POLITICAL RIGHTS:
Was the current head of government or other chief national authority elected through free and fair elections?: Indirectly-- the Monarch is appointed by the Senate, and the Senate was elected by the people. The Senate can also remove the Monarch.
Were the current national legislative representatives elected through free and fair elections?: Yes
Are the electoral laws and framework fair, and are they implemented impartially by the relevant election management bodies? : Yes, all elections are overseen by the Election Committee, a completely independent committee that oversees all elections and has the power to make changes to the system to prevent voter suppression (for example, they can order a polling place to be open later, or can mandate a recount)
Do the people have the right to organize in different political parties or other competitive political groupings of their choice, and is the system free of undue obstacles to the rise and fall of these competing parties or groupings?: Yes, the King encourages different political parties, so long as the parties don't promote violence (very few do).
Is there a realistic opportunity for the opposition to increase its support or gain power through elections?: Yes, very much so. Senate elections are held every year, meaning the entire Senate is reelected every year. Seeing as the Senate has the power to remove the Monarch (by 3/4 vote), they could also remove the Monarch and appoint a new one from their party. However, this is unlikely to happen in the near future as the three largest parties support the King. However, if he did something too unpopular, he would be voted out.
Are the people’s political choices free from domination by the military, foreign powers, religious hierarchies, economic oligarchies, or any other powerful group that is not democratically accountable?: Yes, as much as is possible. Although we are a Monarchy, we are a Constituonal Monarchy that really does value freedom.
Do various segments of the population (including ethnic, religious, gender, LGBT, and other relevant groups) have full political rights and electoral opportunities?: Yes, the Royal Charter mandates protection and equal rights for all, regardless of gender/sexual orientation/religion/race/disability/age/etc.
Do the freely elected head of government and national legislative representatives determine the policies of the government?: The Momarch (appointed) and the Senate set policy, the Cabinet (appointed by King) makes policy within the limitations that the Senate sets out, and the Royal Court (Senate-Appointed) overturns anything inconsistent with the Royal Charter (or common sense).
Are safeguards against official corruption strong and effective?: Mostly. The occasional corrupt Senator will slip by, but at higher levels (like the Monarchy), there is no corruption. Political corruption is always a felony, and is investigated by an office independent of oversight.
Does the government operate with openness and transparency?: Yes, except that strategic military/police decisions are classified if the information could be dangerous. However, classified information is still reviewed by a committee to make sure the military/police aren't using classified documents to hide corruption.
CIVIL LIBERTIES
Are there free and independent media?: Yes
Are individuals free to practice and express their religious faith or nonbelief in public and private?: Yes
Is there academic freedom, and is the educational system free from extensive political indoctrination?: Yes. Students are given all the information and are free to make up their own minds.
Are individuals free to express their personal views on political or other sensitive topics without fear of surveillance or retribution?: Yes, a free exchange of ideas is encouraged.
Is there freedom of assembly?: Yes, but limited. Violence or disrupting others is never allowed. But peaceful groups may meet or protest.
Is there freedom for nongovernmental organizations, particularly those that are engaged in human rights– and governance-related work?: Mostly, but human rights group have strict government oversight to make sure they really are supporting human rights.
Is there freedom for trade unions and similar professional or labor organizations?: Yes
Is there an independent judiciary?: Yes, with the exception that the Monarch has pardon power (can make a sentence less severe, but never more severe)
Does due process prevail in civil and criminal matters?: Yes. A judge must approve any detention over 24 hours, and all individuals are assumed innocent until proven guilty.
Is there protection from the illegitimate use of physical force and freedom from war and insurgencies?: Yes. The main priority of the police is to stop any and all violence.
Do laws, policies, and practices guarantee equal treatment of various segments of the population?: Yes.
Do individuals enjoy freedom of movement, including the ability to change their place of residence, employment, or education?: Yes, except that grade-schoolers must go to a school in their district.
Are individuals able to exercise the right to own property and establish private businesses without undue interference from state or nonstate actors?: Yes, but businesses are overseen to make sure workers are treated well.
Do individuals enjoy personal social freedoms, including choice of marriage partner and size of family, protection from domestic violence, and control over appearance?: Yes, these are very strongly protected. The King's Guard (like our version of the FBI) has a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Prevention task force.
Do individuals enjoy equality of opportunity and freedom from economic exploitation?: Yes

POLITICAL RIGHTS:
Was the current head of government or other chief national authority elected through free and fair elections?: Yes. Although they first acquire power by overthrowing the previous leader in a revolution and purged the old guards.

Were the current national legislative representatives elected through free and fair elections?: Yes.

Are the electoral laws and framework fair, and are they implemented impartially by the relevant election management bodies?: Yes. In fact, there is the "Citizen Advocate" body that independently supervise the independently run election management body (and other government bodies in general).

Do the people have the right to organize in different political parties or other competitive political groupings of their choice, and is the system free of undue obstacles to the rise and fall of these competing parties or groupings?: Yes. All assembly and organization is constitutionally protected, even the literal racist and bigoted (although violent organization is prohibited).

Is there a realistic opportunity for the opposition to increase its support or gain power through elections?: Yes.

