ADHAALATH (Divehi: ޢަދާލަތު ޕާޓީ), meaning "Justice" is the official government-owned news source of the Islamic Republic of Huvadhu. Established in late 2018 after the proclamation of the Islamic Republic of Huvadhu on the oil rig of Hithadhoo, the newspaper has over 800 readers and subscribers on the four oil rigs of Huvadhu.T The newspaper is government-owned and may show some biases towards the Huvadhi government, although generally reporting from ADHALAATH is mostly unbiased according to most local readers. Roughly 972 copies of ADHALAATH are circulated, while more readers are subscribed to it online.

In recent years, ADHALAATH has decided to publish an English-language version to expand international outreach.

JIHADIST BOAT SUNK BY HUVADHI ISLAMIC SECURITY FORCES - TENS KILLED OR CAPTURED

The gun-running ship full of Jihadists and their weapons which was bound for Addu.

A spokesman for the Huvadhu Islamic Security Forces has confirmed that the force's maritime wing has successfully sunk a boat containing at least twenty Jihadists from Somalia bound to Addu after a grueling twelve-hour standoff. The same spokesman confirmed that one of the captured men identified himself as a member of al-Shabaab and said the boat was carrying guns and mortar bombs to instigate Islamist tensions and attacks against the Huvadhi government in Hithadhoo.

The gun runner ship that was carrying mortar shells, bombs, guns and other munitions while intruding Huvadhi EEZ fired upon a passing patrol boat from the Huvadhi Islamic Security Forces. The small hydrofoil vessel quickly called for reinforcements which resulted in a standoff between the Jihadist boat and three missile hydrofoil boats, the IRHS Koimala, IRHS Ibrahim Nasir and IRHS Afeef Didi.

After a number of attempts to force them to surrender with peaceful negotiations, the boat still refused to comply and attempted to take offensive action which resulted in the patrol boats firing their anti-ship missiles, destroying the boat. Eight Jihadists were captured while the remaining have been assumed as dead.

The incident took place several hundred nautical miles off the south of the capital of Hithadhoo, which has alarmed many of the threat these Jihadists pose.

President Ibrahim Moosa Ali Thakurufan posted a short message on his micro.blog account this morning, praising the HISF for their efforts in bringing down the Jihadist threat and keeping Huvadhu safe. This is one of the many attempts at undermining the Hithadhoo government after the increasingly Salafist 'Islamic Renovationist Sharia Party' was banned from the national parliament and its leaders arrested. Roughly 20 members of the party have formed a street gang Islamist group wannabe called the 'Jaysh al-Madhi' and have been committing petty crimes and theft along with vandalism and other forms of dissent.

The Huvadhi Islamic Security Force has taken a harsh view on the 'Jaysh al-Mahdi' after an officer was stabbed by a Mahdite fighter. This, combined with a wave of anti-government attacks and now the attempted smuggling of arms into the country has led to an increased state of alert against Islamist and terrorist threats. President Thakurufan has said to adress the parliment later this evening to discuss possible methods of action to take against the growing threat of these Islamists.

A man has been detained by the Huvahu Islamic Security Force after he reportedly attempted to fornicate with a fish, local media reported.

The incident took place in an alley of Gan rig when two officers from the Security Force were alerted to the man’s lewd actions by a group of neighbourhood sharia patrol volunteers who witnessed his act.

Zaheed Ismail, 34, was caught by the two officers and brought to Gan Security Outpost for questioning.

The man used the fish as a masturbation tool, with nude photos of a male Korean pop star on his phone.

With Huvadhu’s laws against bestality, the man may serve at least thirty years in prison. The discovery of the photos also could land him a death sentence for homosexuality. His trial is scheduled for next week.
