[Nouvelle Amerique]

Nouvelle Amerique is the North American holdings of the French Colonial Empire which started in 1608 with the founding of Quebec. From 1608-1750, the territory was controlled directly by the French monarch until a meeting with a visiting foreign Lord, convinced King Louis XV to name his family and any direct descendants as Territorial Governor in 1753. From 1753 until the start of the British colonist's revolt in 1775, the family served the King and presided over an area that stretched as far north as the Arctic Circle to the Gulf of Mexico in the south as a puppet government. The provincial capital of the territory was New Orleans.

Following the British defeat in 1783, the second Territorial Governor of New France (Nouvelle Amerique) petitioned the French king to cede the territory to his family permanently in exchange for eight million francs and a supplemental offering of 25,000 francs annually for the next 20 years. Louis XVI agreed and ceded the Louisiana territory and the Canadian territories.

In 1790, Nouvelle Amerique was officially recognised and incorporated as a monarchy by the French. With the Territorial Governor becoming King. The same family has ruled Nouvelle
Amerique since, carrying a 229-year dynasty into the 21st century.

Its amazing you've been able to hold onto all that power for such a long time. Where there not revolts that would have toppled your government?

There certainly were protests and minor revolts over the years but nothing that collapsed the monarchy. However, the one event that seriously threatened the monarchy occurred in 1833.

The Pheasant Storm of 1833 was a major event for King Benjamin I, as farmers and parcel landowners protested by throwing pheasants and storming the nation's armoury. The protest nearly toppled the kingdom but was resolved after three years with the Traité de Poulet (literally, the Chicken Treaty) that devolved the king's power significantly over matters of land rights. This followed with a sort of Nouvelle Amerique 'Magna Carta' situation in 1841 when Benjamin I was forced to sign the Droits de Tous les Hommes (The Rights of All Men) in May 1841 allowing citizens significant civil rights and personal freedom in exchange for a royal mandate to rule.

In February 22, 1448, Buda was united by the change of Gaverse-Leone, 6 years after the fall of Tr1xie, the predecessor of Buda. The country united when Gaverse-Leone, a small kingdom in the European Peninsula. Gaverse-Leone declared war on 52 other kingdoms, and Gaverse-Leone annexed all of them. 3 months later, Gaverse-Leone changed its name to Buda, and then it spreaded all across Eurasia.

Nicias the Elder was raised by a wildcat in a cave on the side of Mt Niciae and then he went on to found the city-state of Niciae or so the Ancient legend goes.

[Gothic Vandelia]

Gothic Vandelia consist of 3 old kingdoms: Gothica, Vandelia and Jorvik.

Gothica is Germanic, full of old stone castles and warlike. In the old days the Gothian smiths were famous for their steel. The terrain has some larger mountains with fertile valleys between and the Gothian highland. The temperature is similar to Germany.

Vandelia is Mayan, filled with ancients cities and pyramids hidden by a think rain-forest. It also have a chain of active volcanoes. Vandelias jungles are rich on oil and platinum, while the know old goldmines have all dried up.

Jorvik consist mainly of mountains and the culture is Norse. It is cold due to it's altitude and have very little agriculture, it's main food source is the fish in the ocean outside and in the rivers. It also have several titanium mines.

In the old times, Gothica and Vandelia were enemies but while Gothica always had the upper hand they had a hard time actually invading Vandelia, filled with malaria and hard terrain. That changed 250 years ago with the invention of kinin that stopped the malaria as well as modern rifles. That lead to a long and bloody war which finally joined the 2 kingdoms.
Jorvik entered the kingdom just 8 years ago after the war of Maximilian the mad. Maximilian wanted to invade the barbarians and had a technological advancement but once war broke out the Jorvikians bought some Jesian built airplanes and so called "tanks" against the Gothiac Vandelian planes and panzers. The last last 8 long and bloody years until the Jorvikian grand jarl died due to a bomb hitting him when he moved between his bunkers. The Gothians were however not happy, Maximilians incompetence meant that he had sacrificed several million people due to his inability to listen to his generals. This lead to a revolt lead by 9 officers that all shot Maximilian to death in his Royal castle.

Maximilian was the last king and the last 8 years the country have been a democracy, although some of the election might not have been so democratic as civil rights people wish. The one who became Gothias first President was an ace pilot by the name of John Kaiserhalz, who sortened his named to Kaiser" when he was sworn in. He still leads the country towards the future.

