KING OF LOWASHA ASSASSINATED BY SOCIALIST AGITATOR

Indus, Lowasha, December 11th -- On December 10th, 2018, the monarch of Lowasha was killed by a socialist revolutionary during a speech ironically on the threat of communist revolutions.

After shooting the monarch with a long-range rifle, the assassin stood up and shouted the famous phrase "let the ruling classes tremble at the socialist revolution." The agitator has not been found, but it is suspected by most that they are fleeing towards Old Northwest.

"We'll gladly grant them refuge," stated the representative for the Northwestern government.

"We will always accept those fighting for freedom. This revolutionary is a hero."

In the absence of King Lionpaw IV, the Lowashan nation has fallen into a brief period of disorder. A group called the "Congregation of Commerce" has taken de facto leadership as the King has no heirs.

Experts are saying this may be the end of the Lionpaw dynasty. The new commercial leaders have taken steps to restore order through private means by employing private security and private justice systems, utilizing the laws of their respective company.

The Congregation's mission statement is "to ensure each Lowashans self-ownership and ensure the right to free, private entrepreneurship."

The monarchy had already garnered extreme negative attention, according to a Lowashan citizen who wished to remain anonymous.

"[The king's] posse always would treat us like nails, pounding in those that stick out," said a Lowashan citizen.

"His guards once spit on my cousin and called him a queer because he was a beggar. A second man came and beat him to death. I will never be able to forgive those bastards."

"Equal Power Act" passed by Congress to eliminate hierarchy in government

Laborem, March 5th -- Congress passed the "Equal Power Act" this week as a means to eliminate any remaining forms of major unnecessary power hierarchies. The Act, passed with a 93% majority vote, severely limits the power of the executive branch, effectively making Congress a semi-executive body as well as its role as legislature. André stated to the Laborem Daily that he "was in full support of this legislation."

The "Equal Power Act" states that "no government official shall be treated differently than another. The Executive of the Proletarian Dictatorship's power needs to be severely under the watch of Congress, i.e. the proletariat."

This Act was passed after the discovery that technically, due to the recent hacking of library.nw's archives, there was no record of any acts giving the executive branch and the President power. Congress used this as a moment to limit the power of said executive.

With this in effect the World Assembly stated, "even the most lowly council pen-pusher has the same political power as a senior minister." The World Assembly sees this a huge step forward in political freedom. Despite this, Congress has not stated whether they have the intention to loosen political restrictions of right-wing and centrist groups.

URGENT NEWS! ANDRÉ ASSASSINATED, CONGRESS DISSOLVES, COMMUNIST PARTY ASSUMES POWER

Laborem, March 17th -- President André Thomas was killed last night in an attempted coup by members of the former Federationist government! The Liberal Party, which has been increasingly counter-revolutionary as of late, infiltrated his apartment complex and slit his throat. He died in his sleep. A day of mourning will be held this Friday.

The Liberal Party, which is overwhelmingly formed of ex-Federationist officials, attempted to storm the Congress building. Militiafolk in the area managed to stop the attempted invasion and coup. Congress held an emergency meeting this morning; it will be their last. Congress voted with an overwhelming majority to dissolve itself and hand power to the New International Communist Party. This move was done as a means to assure that the Proletarian Dictatorship can never again be overwhelmed by bourgeois forces.

The Communist Party, formed as a merger of the New Communist International and all Northwestern socialist parties (with the exception of the People's Party), had declared it's intentions to subordinate Congress to the Party's central leadership. Officially adopting a Leninist vanguard model and ultra-left position on the Proletarian Dictatorship, the Communist Party is the new executive, legislative, and judicial branch of the Proletarian Dictatorship. Elections have been suspended.

Partisan Louie Kurtis, previously the right-hand man to André, is assuming a role as a de facto leader of the Party. The Communist Party has begun asserting its control in the Proletarian Dictatorship and has declared a new era for Old Northwest. "Revolutionary totalitarianism and the proletarian rule have now been secured for Old Northwest. Next, Revolutionary Communism must take the world," Partisan Louie said. It is currently not certain how the international community will react to this occurrence.

ICP establishes militia, combat training in Laborem

Laborem, March 21st -- The ICP has begun a new program, "Operation Class War," for the purpose of arming and training workers across the world. The combat programs will feature self-defense and martial arts training as well as a shooting range. The first buildings in Laborem have begun construction.

The program is intended to be permanent. Partisan Jerome Smithy spoke to The Proletarian Journal in an interview on the project.

"I'm glad that this program is being rolled out," Jerome said. "It will serve to ensure the consolidation of the revolution. Self-defense is increasingly important in our world."

The Party also cited the recent political shift as a motivation for Operation Class War. "The Cultural Revolution can never end. It may have lulled, but we see what happened. Rightism is what happened. Let's take back the State and armed defense!"
