by Yichuan
There is no official languages in Yichuan, but the two most dominant ones are Yichuanese and Jangbaekan.

Yichuanese (Essentially Chinese) is the most common out of the two. Dialects vary from province to province, with each one having its unique dialect. Jinniu'er and Mianyang Yichuanese (Cantonese and Sichuanese respectively) are the most unintelligible out of the dialects, not only due to the proximity to other groups such as the Dai and Jangbaekan peoples, but because of their relative isolation (Jinniu is isolated by mountains, while Mianyang is mountainous.) Standard Yichuanese is based upon the Liuqiu dialect, and has been the lingua franca of Yichuan since the second imperial era. Yichuanese (as a first language) is spoken by about 63% of the population.

Jangbaekan (Korean) is spoken by the ethnic Jangbaekan people, based in the Jangbaek (or Changbai, in Yichuanese) Plateau. It is spoken by about 27% of the population as a first language, and has three dialects: Hanyang (Seoul/Gyeonggi), and Northern and Southern Jangbaekan. Hanyang has the most speakers, taking up just under half of native speakers. It is based in and around Hanyang, the largest city in Jangbaek, and borrows heavily from Mianyang Yichuanese. Northern Jangbaekan tends to borrow words from the Eastern Yichuanese dialects, and is based in the city of Seosan. Southern Jangbaekan is the "purest" form of Jangbaekan, given its distance away from the various Yichuanese dialects. It is based in Taebaek.

The remaining 10% are made up of native Dai peoples (Tai-Kradai peoples) as well as immigrants from all over the world.