Gothia is a bit confusing for visitors. The religion is mixing the Norse Pantheon with old Mayan Gods, but anyone rich enough to pay for a nice statue in a temple can add in any God, the view is that there are plenty of Gods and Godesses so a few more can't hurt. Most of the writing is written in runes using the 16 rune Futhark but there are a couple of newspapers, a book publisher and even a few comic books using Maya script. The country is mainly known today for it's massive arms manufacturing but it is a highly scientific land that makes great cars, power plants and have an impressive space program. It also grow excellent coffee and tea.

Basically, After the magical awakening of the 1800s, the Vatican summoned two exorcists from another dimension to destroy the Laibach Uprising in 1856, but the exorcists turned on the Vatican and overthrew Hapsburg Austria and Grünewald became instated as the new Kaiser. He then formed the South German confederation and set off on a few expansionist wars against Prussia, France, the Netherlands, Poland, The Ottomans, Denmark, and a few little German states. Much later would come a (re) colonization of South America, Africa, and Asia, which would abruptly end in a grand industrial war, known in Austro-Danubia as `The great patriotic war´.

[Coconut Palm Island]

In 1972, the world was declining. Many nations had declared a "war on drugs", were ruining their environments, and stripping citizens of anything even remotely close to liberty. Racism and sexism were still wide spread, and many people just couldn't get a fair shake. So, a group of people from many nations (mainly US, Mexico, Central/South America) decided to create their own nation, with privacy, a social libertarian approach, a good environment, and a way to make real money (tourism, though other industries followed). Luckily, some of the first citizens-to-be had money, so we paid for the Island to be developed, a bit at a time.

As the Island was being formed, a constitutional convention occurred. Originally, the people wanted a democracy, but they liked the ideas of Paul Franklin so much that they made him the first King of Coconut Palm Island (served 1972-2001, succeeded by King Alexander, currently serving). King Paul personally was fleeing from charges in America related to his recreational use of illegal drugs. He was always sensitive to criminal justice issues, and was named "The World Leader Softest on Crime" before his death.

However, they didn't want an absolute Monarchy, or one person with too much power. King Paul wrote the Royal Charter, with the help of some friends, and the population quickly approved it, nearly unanimously. A 30-person Senate was formed, with yearly re-elections (voting for parties, not people), power to strike down executive action by the King, and the power to override a Royal veto w/ a 3/4 majority. In addition, the Senate can remove the King at any time by 3/4 vote and replace him with a new Monarch, but this has never been done. Also, a Royal Court was established to protect the rights of the people and to interpret. Basically, the people wanted a government where the Monarch could be strong if he/she was liked, but also could be overridden if he/she didn't represent the people.

1972-1976 were tough years, with many people barely getting by. Taxes were extremely high, infrastructure was just being built, many citizens worked as farmers, etc. Because of the policies, major nations didn't want to trade with Coconut Palm Island. However, in 1976, a deal was reached with some major nations (many EU nations, Mexico, some Central American nations, and even a limited deal with the US). Although the Island had many socialistic policies, the people always rejected communism, leading the US to eventually do more trade with us. Around 1980, King Paul's plan to turn the Island economy into a very profitable system worked. Tourists started flowing in, resorts were built. People moved here, colleges and businesses opened up in major cities. Even more tourists came, and the Island became a hub for both vacationers and serious businessmen.

Since than, everything fell into place. We aren't a superpower, and many major countries still don't respect us, but our citizens are rich, happy, and free, which is all King Paul ever wanted. Unfortunately, in 2001, King Paul took his own life after struggling with depression. When he passed, he was not married, and only had one son, who became King. King Alexander was confirmed by the Senate in a 30-0 vote, and continues to have a high approval rating.

[Pulau]

Pulau has its origins in the Selatapuran Sultanate, the dominant empire over the island of Pulau (literally "island" in Malay). The Sultanate eventually united the whole island of Pulau into the eponymous country.
In the late 1800s Pulau fell under British dominion. This led to a large amount of Western influence on Pulauan culture, as well as the red, white, and blue colors of Pulau's flag.
In 1959, Pulau declared independence from Britain and became the Free Commonwealth of Pulau.
Today, Pulau is a Commonwealth country and still holds close ties with Great Britain.

So that's kinda a rough outline of how modern Pulau came to be.

