Our overall authoritarian government and political repression has been extremely controversial, but the main thing the International Community criticizes us are the numerous atrocities that have been perpetrated by the government. From purges to wars to near-genocide, the Kancian Government has always been a notorious regime. One of the currently most infamous atrocities is the severe mistreatment of indigenous people via ethnic cleansing, massacres and the use of concentration camps.

It is estimated that 400,000 of the 1 million indigenous people have been interned in the ‘correction camps’ where they have allegedly been tortured, raped, enslaved or even killed. Forced labor such as farming, manufacturing or mining enriches the private entities overseeing the camps, Those in the camps are forcibly assimilated into ‘patriotic citizens’ and are forced to forget their language and convert to the Kancian Church. Extremely harsh punishment is met with any prisoner who is deemed ‘too barbaric’. It is estimated that 15,000 people have died in custody due to torture, exhaustion or execution.

The correction camps aren’t the only atrocities being done against the indigenous population. Some 150,000 natives were forcibly marched across harsh terrain by the military to small and densely packed reservations full of slums and extreme surveillance. 10,000 died on the death march though many more died later. Massacres have also been orchestrated, with the most infamous being the rape of the resting eagle where 800 indigenous civilians were massacred by Kancian troops and another 3,000 raped and tortured. Other massacres have been carried out by the military, resulting in hundreds of deaths each. It is estimated that 35,000 indigenous people have been killed in the past 2 decades by the government.

Another globally-condemned atrocity was the 1996 white terror(often referred simply as ‘the mass purge’) in which Ekhon Numik consolidated power after being appointed president by the Kancian Nationalist Party through repression. In a 1 and a half year period of mass repression, over 16,000 suspected political opponents were shot and 750,000 arrested. Of those arrested, nearly 250,000 were transferred to newly established KFIA work camps, of which nearly 20,000 have perished in custody due to strenuous torture and hard labor. The KFSA secret police was established after the terror, and thousands simply vanished ever since it became active.

Our numerous federal agencies have also been condemned. The KFSA has allegedly ‘disappeared’ over 8,000 people and murdered thousands of others. Hundreds of thousands have been tortured by the secret police agency through various techniques ranging from beatings to rat torture. The KSFU is another controversial group utilized by the government, as it is an elite paramilitary death squad. While it only has 15 members, it has directly murdered 400 people across Kancia and dozens outside ever since it was activated in 2013. Perhaps the most notorious organization used by Kancia is the K-SIB, or Kancian Secret Intelligence Bureau for short. It has conducted numerous state terror campaigns such as operation subduer where K-SIB puppet dictators in Subsuharan Africa have killed 70,000 people. It is complicit in the massive genocidal violence in south east asia, sending massive amounts of weaponry and lists of targets to deliberately destabilize the region. It has funded and began wars and has orchestrated genocide in foreign nations, being directly or indirectly responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths.

The KFIA political prison camps are widely referred to as ‘Kancian Gulags’ due to the high mortality rate and severe mistreatment if prisoners. Political opponents and dissidents make up the vast majority of inmate in the camps, and undergo hard labor and repeated torture such as beatings and waterboarding. They are given minimal rations, leaving many to starve or kill other inmates for their rations. Most KFIA camps are located in the northern mountainous region, so harsh climate is met to many prisoners. Since 1998, over 1.4 million people have passed through the KFIA system, with over 90,000 dying. Currently, over 150,000 prisoners are in the camps, many being protesters arrested in recent crackdowns.

Recently, protests emerged, calling for President Ekhon Numik to resign. He responded with harsh crackdowns, ordering troops to shoot civilians. Around 2,000 people have been massacred in crackdowns across the country in the past year, with one incident seeing army personnel massacring 350 protesters in a single day. Hundreds have disappeared or were executed in crackdowns and tens of thousands sent to labor camps or simply tortured. Kancia has become more authoritarian with much more surveillance and militarized police due to the crackdowns.
