Slavery. When we separated from the Confederate States slavery remained legal in Confederate New Orleans. While we are heavily criticised for the legality of slavery in our nation, slave ownership itself is actually somewhat uncommon in our city-state due to our economy largely being that of a trade port. We have no plantations or room for that style of agricultural slavery in our small city-state, the slaves who remain in our country are largely house slaves of wealthy businessmen.

Jacrain is critized by people from other countries frequently, but the reasons mostly based on stereotypes and don’t necessarily apply to the mass population.

It is also being criticized for being a Neo-Nazi Fascist government, as it started out as the Democratic Federal Republic when it first was formed. Many want it back as the Federal Republic, but this war is to reaffirm that doesn't happen.

Outer Sparta is criticized as being soft on the international stage, such as not intervening in many conflicts of the world and opting to prioritize humanitarian aid over any military aid. Other criticisms include an overbearing emphasis on environmental protection, historical mistreatment of migrants, and not giving natives the compensation they are entitled to while fighting to defend the country in a past war. Additionally, democracy didn't happen until 1989, and the leadership before democratic transition engaged in blatant human rights violations.

Additionally, those persons with other heritable diseases and disorders such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, allergies, asthma and a myriad other diseases and ailments, may be before marriage or procreation, on the recommendation of their physician, required to undergo genetic testing to determine the risk of passing on such diseases.

This policy has been in place since the mid-20th century, and has resulted in a noticeable drop in the number of diagnoses for genetic diseases and disorders.

Probably the relatively tiny amount of laws. That and the more narrow minded world leaders tend to scoff at the idea of states' rights at all, dogwhistle or actual states' rights doesn't matter. That contributes to the President not really going out of her way to make friends internationally... which then earns the CSA the title of the Hermit Kingdom of North America.

The fact that slavery is still legal in some of Auspelia's states. The central government has tried to overturn this, however their is a conflict of interest between the state constitutions and the articles of confederation in the federal constitution. The articles of confederation in the federal constitution specifically state that it shall be left up to the individual state constitutions to determine the pay of ethnically non-white workers within the boundaries of that individual state. This essentially means that the central government can't force the states to abolish slavery and must instead wait until the individual states abolish it on their own accord.

Although other nations often threaten and sometimes implement tit-for-tat tariffs, the small size of Appalachia's customer base compared with its impact as a pharmaceuticals manufacturer and major coal and gas exporter means most nations do not do so.

We're criticized for numerous things by outside observers, let's just make a list of things which people have critiqued our nation for:
- To get the obvious one out of the way first, we're a single-party totalitarian dictatorship
- We are a racial supremacist nation where Koreans are considered the supreme race, with other East Asian peoples being slightly lesser than Koreans, and non-East Asians having widespread legal and cultural discrimination against them
- Girlgroupization is widely considered to be cultural genocide as it entails the complete replacement of all native languages of a region with Korean, only Korean media being broadcast in a region, all works predating Girlgroupization are to either be destroyed completely or only having Korean translations available, and all of their previous culture has been eliminated and replaced with one based around Korean popular culture and idol worship
- Our nation actively practices slavery upon those who refuse to follow Girlgroupism. We must note that we don't like to do this, but for those who consistently refuse to allow the love and kindness of girl groups into their life, they will find themselves stripped of their citizenship, having had a bit of surgery done on them to make them dumb and obedient, and sold into slavery.

Islaevia may appear democratic at first sight, but in fact the influence of the Commitee for State Security (KSS) and the dominance of the Islaevian Socialist Party (ISP) effectively mean that it is a consolidated authoritarian regime.

Some abuses criticized by the international community are lack of real political pluralism and electoral fraud (the ISP has been in government since 1986), burdensome restrictions on religion and private businesses, rampant corruption and media restrictions (including arbitrary internet censorship).

A sizeable amount of criticism is focused on the role of the KSS, which stands accused of forcibly disappear hundreds of people based on minimal evidence, and generally operating extralegally and disregarding due process protections guaranteed by law.