Before Suhurbia was what it is now, it once used to be a landmass divided by 9 independent nations (which they had been for thousands of years) and 2 independent nation states (Euraea and Dravonia). In the late 1800's, Suhurbia was faced with a lot of international threats. In response, the governments of all the nations agreed to unite into one single entity, though the nations are now geopolitical divisions, the cultures are all still preserved and there is no "one culture" law.

Our island was claimed by several large, powerful nations. They fought each other to a stalemate, and decided that between fighting among themselves, and various attacks by our native people, that the island was more trouble than it was worth. After they withdrew, we organized and built our own nation.

Our secluded island was populated by many uncivilised tribes, however one of them formed an early empire, and it has evolved to form an elected monarchy, like that of the holy Roman empire (in the electoral system).

[Magical Equestria]

As related in our annual Hearth's Warming Eve pageants, Equestria was founded by the union of the three tribal nations of Ponies: Unicorns, Pegasi, and Earth Ponies. Before the union, the three nations were in a state of almost perpetual war with one another, with the Earth Pony nation held in thrall by the Unicorn nation, and both facing attacks by Pegasi warlords. The situation eventually reached a crisis when the Windigos came and brought with them an ecological calamity that drove the Pony tribes out of their ancestral homeland into the unexplored south.

The union actually took place after simultaneous revolutions within the three nations. The common ponies of each tribe, fed up by their leaders' insistence on warfare and blaming them for the Windigo crisis, overthrew their respective leaderships and forged a new, united pony nation Equestria, one in which no race of Pony would attack or exploit the other.

The modern Democratic Republic of Gandoor was established on 12 October 1904 when the Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Gandoor was formally ratified by the First Forum of the Democratic Republic of Gandoor.

The establishment of the Democratic Republic ended the over two-year period of Gandoor being ruled by an interim government established following the end of the Gandoor Revolution on 9 September 1902. The Gandoor Revolution was a non-violent revolution led by the Gandoor Communist Party and aided by the New Democratic Party which advocated for the replacement of the Gandoorese monarchy (officially established in 1603 and which had only become a constitutional monarchy in 1885) with a new republican government based upon equality and liberty for all within the nation.

But the Chief Justice has slaughtered and killed billions if not trillions of people to turn the the country from a terrestrial empire into a Galactic Empire spanning billions of light years. The Chief Justice even assasinated own allies who helped him rise to power and even killed his wife's parents while making it look like an accident.

By treaty of the chiefs of the Seven Tribes. They assembled at an agreed upon spot on the River Turhineg, and elected a Shah for all the tribes. They wrote a constitution and bylaws, which declared that every Shah would be elected, and that a council of all the tribes could be called by one of the rulers, or the Shah himself. They built a city for the Shah to live in and for the council to assemble, which would be called Jakitagboce(Rez. "Unity Garden")

In 1931, the Rezmaeristan Workers' Syndicalist Front marched on Jakitagboce in order to protest Shahzid Lala Deshbegir's weakness in dealing with foreign powers which were abusing Rezmaeris, and her lack of concern for the common man(and woman). They converged on the main road into the city, and marched through the streets up to the Royal Precinct gates demanding to speak to the Shahzid. The Captain of the Guards refused, but Sishkan'r Urmarkan, the RWSF leader and one of the key organizers of the march, said:

"If we may not speak to our own Shahzid, we are ready to fight her."

He was referring to how several of his Tanvests had already taken control of post offices and other control points. They were ready for a showdown with the Royal Guard. Knowing that firing on protesters would ruin the Shahzid's already shaky reputation(she'd only been in power for a few weeks after overthrowing her even weaker brother Bolin III), the captain of the guard ordered his men to stand down. With this, power was transferred to the people of Rezmaeristan, and a new age of sovereignty and independence dawned.

[Routcher]

In the year 1075AD, Gregory I "The Unifier" brought together the various tribes of the island of Routcher and established the kingdom. This is the "origin" of Routcher as a nation, although the various tribes have almost a millennia of history predating Gregory that could be included, especially the Routti Tribe from which Gregory was born and ruled as chieftain in his early career.

Routcher would not become an Empire until much later however, when King Nicholas I "the Explorer" personally led an expedition to the new world and established a colony on St. Norman's Island in the Caribbean in the year 1500AD.

