If the person closest to the current leader can't read, talk, walk, or write, then the oldest and second or third closest leads until the next true heir becomes of age.

As for our monarch? Well our Queen is an immortal computer AI, so there's no need for a line of succession for the monarchy. She will reign for eternity.

The Emperor, who is the German Head of State and Commander-in-Chief, is always a member of the House of Hohenzollern, and is chosen through dynastic rules of succession - usually, it's the eldest child of the previous monarch. Due to the fact that the Emperor receives his position by the grace of both God and the German People, his reign is retroactively considered to begin the instant his predecessor is pronounced dead or abdicates.

The Imperial Chancellor, who is the Head of Government, is appointed by the Emperor; following this, the Reichstag, which is elected directly and proportionally by the People, has to confirm the choice, or decline it - in which case the Emperor must choose somebody else. Failure of the Chancellors to gather a majority three times will result in a general election of the Reichstag. The Chancellor can also be dismissed either by Imperial Decree or by a Reichstag vote of no confidence.

The president is chosen every three years by a ranked choice popular vote. The sitting Federal Assembly may dispute the election if some kind of fraud is suspected, but in the 141 years of the Republic this has never happened.

I've changed my country a bit since I last did this, so here's an updated version:

The Chairperson of the Council of Democrats is nominated by the former Chairperson, who usually promote around 5-13 people. Once those people are selected, the Council of Democrats can choose from anywhere between 2-4 of those candidates. After that the candidates must win the popular vote on an international level.

Anyone can participate in the Election, they must receive nomination from a Senator, House Rep, and Parliamentary Chair.
After the nomination, the candidates can voluntarily debate on National Television, it is expected that those who are trailing behind should end their campaign and choose another candidate to endorse.
Debates are operated by Television Networks, most commonly NPNM, and the network determines the 'winner' based on a score system by the network.
Candidates are also expected to go Nationally and Campaign, generally large population centres are the most visited, however many Presidents have won by visiting smaller provinces.
Without Political Parties, the Presidential Election is much less organised, however still has a lot of organisation.
After all debates are through, people begin voting on the Second Monday of November and stop on the Third Monday of November
Votes are expected to be counted by the Last Monday of November.
If no candidate gains more than a Third of the National Vote, while holding majority, then the top 2 Candidates will have another vote from the Last Thursday of November until the 30th of November.
Votes then have until the first day of the New Year to be counted and a final score will be published.
If somehow the unfortunate occurrence of a tie happens, which is nearly impossible with a popular vote, then Congress and Parliament will decide, if they can't then whoever gets two of the three chambers.
If another tie happens, again unlikely, then the High Council will decide, if another tie happens, then the King will decide.
A tie would have to have occurred three times in order to constitute the continuity of the vote as referenced above, which makes this scenario nearly impossible.
