From a biological point of view, what makes a male or a female attractive to the opposite sex when in pursuit of a mate is necessarily hardwired into our psychology, with some degree of variation around a common held concept of the ideal mate, in order to successfully enable procreation.

This means that though beauty as a standard features a common set of ideals across all of us, it is substantially subjective enough to enable different preferences and views.

However many cultures have built different standards off of this freedom allowed within what defines attractiveness, and often taken to some extremes that might render the individual unattractive to a foreigner. Yet these standards of beauty for both men and women appeal greatly to the culture and society in which they emerged, and serve to help continue the genetic lineage of the group.

Whilst these beauty standards are therefore all rooted in what can be assumed to be the same basic ideals, though perhaps variable depending on race, the path a specific group may go down is often unique to itself or its close neighbours.

Males: Basically what is considered masculine in the first world is masculine here. A deeper voice, more testosterone, muscle, intelligence, lack of emotion, etc.

Females: Again, it's the same thing. Intelligence, humor, being skinny and healthy, etc.

Amenrian women are considered beautiful if they are slim and tall, with very bright skin to contrast their black hair. This is why many vampire women are popular among our male population.

Our beauty standard for men is more flexible. As long as the man is not obese, has smooth skin like a woman's, and dresses nicely, he could be percieved as attractive.

There are many standards according to social classes and preferences, but this will be a brief summary.

Male:

The possibly disappointing answer is that there is no cultural standard of beauty in the Free Territory. There is neither a dominant conglomerate of mass media nor bureau of agitation and propaganda to impose such a standard on the population. Whether one person finds another attractive depends on two factors: personal preference and perceived health.

That being said, most Sassons prefer people who are neither overly skinny nor obese (which isn't really an issue since obesity is so rare in this country), but who have some muscle, and low to medium body fat.
Full hair and clear skin is a plus, and so is symmetry of face and body.
The population is rather mixed ethnically, so eye, skin, and hair colors from the brightest to the darkest are considered equally attractive.
Strictly heterosexual people often find stereotypically masculine or feminine traits in the opposite gender attractive, for example tall and muscular men and shorter and more curvy women, but there are many exceptions to this generalization.

Since the Anarchist Commune is currently undergoing a cultural revolution towards more and more sexual freedom, pan, trans, intersexual and genderqueer orientations are becoming increasingly public and mainstream. - The body should be free of "kibbles" (the vehicle-mode parts that stick out while in robot mode) that interfere with its overall fitness. No weak ones that only serve to collect blast damage or get bent by slight impacts. Big, strong ones are fine and can add to your attractiveness.
- No obviously-bad engineering.
- Everything should be properly symmetrical while in robot mode.
- No add-ons that interfere with flight while in plane mode.
- The body looks physically strong and sturdy.
- The face is capable of a full range of movement.
- The eyes have flat panel covers like they are supposed to! (No Bayish beady eyes)
