Elections will be held in Eiran from December 10 and 20, in which the Eireanese will vote for the 57 Members of the Legislative Assembly, each representing a single constituency, an for the President. After the election, the president will invite one MP (the leader of the largest party in the Assembly) to form a government.
The Republic of Eiran has recently won its independence from the Kingdom of Breiton and since then national politics have been dominated by the feud between Chlanní Lugheam and Orí u-endh Cláinnan
Chlannaí Lugheam - National Democratic Party (CHL): born out of the more radical wing of the pro-independence National Party, it's fiercely anti-Breitonner, nationalist, moderately socially and fiscally conservative
Orí u-endh Cláinnan - The People's List (OEC): formed fromm the other wing of the Nationals, it's socially conservative, has a protectionit line on the econonomy
Conservative Free Party - Uideinn D-Uighean (CFP): born from the fusion of the two anti-independenc parties, the Conservatives and the Liberal-Whigs, it supports market liberalism, better relations with Breiton and is moderately conservative on social issues, it proposes abolishing the Presidency
Labor/Social Democrats - Llíebauraí SoDem (SDL): a coalition of two moderate social democratic parties, socially orecentrirstand fiscally center-left, it supports a more proportional electoral system
Cíonachlánneía d-Ighe - Republican Movement (CRM): the continuation of the second largest pro-independence party, more left wing than either of the descendants of the Nationals, but less protectionist than the OEC
Greens - D-Lélluin (GRN): a socially liberal and fiscally center-left party, it supports a fully proportional electoral system, a weaker presidency and abolishing the 2-year national service