We broke off from an empire once it has collapsed in the 1850s. Then, few years later, our region was bombarded with socialist revolutions. Was just a matter of time until we had a socialist revolution too. When it happened, our king was exiled and later died from an infected crocodile bite. However, there was one region in our previous nation that didn't sympathize with the socialists. After a union with another monarchist state, our country was founded. At first, it was a theocratic monarchy. But after winning a world war and finding an ancient prophecy from the Empire that we were in, we became a Holy Empire. And that's where we are now.

[Tlerzhenvoa]

The Tlerzhen'na were once part of the Quula Empire. During this period, they were four tribes, who shared a region in the far north of the empire, known as Qel'tā. Qel'tā was the most deeply impoverished region within the empire, and the region's many natural resources were exploited by the Quula regime in order to further their own wealth. Eventually, the people of Qel'tā revolted. This revolt was quickly crushed, and the four tribes of Qel'tā were exiled for their treason, forced to sail north, and liable to immediate execution, should any of them be seen in the empire again.

However, from the exiles, a leader emerged, a young woman named Zhenaii Veztol Qesniin. She rallied the survivors and united the tribes. She spotted the archipelago which would become the new home of the four tribes. She cast away the old names for them used by their Quula oppressors, and declared them to be a new people altogether, the Tlerzhen people. However, outside of accounts which have been passed down through the generations, little else is known of this early period in Tlerzhen history. Even the origin of the word Tlerzhen is unknown, but the most widely accepted theory is that the term is a bastardization of the Old Quula phrase, "T'laera Z'nt," meaning, "People of the aurora."

Largely united behind Veztol's leadership, the Tlerzhen'na continued north, stopping at any small islands they encountered, but still never finding any large enough to sustain the four tribes. Until they finally spotted a large landmass directly ahead of them. Legend would have it that Veztol, desperate to save her people, asked a Ziintliet (Shaman) of the Thēn'ski'Vhuul tribe if she had finally found the land that would bring about the salvation of her people, she was told that the Tlerzhen'na had a bright future on the islands. After landing, the island was discovered to be but a small part of a large archipelago, more than big enough to sustain the Tlerzhen'na. This archipelago was dubbed Tlerzhenvoa - meaning, "Land of the Tlerzhen".

Veztol's reign lasted for roughly 15 years, during which she formed the Hamuūn (rough translation: constitution), and established relations with the native peoples of the archipelago.

A decades-long struggle for independence from the Anglish Empire culminated in independence for the short-lived Republic of Kenayre, before the Communist Party's seizure of power in the August Coup kick-started the Kenayrean Revolution. Two years of civil war followed, before the Republican forces were defeated. The People's Republic was formally declared in October 1957. The Republican government fled to Casatera, a small island previously administered by Kenayre, where they laid claim to the entire territory of Kenayre until 1987. The two states didn't re-open diplomatic relations with one another until 1979, and in June 1987 the Republican government dropped its claim to be the legitimate government of Kenayre and renamed itself the Republic of Casatera. We now maintain cordial relations with Casatera, especially with the Casateran Labour Party which has strong ties to our own Communist Party

[Forlania]

Forlania was inhabited by Polynesians over 750 years ago but they seemingly dissapeared about 400 years ago. Many theories suggest conquistadors visited and slayed the natives but there is little evidence to prove this. The islands were not officialy resettled until about 1890 when a rich Canadian family discovered the lands (for the modern world).

They kept them secret for many years but eventually created plantations and brought over as many slaves as they could. Since the islands weren’t legally declared for by an existing country the Carlton’s formed their own rudimentary government. They ruled the islands for about 25 years before the slaves revolted and took over in a short revolution. They followed the lead of a suave southern american named Rickardo Forlain who after Assisting in the New Walesland revolution of 1922, came to lead the revolution against the Carlton’s after learning of the political situation.
After the revolution ended, he soon set up a monarchial society at the behest of the comrades he had freed, both out of thanks & due to their undereducated group situation in a remote nation state . Forlain however put his friend on the throne as he would go on to assist many other populace’s revolutionize against their tyrannical & cruel governments.
Since then his friend's family, the Daltins, have ruled the island with strong but benevolent leadership. Soon after taking over they adapted extensive civil rights, environment friendly practices, and corporate health & safety laws to protect their countrymen. In recent years Forlania has modernized itself to be comparable to most large first world countries albiet relatively isolated.
The current King is Tayew Daltin, age 39.

