The obvious father of Ruritane is Tiklalik Efnef, the founder of Ruritane, but I would like to talk about the mother of Ruritane, queen Annalise Victoire Laskarina Clara Miryam de Buryaume Jardonaise Tiramisu.

Queen Annalise was the first ruler of Ruritane after Rome fell. She stopped Ruritane from becoming a HRE-esque state of bickering fiefdoms and made it one united kingdom. She also let Jews into Ruritane, leading to the plurality of religion in Ruritane today. Queen Annalise built castles, a lot of castles. Sadly, tons of rumors swirled around her, like any female medieval leader, and Annalise got assassinated at the young age of 27. Her influence is still felt in Ruritane today.

[Greenwichian Arcadia]

The Founding Mother Nicole Greenwich appeared seemingly out of nowhere to become an Arcadian equivalent of Joan of Arc and to inspire the Arcadian revolution. Washington had died during the French and Indian war long before, and it was her friend and consort, Gerald M. Walker, who did all the fighting. Greenwich, unlike Joan, was not burned at the stake and she never claimed that her ideas were “the lord's will”. The national capital, Greenwich City, was named after her shortly after the peace treaty was signed.

After the war, Nicole Greenwich had been elected to become the first President of the Commonwealth and ruled fairly for 10 years. Since reelection of the President is illegal according to the Constitution, she was succeeded by Gerald M. Walker afterwards and was appointed as the Head of the National Academy of Sciences. At this office, she advocated the introduction of the metric system developed by France, had expressed keen interest on electricity and invited Alessandro Volta to demonstrate his very own voltaic pile. These actions had sparked a great interest in natural sciences throughout the fledging nation.

Nicole Greenwich had died of influenza on the November 20th, 1802 CE, while being at her desk, and was buried in the Darlington National Cemetery. And even now her fabled name rings through the world with loud applause. (Yeah, a Hail Columbia reference.)

[Zhouran]

In Zhouran, the Eternal God, Yekezhong (Putonghua: 叶克忠; Pinyin: Yèkèzhōng; Ancient Zhouranese: Yekejong) and the Fertile Goddess, Kang Yulu (Putonghua: 康玉露; Pinyin: Kāng yùlù), are seen as the Father & Mother of the Kangyuli Minzu. The Spiritual Mandate, which is the indigenous religion of the Kangyuli people that was created somewhere in 3,270 BC, is strongly intertwined with Zhouranese culture and the highly-unique Kangyuli ethno-cultural identity, which is made easier by the fact that the Spiritual Mandate is a secular religion.