Are the people’s political choices free from domination by the military, foreign powers, religious hierarchies, economic oligarchies, or any other powerful group that is not democratically accountable?: Yes.

Do various segments of the population (including ethnic, religious, gender, LGBT, and other relevant groups) have full political rights and electoral opportunities?: Yes.Even convicted child abuser has the right to vote.

Do the freely elected head of government and national legislative representatives determine the policies of the government?: Maybe. The days of shadow governments and super PACs are long gone, but the oligarchs' opposition against higher taxes and worker protections is still strong and their funds matter a lot.

Are safeguards against official corruption strong and effective?: Maybe. The War on Fraud is undoubtedly successful, but it is undeniable that the vast majority of investigations is directed against the opposition and their backers of the military-industrial complex (which although they are very corrupt, isn't necessarily a healthy practice).

Does the government operate with openness and transparency?: Yes.

CIVIL LIBERTIES
Are there free and independent media?: Yes, but the vast majority are a loyal supporter of the current government.

Are individuals free to practice and express their religious faith or nonbelief in public and private?:
Yes with constitutional protection.

Is there academic freedom, and is the educational system free from extensive political indoctrination?: No. While the academia are free, the elementary to high education is filled with NWO ideology indoctrination of classical liberalism and globalism. (Meanwhile the government said "This isn't indoctrination, this is truth").

Are individuals free to express their personal views on political or other sensitive topics without fear of surveillance or retribution?: Depends. Everyone including racist hate group is free to express their opinion without retribution. Surveillance meanwhile, everyone is under AI (not-so-intrusive) surveillance so that wouldn't matter.

Is there freedom of assembly?: Yes.

Is there freedom for nongovernmental organizations, particularly those that are engaged in human rights– and governance-related work?: Yes.

Is there freedom for trade unions and similar professional or labor organizations?: Yes. Mandatory membership however is constitutionally forbidden (freedom of assembly includes freedom to not assembly).

Is there an independent judiciary?: Yes.

Does due process prevail in civil and criminal matters?:Yes.

Is there protection from the illegitimate use of physical force and freedom from war and insurgencies?:Yes.

Do laws, policies, and practices guarantee equal treatment of various segments of the population?: No. While government-funded institutions and government laws is constitutionally prohibited to be discriminatory, the government has no say if private-owned institution want to ban the burka in workplace, implement racial segregation etc. (Contrafa SJW forces is very active though).

Do individuals enjoy freedom of movement, including the ability to change their place of residence, employment, or education?: Yes.

Are individuals able to exercise the right to own property and establish private businesses without undue interference from state or nonstate actors?: Yes.

Do individuals enjoy personal social freedoms, including choice of marriage partner and size of family, protection from domestic violence, and control over appearance?: Yes.

Do individuals enjoy equality of opportunity and freedom from economic exploitation?: Yes and No. All individuals receive quality subsidized education and opportunity, and "class". On the other hand, there limited to no worker protection laws or minimum wage (including child labor).

Very happy to see that Autarkheia is one of the most unfree nations on earth. Freedom is for the weak, decadent liberal democracies who only care about hedonism, degeneracy and globalism. Autarkheia strives for greatness and is willing to sacrifice individual freedom for the good of the nation. Hail Evola!
We are free to believe that this is the century of authority, a century tending to the right, a Fascist century. If the XIXth century was the century of the individual (liberalism implies individualism) we are free to believe that this is the "collective" century, and therefore the century of the State.

Hello! I’m a GAer and NS Roleplayer from the United Kingdom.
My pronouns are he/him.
Any posts that I make as GenSec will be clearly marked as such and OOC. Conversely, my IC ambassador in the General Assembly is Ambassador Fortier. I’m always happy to discuss ideas about proposals, particularly if grammar or wording are in issue. I am also Executive Deputy Minister for the WA Ministry of TNP.
Kenmoria is an illiberal yet democratic nation pursuing the goals of communism in a semi-effective fashion. It has a very broad diplomatic presence despite being economically developing, mainly to seek help in recovering from the effect of a recent civil war. Read the factbook here for more information; perhaps, I will eventually finish it.

Do the people have the right to organize in different political parties or other competitive political groupings of their choice, and is the system free of undue obstacles to the rise and fall of these competing parties or groupings?: Anyone can create a political party. However, ballot access rules, particularly at the federal level, are strict, which in practice limits the nation to having 3 major parties.
Is there a realistic opportunity for the opposition to increase its support or gain power through elections?: Yes.
Are the people’s political choices free from domination by the military, foreign powers, religious hierarchies, economic oligarchies, or any other powerful group that is not democratically accountable?: Yes.
Do various segments of the population (including ethnic, religious, gender, LGBT, and other relevant groups) have full political rights and electoral opportunities?: Yes. Everyone holds equal political rights.
Do the freely elected head of government and national legislative representatives determine the policies of the government?: Yes.
Are safeguards against official corruption strong and effective?: They are stronger now. In 2016, a major vote-buying scheme that included the then-president was revealed. He resigned and many of the others involved were impeached. New laws were past that give Parliament more oversight over elections, previously the Elections Committee was a purely executive office.
Does the government operate with openness and transparency?: Moderately, but the government is sometimes criticized for 'backroom deals,' particularly where foreign policy is concerned.
