Main sniper rifle in your country

Well, what's your country's main sniper rifle? Please don't say Intervention just because it pwns on Modern warfare 2. It isn't the best sniper out there. There's no "perfect" sniper.

The main pure sniper rifle was the Hodoran clone of the PSG-1, the TR7-62 0P. The TR7-62 0P was used from 1990-2010. The new rifle is not a pure sniper rifle, but a designated marksman rifle; the Hodoran clone of the HK417, designation TR7-62 1A. The 1A series is for use from 2010-2030. The next rifle is the TR6 1U or STR6 1U with a 508 mm barrel, designated TR6/508 or T508 for the TR6, and STR6/508 or S508 for the bullpup STR6 rifle. The 1U series is to be used from 2030-2050.
The anti-material rifle role is filled by the TR12-7, the Hodoran clone of the Barrett M107 rifle for the 1A series, and a Hodoran-built rifle for the 1U series, with two variants; a conventional rifle and a bullpup rifle, designated STR12-7.

Just kidding, excuse my lack of rifle knowledge though. The Rhodian National Defence Forces currently use the Barrett XM500,manufactured by the Barrett Firearms Company. Combined with a .50 BMG cartridge.

Anyway, When I said the 98 bravo I didn't fully mean it. It is called the "Light Fifty", But not in my country. It uses a heavier, DU core, full metal jacket, Tungsten Penetrator round that is, needless to say, expensive. 120$ per round. Oh well, we tell the workers "We use them to protect you so you can't charge us."

For a DMR role, we use an FN FAL with a bipod and an optic of the DM's choosing.

For a long-range sniper rifle role, we use an AWM(the .300 Win Mag), not the AWSM(.338 Lapua Mag).

For an AMR, we use an M82A2, since it's got a recoilless layout and it makes life easier for the sniper. For the longest time we wanted to use an IWS2000, but having the flechette penetrate both sides of a vehicle would defeat the point, and there's too few IFV's and light tanks to make it cost-effective.

Our DMs use the standard infantry rifle in 5.56x45mm, with a longer and slightly heavier barrel, a fully adjustable stock, and a scope and bipod.

We don't have many specialist snipers but the few we have are allowed to choose their own weapon. We prefer that they use a 7.62x54mm round for logistic reasons. Those who prefer something else are basically responsible for their own logistics.

Incidentally, one of the few exceptions to our no-weapon-imports law is the specialist sniper, who is allowed to import his weapon of choice from anywhere in the world.
