This is for other nations to view the Election for the Prime Minister in Valgora.
Here, you can ask the candidates questions, endorse candidates, make a general statement about the election, etc.
OOC: Please have it in the form of an actual statement or a tweet or something. Nothing like "I endorse [candidate's name]" or "We support [candidate's name]" or similar. Please put more thought or details into it.
Due to the election laws in Valgora, please do not donate money to candidates. Violators will have their money returned after 50% of the money has been taken from it as a fine.
OOC: You can still choose to send money to a candidate. This can be accomplished by either just sending it with the risk it will be found, or you can try to lower that risk by smuggling the money in or something. However, I can not guarantee that the money will actually be useful to the candidate.
Valgora is a Syndicalist/Socialist Technocratic Parliamentary Democracy. The citizens have a lot of say in the government and the creation of laws. This government is also fairly new, it's less than 10 years old.
There are two leaders: the Leader, Dr. Timotei Lininsson, who is not elected and has that position for life; and there is the position of Prime Minister. The Prime Minister is elected through popular vote every two years. Both positions are the Head of State and the Head of Government and have the same power.

He graduated from the University of Valgora in Martröð Tunglið with a masters degree in law and sociology. He fought against the government during the revolution until his injury in the Defense of Gerpir which cost him his right eye.
He is focusing on repairing infrastructure that was damaged and/or destroyed during the revolution and the building newer infrastructure. His secondary focuses revolve around increasing the transparency of the government and increasing the power of local governments.
He is fairly well liked and stands a good chance of winning the election.

Thorberg Hrafninn was a colonel in the old military before defecting to fight against the government. He proved to be an excellent fighter and an excellent commander who was known for not just leading from the front, but for leading why literally in the front while charging towards the enemy. He continued to fight until being wounded by an explosion, with shrapnel causing injuries that forced him to give up fighting for the remainder of the revolution.
His focus revolves around boosting the military. He plans on focusing on infrastructure that is of importance to the military. He also Believes that it is of vital importance that counter-revolutionary group, VKM, and the terrorist group, KFB, are eliminated. While he doesn't agree that freedom should be sacrificed for security, he does believe that the local governments are powerful enough and that Valgora has "enough democracy"; however, he has said he is not going to stop the idea of an e-democracy if the people want it.
He is very, very popular; however, the support for him to be the next Prime Minister is not very high. He is expected to do well, but has a smaller chance of winning the election.

During the revolution, he advocated for compromise between the revolutionaries and the government. After the government lost and was recreated, the Liberal Party no longer existed. So he helped to create the Independent Party.
He has the most outspoken focuses of the hopefuls. His primary concerns are repairing infrastructure, stopping the fighting between the VKM and the government through compromise, and creating a "third-way" that "mixes the best parts of capitalism and socialism" as part of his compromise to ending the fighting. His other focuses are on getting Valgora to participate more in the world through the World Assembly. He believes that narcotics should be more regulated and he supports increasing gun control.
His popularity is extremely low and he stand a very, very small chance of winning the election. In fact, many have said that they would chose Hermina over Oern if they were forced to. His low popularity and support is very much related to his views on narcotics and gun control.
