Mercia speaks the whole hedgehog of English Midland accents. For example, the Birmingham, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Worcestershire accents are particularly prevalent. As Birmingham is the capital city, Brummie seems to have become the new BBC tone of choice, although neutral British accents are still prevalent in public information broadcasts. Whilst the Mercian dialect of the Old English language has been somewhat reborn, the accents in which it is uttered very much reflect the modern pronunciations.

If you can somehow articulate Icelandic mixed with Acadian French then you have it.

There are four chief accents.

Southern Westernaldan - sounds similar to Australian.

Northern Westernaldan - sounds similar to Scottish.

Westernaldan Spanish - sounds similar to a Spain Spanish accent.

Westernaldan Italian - sounds similar to a Northern Italian accent.

In addition to that there are various native tribal languages with their own accents as well as foreign accents from immigrants and such.

British and North American mainly, with hints of Portuguese (very minimal, only present in some people's accent).

The southern parts of the country sounds like German but the further you go north it shifts toward Danish instead.

Kesarsey's primary spoken language is (British) English, and Anglo-Norman has some colloquial usage (19% of the population speaks it on a daily basis).

The accent of Kesarsey's elite, i.e. the aristocracy and educated middle class, is the same as British English 'Received Pronunciation' that was co-opted into Kesarseian high society in the late 18th to 19th centuries.

For the vast majority of Kesarseymen, however, the standard dialect sounds similar to this version spoken English with a few exceptions. It employs a rhotic 'r' with some nasalisation of the letter 'n' when combined with vowels as an influence from Norman. Most dialects also retain some pre-vowel shift pronunciations. For example by pronouncing 'oo' in 'foot' and the 'u' in 'strut' identically.

The Anglo-Norman accent sounds like a mix of the British English and French accents when spoken, with different words each resembling different accents.

The Plantainite dialect sounds mostly like standard English with just a tiny smidge of elements from around the Pacific Islands, but much more guttural, with a few pronunciations lifted from the Basque dialect of northern Europe. Some people claim it sounds nearly South African with the right volume and pitch, but everything sounds like South African if it's quiet and frustrated enough, ha?

If you're talking about English and not Mandarin Zhouranese (Zhouranese dialect of Mandarin), then the Zhourangese accent of English would sound a bit slurred and thick-tongued with some braying and mumbling. While Putonghua in the Zhouranese dialect (Mandarin Zhouranese) is the nation's official language, English is also taught as well in all levels of Zhouranese education (even though it's classed as a secondary language only). In Zhouranese education, not only is Putonghua compulsory but so is basic English, with advanced English being electives in Zhouranese educational institutions.

A Lereki native trying to speak english would pronounce "w" with a voiced /w/, but "wh" or "hw" with a voiceless /ʍ/. The english /ɹ/ consonant represented by the letter R would always be pronounced as /r/, the trill version of the same consonant that is seen in many European languages(Most spanish, italian, romanian, nordic, and slavic language speakers). qu(/kw/ or /kʷ/) is pronounced as /kʰu/ or /xʷ/. The u vowel pronunciation /ʊ/(as in cook) is pronounced as schwa sound /ə/.

The standard New Bremerton accent is practically identical to a standard, General American accent, although the cot-caught merger may be slightly more advanced in New Bremerton English than in American English, but slightly less developed than in Canadian English. New Bremerton English is fully rhotic everywhere (meaning r's are not dropped), there is no "Southern" accent, and due to there being no history of slavery, there is also no distinctive ethnolect resembling AAVE among black New Bremertonians. There are also no distinctive "East Coast" accents resembling those of NYC, Boston and Philadelphia, or the accents of the Canadian Maritime provinces, including the Newfoundland accent. There is no French-speaking province in New Bremerton, meaning there is no French-sounding accent either.

OOC: I can't decide whether to include regional varieties based on the regional accents of the U.S. and Canada. Right now I'm imagining New Bremerton English to be even more homogeneous than American and even Canadian English. I don't know whether to include a Californian accent in the southwest of the country, Pacific Northwestern in the northwest, standard Canadian in the north and North Midland in the east and southeast. There may be other fictional, regional varieties that I'm not going to elaborate on.