[Nordengrund]

Humans have been living in Nordengrund since time immemorial, and for awhile lived in small tribes. These tribes traded and warred with each other for centuries until they began trading with peoples from far off lands. Being close to Scandinavia, Nordic peoples also migrated here and the indigenous people also adopted their culture and bred with them. This was the beginning of the Nordikan ethnicity.

The tribes united into various jarldoms and the Nordikans began seafaring and pillaging other lands, taking slaves back with them. Some of these slaves were Christians, and Nordikans would later become Christians, themselves.

One of the jarls was a slave owner and converted to Christianity due to the influence of his slaves, and legalized it in his territory, and made it the official religion. He was convinced that he needed to unite the island under one leader so the Nordikans could survive in a harsh world of empires and raiders. After a series of campaigns, he succeeded and died soon after. His son ascended to the new national throne as Oberjarl, and worked to convert the rest of the land to Christianity.

[Basilia]

Basilia exists in an alternate universe in which Spain unified and pushed Islam out of the Iberian Peninsula much faster than in our timeline. It also unified with Portugal and the Crown of Aragon faster too, and never lost control of those holdings, effectively become the Kingdom of Iberia and later the Iberian Empire. In addition to all of this, colonization began much earlier in this timeline.

What would become Basilia was originally a colony of Brittany called New Brittany. This land (mostly inhabited by natives with very few Breton settlers) was eventually conquered by Prince Basilio Villena of Iberia in the late 1400s, and the colony was renamed “Basilia” in his honor, and Basilio was named the first viceroy. Unlike other Iberian colonies, slavery was illegal in Basilia, and the viceroy worked to make the culture much more egalitarian, due to the contrasting culture of the surrounding nations and colonies. Fast forward a hundred years or so, the Iberian Crown got increasingly more tyrannical, and the other colonies were becoming more reliant on slaves and more demanding of autonomy. Eventually a king married the monarch of Iberia’s longstanding vassal, the Congo, which sent the slavery-reliant colonies into rebellion. Some colonies remained loyal to the Empire, however Basilia attempted to be neutral in the conflict, unable to side on the side of their slave-holding neighbors nor tyrannical rulers. Once the Iberian Crown attempted to attack a Basilian city to gain a strategical advantage, Basilia revolted. When they had won their liberty, Basilians elected Diego Scapino, a former noble of Spanish-Corsican descent, as their first king. One or two wars passed in the ensuing decades wherein their then-slave-holding Spanish-speaking neighbors would try to conquer their strange sibling, to no avail. In fact, their alliances with former-french colony Louisiana and the Scottish colonies allowed them to annex much land against their fellow sibling-colonies. As the years went on, the people became increasingly more demanding of freedom in their government. In 1794, King Baltasar IV abdicated the throne and abolished the monarchy in favor of the crowned republic. The first Doge, Arsenio Franco, is elected and the Commonwealth of Basilia is formed. The country dtays mostly unchanged from this point onward in history.

Basilia Occupies what would roughly be the American states of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virgina, West Virginia, parts of Maryland, and Eastern Florida, as well as the Bermudas and Bahamas, in our timeline.

[The Isle of Beithe]

On 9 July 1671, Captain Gordon MacBeithe of the Royal Scots Navy and the crew of the Majestic were shipwrecked during a typhoon in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, landing along the western shores of the modern state of Sussex. According to MacBeithe’s journal, he and his men spent the next three months exploring the rainforests of the unknown island on which they’d landed. Without spotting any other people on the island, MacBeithe initially believed the island was uninhabited, until contacting the Huyit tribe on or around 17 October.

MacBeithe’s first officer, Lieutenant James Durham, had gone missing during a sudden and violent storm in late September. After finding a bloodied piece of Durham’s shirt while hunting on October 12, the captain feared for the worse. To his surprise, however, his lieutenant appeared three days later—slightly limping and bandaged across his forehead, but overall, seemingly well. Durham was wearing strange garments. When questioned, Durham said that he’d remembered little of his experience, including how he was injured, but that he had been rescued and nursed to health by five beautiful young women (according to MacBeithe’s journal, the lieutenant had described them as “five beautiful angels”). Offering Durham his private whiskey, MacBeithe ordered his first officer to get some rest, but Durham insisted that he take the captain to the women immediately. He claimed, that earlier that morning, the tribal chief— “a massive man, almost 7 feet tall”—had appeared to question him. Unable to understand each other’s language, they eventually established communication through drawing pictures in the dirt. Durham said the chief demanded to meet with MacBeithe. Though MacBeithe suspected Durham had been going mad from his head wound, he reluctantly agreed, and the men began a two-hour trek through the forest.

