"Yes and no. Technically speaking we don't need to eat. Only Gluttony requires sustenance to survive. Sloth, for example, eats nothing. Too much effort for him. Envy and Wrath rarely eat, but when they do it's usually of the mortal variety. Greed has been known to eat certain items in his hoard so as to safeguard them within himself, though only his most prized possessions. I like to dine on fine foods and drink just to keep up appearances. And Lust... well, she... 'eats' people. Just not in the same way that Envy and Wrath do. No, the people she 'eats' tend to enjoy being... 'eaten'. They 'eat' her as well, and she certainly enjoys that. I don't think I need to paint you a picture."

'If the game is rigged, why keep playing it'? Another excellent question, with a surprisingly mundane answer! The love of the game, of course! I am nothing if not a sucker for a good game, which is why I try to play fair when I can. The game is rigged, certainly, but that doesn't mean everything about it is - just what needs to be. Technically speaking the game could have ended a long time ago, but where's the fun in that? No, no, no, the longer it goes on - the more interesting it gets!

'Why not end it'? Well, as I said, it's more fun to keep it going. Besides that, the universe is not infinite and it will eventually come to an end. When the universe ends, the game ends. Fortunately for me, there are other universes where I can start new games and the cycle will repeat itself again until once more existence returns to state of total darkness and there are no boards left to play the game on.

"This is one of those rare times when a mortal asks a very good question! Oh yes, they have a sense of morality. We all do. It's just incredibly skewered when compared to human morality. Human morality is based around fairness and selflessness, whereas demon morality is the opposite. What is good to you is bad to us, and what is bad to us is good to you. Some demons can even embrace human morality under certain conditions, most notably Cambions - human-demon offspring. The closest any of us come to human morality other than Cambions would be Lust and the Succubi/Incubi, who only stop just short of being moral by the fact that they're all technically rapists. Lust included."
