our developing for us (basically, other nations have to be responsible for modernizing us), or for not allowing immigration in any way (this is to keep our race pure).

We have been critized for our continued use of death penalty and corporal punishment instead of prisons, but as prisons are inhumane, these are only available options to keep our people safe. There has also been a surprising amount of criticism for our conscription defence forces. Everyone upon reaching adulthood at the age of 17 is required to serve at least a period of one year before moving to either active or passive reserve.

As decreed by the Grand Monarch personally, our laws supersede any international laws and regulations, which we are required to follow only when it is deemed beneficial to our great nation.

A number of things about Radictistan attract foreign ire.

1. Radictistan has extremely lax intellectual property laws. Foreign copyrights are not recognized in Radictistan unless registered in the country. (Expect to pay a lot of bribes in order to do so.)

2. Radictistan has not signed any extradition treaties and has subsequently maintained a policy in which all extradition requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basic. The decision to extradite is made at the Ministerial level and can take long periods of time unless expedited for political reasons. Radictistan will not extradite persons holding Radictistani citizenship or who are accused of "political" crimes.

3. Radictistan has virtually no legal restrictions on the ownership of firearms and a well established "gun culture." Not only does this squick some cultures out, it means that Radictistan is a major source of illicit weapons brought into other countries.

4. Radictistan is extremely uptight about Freedom-of-Navigation issues and never gives consent for foreigners to search Radictistan-flagged vessels on the high seas, no matter what the ship in question is accused of doing.

5. Radictistan stockpiles chemical weapons and has semi-officially announced that it will use them if invaded.

6. Abortion in Radictistan is only permitted in case of danger to the mother's life or the presence of fetal abnormalities likely to result in greatly diminished lifespan or quality of life.

A big thing people criticize us for is claiming the Ōsumi, Tokara and Amami islands, which were part of Kagoshima, during Independence. The people who wanted independence wanted to unite the entire island chain together. To be fair, the Amami islands were previously part of the Ryukyu Kingdom (to which we are a counterpart), so we do at least have a historic reason to justify taking it back. Japan tends to be a little upset about this.

Other criticisms that come about relate to the original government, led by one Yanagi Asakura, including total lockdowns of the country, trying to destroy the American bases in Okinawa (though America had released us back to Japan literally a few years before), splitting away from China and trying to get revenge on Japan for trying to silence the Ryukyuan culture. He had the military kill innocent civilians that got in their way in order to achieve his goals. He and his government weren't very popular, needless to say, so Asakura was overthrown by a more liberal government in 1981, which still runs the country today. Asakura was given a life sentence for all he had tried to do.

There isn't really anything else people criticize us for, as we are one of the most stable countries in the region.

Some Americans also criticize Tsuki because It used to be part of South Korea, and Korea hates the USA. Our nation once had racial laws, so that was a big thing that people criticized about us. The government was also oppressive, and we were accused of rigging elections and extending term limits so that we could stay in power as long as possible.

However, our criticisms now involve limited LGBT recognition, censorship of bad press about the government and our socialist economy (though the last one is really only bought up by capitalists), as well as being a bit too eager to potentially start wars with other nations.