The tribal chief (“indeed a beast of a man,” MacBeithe described him, “but with a surprisingly warm, gentle demeanor about him”) greeted the captain with a gift: a large slab of an unidentifiable cooked meat. Expecting to meet savages, MacBeithe was stunned by the the chief's kindness.

Three years passed and MacBeithe and his crew had developed friendly relations with the indigenous peoples, who he eventually learned called themselves “Huyit a’ghu” (caretakers of the forest). With time, MacBeithe developed fluency in the Huyit language and even managed to teach some English to the chief and others in the tribe.

In February 1675, Rudolph Smith, captain of the English merchant ship Dover, spotted the wreck of Majestic and promptly set sail to the unknown island. MacBeithe greeted Smith wearing a green robe, the attire of a Huyit chief (not understanding the concept of a naval captain, the Huyit chief considered MacBeithe a fellow chief and bestowed it upon him as a gift). Initially refusing Smith’s offer to give him voyage back home to Scotland, MacBeithe eventually agreed, desiring to spread word of the magnificent island and the peacefulness and generosity of the Huyit people. Dover set sail in April 1675 with MacBeithe and six of his crewmen as passengers. First Officer Durham and 23 crewmen of the Majestic chose to remain on the island.

Upon arriving home in Scotland, MacBeithe spread his story with an evangelist's fervor. King Charles II of England learned of MacBeithe’s discovery and issued the captain a royal charter to begin settlement of the south Pacific island. In 1678, MacBeithe began his return voyage, bringing with him 67 colonists, many of whom hailed from his hometown, Edinburgh. His ship, the Herald, reached its destination sometime in early 1679. MacBeithe had been granted governorship of the new settlement, which he dubbed “New Edinburgh.”

Gordon MacBeithe served as governor of the Colony of New Edinburgh until his death on 1 August 1692. Under his leadership, he and the over two hundred colonists who had settled on the island (mostly from Scotland, though some from England and Wales) lived in peaceful co-operation with the native Huyit. Following MacBeithe’s death, the colony was renamed Beithe in his honor.

The 1707 Acts of Union, the official merger of the kingdoms of Scotland and England, motivated more Scots to settle in Beithe, and by 1715, the colony had a population of approximately 600. Stories of the island’s beauty and natural resources also enticed settlers from Germany, France, Italy, and other European nations to seek their fortunes there.

Though the Colony of Beithe was officially under British rule, the young South Pacific colony initially enjoyed relative freedom from the Crown.

Prince Henry of Great Britain first visited the Colony of Beithe in 1791 and quickly fell in love with the island, declaring himself ruler through royal prerogative in 1796, and in 1797, he received the official endorsement of the British crown. Though the colony never officially adopted the name "Principality of Beithe," the term has been used by historians to describe Prince Henry's reign from 1796 through 1804.

Beitheans revolted against Prince Henry's rule in 1804. The First Civil War of Beithe, also known as the 1804 War of Independence, lasted only five months. After signing terms of surrender in October 1804, Prince Henry fled the island and his fate has remained unknown. It has been assumed that Henry's ship had been caught in one of the fierce storms that are common off the coast of Beithe. Upon the war's end, the eight states of Beithe (originally, there were ten states, but several states merged) declared themselves each as a sovereign state.

In 1875, the eight states of Beithe agreed to reunite into the Federal Republic of Beithe, beginning with the treaty known today as the Act of Reunification and followed by the ratification of the 1876 Constitution of Beithe. In 1877, the nation was re-organized into twelve states.

The modern Allied States of the Isle of Beithe was formed in 1948 following the Second Civil War of Beithe and the rise of the National Party.

Greater Eireann first began as a confederation of the various Orthodox British, Irish, and Scandinavian peoples, first becoming united in the year 1421 A.D. for common defence against the increasingly powerful continental states of Europe. It first enlarged its borders when the ailing Byzantine Empire asked to join the Confederacy in 1444 A.D, citing the ever-growing Ottoman threat to the East. United by Eireannian Orthodox Christianity, the Eireannian Confederation invaded the Ottoman Empire in 1460 in a coalition of various European powers, recovering Cyprus and Smyrna for Christendom. The Treaty of Adrianople further partitioned the Ottoman Empire, shattering it into various smaller territories and city-states.
